They can eat chicken bones I thought they were bad for dogs just curious I wanna feed our dogs all raw the dog food is getting horrible thanks your dogs are beautiful 😊😊
Raw meat is horrible for dogs
Do they have any difficulties with the bones?
Do you freeze the raw for at a least 2 weeks before feeding?
Wow, never seen people feed fruit as a meal to their dogs before! Interesting!
When someone feeds their dogs fruits it’s about two blueberries along side meat, organs, bones around 2% veggies n fruits
I replied to your other comment, but I’ll reply it here again as well. But I’d also like to add that dogs In the wild do not eat a buffet. They eat mono meals which is easiest on their digestion. Their digestive chamber only has 1 chamber for divesting which means mono meals are ideal. A mono meal is a specific type of food for that 1 meal. If it’s fruits that they eat then that’s all they eat in the meal. When wild dogs or wolves go hunting, they eat only the prey animal which would be considered a mono meal (every part of the animal is still the animal). They won’t gorge on berries and other vegetation purposefully while eating their prey. But nice their body digest the prey animal and they’re ready for their next meal then they would go for fruits and only fruits alone. This rotation is true for wolves in yellow stone as well. They don’t eat meat with complicated combinations.
studies on wolves have shown that they do specifically eat fruits as well. Wolves in yellow stone feed on fruits like watermelon even when there’s an abundance in prey animals. Feeding meat too often can lead to toxin build up because nowadays meat comes from farm favorites or the animal agriculture. The animals in those industries are not fed a species appropriate diet. They’re fed toxin and fattening products which becomes stored in the skin. When we feed too much meat like that, disease occur. Not to mention wolves and wild dogs travel up to 50 miles per day while most dogs barely get in even 3 hrs of walk time. Too much meat + lack of exercise = disease. I used to feed my dogs meat 2x everyday. I’ve tried a few different diets, but I found the rotational monofeeding diet to cure the symptoms of illnesses in my dogs. Dogs are opportunistic scavengers, not a 100% carnivore. Cats would be considered 100% carnivore. That’s just a little snippet of why we need this rotation 😊 wish you the best on your research and journey 🙏
@@PomPomBrothers I totally agree with you with mono feeding but it's not that feeding your dog plants and meat in one meal is a buffet, but it mimics a dead prey animals meat, bones, organs, and also the pre digested plant matter in the animals gut. Mono feeding is a bit easier on the dogs body so it can digest one thing at a time because some people like to overload their dog on veggies or meat. Other than that, I love the way you feed your dogs raw and I'm hoping to get my dog Marshmellow on this diet soon because she is overweight and she has issues with itchy and irritated paws and I want her to be healed by feeding her a natural diet raw diet that nature intended for her species to eat instead of dry kibble and having to cook food which changes the meats molecular structure and doesn't give the same benefits. I just got to hope my family will be on board. Love your vids and your dogs! 🐕
@@PomPomBrothersthanks for explaining I was confused watching the video but it makes sense now
Love watching them eat 🥰
❤️❤️❤️
To much fruits for the dogs oh my gosh they’re carnivores, when wolfs kill a rabbit it’s just whatever veggies the rabbit ate on top of that it’s a lot of sugar and especially these dogs that are so small!
Hello Lizet, studies on wolves have shown that they do specifically eat fruits as well. Wolves in yellow stone feed on fruits like watermelon even when there’s an abundance in prey animals. Indeed. lots of sugar is not good for anything. They will go hyper and fret a lot... "jittery". Dogs are carnivores and need meat and fat.
@@PomPomBrothers I see where you are coming from. Would "organic" meat help solve the issue?
They are so adorable!! Even more so when they eat! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Btw how much do they weigh ?
Thank youuu 🙏 I’ll pass the compliment to them ☺️ they range from 6lbs to 20lbs . Prince, smallest guy, is a Pekingese/pom and Star, biggest guy, is a Maltese/bichon 🐶
😍😍 so simple. Breakfast looks easy!
It’s a super easy and healing diet 🤓❤️
Love your videos. I am feeding this diet and have seen results however they are getting so thin. I feed 3 fruit days then 1 meat day amd fast for 1 day and repeat. Thinking about adding another meat day. Here it looks like you are feeding fruit in the am and meat for dinner, am I correct? I just added sweet potato and quinoa. I also learned from your video to increase fruit day to up to 10% of body weight and meat up to 5%. Struggle with melons but believe they are best but they pee so much.
Hi Trina! Thank you for watching 🙏 we appreciate you making the effort to feed your dogs a species appropriate diet!
I’m not sure if you saw the weight loss file in the Facebook RMF group. But I’ll break it down for you here 🤓 weight loss is actually quite normal when beginning a healing journey. This is because toxin and waste from being misfed, supplements, vaccinations, etc. are stored in the layers of fat in the body to prevent the liver from being overburden.
During the healing process, the first thing to go will be the layers of fat because it is of no use to the body. You may notice healing symptoms such as farting, burping, scratching, discharge, etc. then, the muscles, organs, tissues, and so on begins a deeper healing process.
If a dog is losing weight and it’s difficult for him to put back on weight, it’s because his intestinal tracts and gut was damaged so absorption has become an issue. However, if he is being fed correctly, overtime, his weight will balance out. The weight gain and weight loss period will vary for each dog depending on medical history, diet history, activity level, demeanor, etc. The good news is the water content from fruits will loosen up the mucous and waste that embedded itself along the intestinal lining and will be eliminated. This takes time.
Sometimes it will take a year or longer for a dogs body to heal and for their weight to balance out. Some dogs will stay very skinny for months to years whether you add additional food or not because their body is unable to absorb it due to waste buildup that needs to be eliminated first.
Over feeding will add more burden to the healing process. However, if the weight loss is due to not eating enough food, follow some tips below 😊😊
1. Add another meat day
2. Remove a fruit day
3. Add more dense fruits on fruit day
4. Increase the percentage of food you give
I feed my dogs on rotations so I don’t feed them meat on the same day as fruit days. The clips of them eating in this video are clips from breakfast on different days. Fruit days will only have fruits. Meat days will only have meat.
I used to do the 3-1-1 rotation as well, but I realized that we were giving them a lot of water content fruits and not enough dense food so their weight loss was due to that. Not enough calories in their food. So now our rotation is 2-1-1. I prefer high water content fruits (watermelon, papaya, mango) in the morning and dense fruit at night (banana, purple yam/quinoa, dates). The more dense the fruit, the higher the calorie.
Some people start their dogs at 6% fruits but increase to even 8-10% for a certain period. Then, when the healing is on track and the dogs begin to gain weight, they will lower the percentage they feed on fruit days.
I would say play around with how much you feed. If you notice that there’s an increase in itching, butt scooting, burping, farting, and lower energy then reduce the amount you feed. Over feeding doesn’t always mean it’s good for skinny dogs, especially when you notice them displaying those symptoms more frequently. I notice I feed too much if my dogs have diarrhea or if they butt scoot. Once I adjust the amount, they no longer do that.
Omg the melon does make them pee a lot. That’s why I feed melons and high water content fruits in the morning and more dense food at night so I don’t need to wake up 3-5x 😂😂
When it comes to eating high water content fruits, it might be hard to get them to eat 10% of their body weight. I would cut 3/4 of a watermelon for the 4 boys and allow them to eat till their heart desires. If they can eat more melons then I’ll cut more but it seems to not be on the higher percentage of the scale. However, they know when to stop. Not saying all dogs know when to chill out with their food 😅
Dense food will help regulate your dogs weight and adding another meat day will help too. You can try the same rotation as us and see how it works for you. Just remember sometimes feeding the right diet will cause them to loss weight and they might not gain back the weight until their body is repaired itself. Let me know how it goes!
Best of wishes to you ❤️🙏
@@PomPomBrothers this is so helpful. I have seen my oldest girl bitting the top part of her mid back. Assuming she is healing but makes me nervous. Will try 2 fruit followed by 1 meat and 1 fast day with more dense fruits in pm. I am feeding apples, pears, amd cucumbers mostly.
@@trinabolyar1906 I would try quinoa mixed with purple yam to see if they would like it. Usually most if not all dogs enjoy purple yam and quinoa. 50/50. When purple yam is steamed, the complex structure of the yam becomes similar to fruits, which makes it really easy for them to digest. You can also add dense fruits as training snacks or snacks in general if you don’t want to do 3 full meals. Sometimes I’ll give my boys bananas mix with almond butter as snacks but I don’t do it often. I think banana by itself is better😅
Waste can be detoxed through the skin. Sometimes the skin will look like it has an infection like red itchy bumps or yeast infections and rashes even puss being pushed out…. But that’s a sign of healing. Healing will come in waves. It may come out a bit now then subsides and begin again later. It goes deeper each time and some periods of detox may be much more intense. This will happen over a period of time whether it be months or years until the body is repaired and back in harmony.
Just watch and observe her through this healing journey 🤓 we are always here to support you🙏
@@PomPomBrothers thank you so much!
Fruit is just sugar. Not really good for anything. You can add some fat (beef fat or whatever).
These dogs ares being improperly fed. Not an appropriate diet for any canine and definitely not vet approved.
love your video 😊
Thanks so much Elise
It’s ridiculous what she feeds them 😢
No wonder your dogs eat so much because they’re starving 😩 they’re not humans remember they’re carnivores
The protocols and rotations are flexible. Because of their previous lifestyle, they’re on 2 fruit day, 2 meat day, 1 fast day rotation to detox and heal their digestive system. Even if we were to feed them a lot of food everyday, it is too much for their bodies to handle as they are still healing internally. There is no point overfeeding if their bodies cannot absorb. Once they heal more, we plan to change up the rotation. 😊 we are human as well and want to see them healthy happy and eating!
Dogs have intestines like wolves, not like monkeys or humans. They naturally do not ear fruits. I think this is not the best diet for these dogs
Papaya? Why you feed your dogs with that you he papaya make me go to poop and to much papaya it hurts the stomach I didn’t know that kind the fruits are good for Pomeranian I’ll will consult my dog veterinarian if that’s good for Pomeranian thank you for you video 🤔
Vets know less than nothing about what is healthy for dogs to eat. They actually think processed overcooked waste products are preferable to real food like this. It keeps them in business because it causes disease.
Thank you for your comment. Yes, we feed them papaya because it’s a high water content fruit and accelerates the detoxication of waste process. We noticed the toxin being released from their body through their poop, which was a positive sign when they ate papaya. Now, every single one of our dogs enjoy papaya and they digest it just fine.
Wild dogs and wolves eat fruits as secondary food source. Our domesticated dogs may not be wild like their wild ancestors but they still have the same physiology and bodily functions.
As for consulting vets, most conventional and even holistic vets may not be knowledgeable about this feeding method, rotational mono feeding. New raw food diets are becoming a trend and there are different raw diet models. However, based on experience, rotational mono feeding is the diet that has changed my dogs health and began the healing process for their body.
You can visit the resources mentioned in the description to learn more about what we feed and why we feed it. There’s also links to the RMF diet website to expose you to the benefits on this model and why it’s not conventional yet there’s truth and proof behind this model.
Take this as you will. Everyone is responsible for their own due diligence to research and choose what is best for their dogs.
Best of luck to you 🙏
My dogs will look at me crazy if I try this... 😆 they only eat raw meat patties and cooked meat I have to hide vegetation in the meats...
😂 they might look at you crazy for a little bit but when their body is detoxed and healed, they’ll thank you 😉😂
@@PomPomBrothers yeah I know I'm high raw myself... I think I'll add more fruits and veggies to their meat meals
@@PomPomBrothers but they have yeast issues and when they have too much fruit the yeast will overreact they are on goat's milk and probiotics for that
@@williamcullin dogs that are fed home cooked meals or premade raw daily actually tend to still get sick just like dogs that eat kibble, however, at least the food you give is more fresh. But, even premade raw has a lot of fat grinded into patty. We can never know the true portions that goes into grounded premade raw patties. In addition, home cooked meals tend to go through molecular change in structure due to high heat. Nutrition and structure becomes altered from its natural state.
I adopted a dog over quarantine, Star. He actually came to me with yeast infection. I also used to do home cook meals and premade raw patties for about 1.5-2 years. During that period, 3/4 of my dogs had yeast. It could also be because of puppy vaccinations.
However, since switching to the rmf diet, I notice Star is going through a detox cycle. The yeast must come out because yeast are a kind of bacteria that eliminates toxin. All bacteria breakdown and decompose waste. When a dog is eating meat, especially premade raw or home cooked meals, toxin begin building up. The thing is that we are not aware because we believe premade raw grind is already proportioned with healthy ingredients. We believe that cooking meals are a better option because the “bacteria is killed”. However, because of our unawareness of how heat affects meat and unawareness of the ingredients and amount of it that goes into premade raw, we miss out on giving our animals the best that we can. 3/4 of my dogs developed yeast in order to try to eliminate the waste accumulation.
However, since being on rmf, my 2 of my dogs fully recovered from yeast and Stars symptoms is being relieved. I believe in a few more months, he will surely recover fully.
Still, due to accumulation of waste in the body for a year or 2, their body is still expressing symptoms of continuous detox and healing.
In all, yeast or other signs of sickness is basically the body trying to detox. If we can assist their body and accelerate the process through correct feeding, their symptoms will fade quicker. Bacteria’s are basically the clean up crew in their body.
Fruits are normal and natural for dogs to eat. If you study wolves, you’ll see that it’s normal for scientist to find remnants of seeds from fruits in wolves diet.
We are not vets or nutritionist. However, from experience and research, fruits and fast days accelerated the healing process. Star, who used to have extremely itchy skin, paws, and ears as well as gooey eye boogers has improved drastically. No more soaking his paws and skin in holistic remedies. That’s the power of correct feeding = relieve your dog of discomfort/pain while saving you money 😂
That's because they are carnivores. They need meat (only).
min 7:38 thats what she said 🤣😂
This is soooo inappropriate to feed dogs, you give the raw meat too .. I feel sorry for these dogs omg
Poor dogs they’re so hungry that they eat anything 😢
Not true. Dogs do not thoroughly masticate their food like we do because for them digestion begins in the stomach. So it's all about just getting the food in there fast. It does not mean they are starving.
Thank you for your concern about our dogs. Our dogs get the necessary nutrients that they need in order to live a healthy life.
We feed based on rotations due to the different speed of digestion for different food. If meat was mixed with fruits or other plant food, it causes stomach upsets and complications for the digestion. However, feeding mono meals allows their body to digest at the rate that is necessary for that mono food. Less complication, less strain on digestion. It also imitates that of wolves.
Wolves do not feed on meat everyday. They also feed on plants/fruits on other days. They will go long periods without meat depending on season, location, prey availability, and prey vulnerability. Wild prey are leaner and cleaner with their diet. They are not being fed by outsiders who give them fattening products.
In our world, people’s goal are to raise animals with fattening products to make them grow as big and fast as possible with foods that are not the best products…. Compared to the wild, our prey products are much more fattening.
Due to this, we should know to minimize the fat content and feed the amount that allows our dogs to thrive, not be obese or have a body that is a container for diseases.
We also have to realize that our dogs lifestyle are not like their ancestors, who travel 25miles or more daily.
Over feeding + lack of exercise = diseases.
I’m not a vet nor a nutritionist. However, that is basic common knowledge for anyone.
P.s my dogs have always been foodies, but when I feed meat daily, they become uninterested because too much meat will require a lot of effort for digestion, which delays healing and regeneration. Dogs will also self fast and not eat anything for a certain period because intuitively they already know what their body needs. I’m here to help clean their system and assist their body, not overburden their body due to over feeding.
Now, they are definitely foodies with defined body shapes due to losing unnecessary fat around their waist. We are conditioned to believe that the more food we feed our dogs, they more energy they will have and the more we love them. However, we have to step aside and know food = energy being exerted on digestion and love does not mean over feeding.
This is my perspective on feeding. I hope this explains why we feed the way we do and hopefully it gave you a light bulb to do your own due diligence 🙏
