First lol. Loving your videos, Matt. Was just talking to my fiancee about confession and the need for priests in the sacrament. Prayers and love for you all who participate in Matt Fradd's ministry.

More about the objection to the role of priests and mediation: It’s not really to do with an argument for why Catholics have confession, but as a catholic in my experience going to confession it’s so incredible how amazing you feel after coming out of that confessional - I always get emotional but in a really happy and grateful way because I feel a real sense of forgiveness by Him ❤️ another thing is that it also teaches accountability - there’s no excuses for why you did something wrong, because it ends there: you something wrong. Confession makes me feel closer to God and more willing to love him (because sometimes it’s hard! I’m not perfect!) so confession helps me in my relationship with Jesus

What if I can't feel any closer to God? Or maybe how can you get closer to God who holds all things together? It's impossible to get any closer to God. I am forgiven and will always be forgiven. I have nothing to do with it. God did it ALL through Jesus.

@@metalmonkee2896 of course you can become closer to God! If you love God, then there are always ways to love Him even more. Our love for God should always be growing, and His love for us is infinite, shown by giving the world his One and Only Son ❤️ pray for the Holy Spirit to grow into a deeper love with God (i unashamedly admit that I am always praying this, and it is Jesus who makes my love for Him deepen more and more.) My love should and always will be growing - praying for you, brother!

Because he wants it that way? He left the apostles in charge. In Luke 17:13 -14 says, And they lifted up their voice, saying, ‘Jesus, Teacher, take pity on us.’
And when he saw them, He said, Go, show yourselves to the priests.’ And it happened that, as they were going, they were cleansed. So even when Jesus was walking among us he sent them to the priests.

Those were the priests of Judaism appointed in the Old Testament. Hebrews in the New Testament says we all are a Royal Priesthood and that Jesus is our High Priest, one mediator between man and God.

Rev 13:8 says Christ, as the Lamb, has been slain from the foundation of world. The Greek verb translated as slain is in passive perfect tense. Unlike that of English, Greek perfect tense implies the action described by the verb is completed in the past (at foundation of the world) with continuing result to the present from speaker/writer point of view. That is the reason why His Sacrifice on the cross can be made present in every Mass through the ministry of priests. Jer 33:18 prophesied that levitical priests will offer sacrifice continually and Isaiah 66:21 prophesied that non-Jews can be priests and levites.

    [‭Malachi 2:7]
For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and people should seek instruction from his mouth, for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.

I'm a Protestant who has been learning about Catholicism for the last year!
This sounded like some very insightful information, but unfortunately he talked so fast and furiously I had a hard time following him.
Is there any way you could create a transcript of this so I could really dive in and reflect upon the points he made? I would reeeaaallly appreciate it if you could!
    Thanks so much!
BTW, I loved your interview with Patrick Madrid on Sola Scriptura. It has been a real eye opener.

Can I suggest downloading the Catholic answers app on your smart phone. You can listen in to a few former protestants such as Jimmy Akin, Tim Staples etc answer all kinds of objections and subjects. Also look up Scott Hahn and Steve Ray to who were former protestants, I like Steve Rays videos on being Born again, Faith alone, infant baptism look them up

much respect for actually looking into the church. many people are quick to draw assumptions of the church that are simply untrue. it’s nice to see that some people look into it themselves. God bless, brother.

I Agree that Jesus is the only mediator between God and Mankind (1 Tim 2:5) But What does mediator mean? Does it mean Intercession?
I don't Think that, A few verses before in verse 2 in the same chapter Paul says: "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people"
So He commanded us to Intercede in the church, so The meaning of mediator means:" who gave himself as a ransom for all People" Verse 6 of the same chapter of Timothy.
A Mexican catholic theologist teaches that and I Belive it.
In Hebrews 9:15 we can confirm that, mediator means: who gave himself as a ransom for all People.
I thoght you would mentiont Something about it.

hearing at "catholic productions" dr Brant Pitre youtube channel:
Priesthood - Jesus, the Apostles and the Seventy (Two)
(+ Genesis 11 table of nations in Hebrew is 70, but in Greek(septuaginta) 72 nations)
    Luke 10, 1-12 17-20 (The Mission of the Seventy(Two))
    Why Seventy(Two) ? Because:
Numbers 11, 16-30 (The Seventy Elders) (26 Now TWO men remained in the camp, one named Eldad, and the other named Medad,...)
Moses and the priestly hierarchy: Aron the High Priest, + Aron, Nadab, Abihu + Twelwe Pillars/"Young Man" of Twelve Tribes + The 70: Priestly Elders of Israel (Exod 24,1-11)
Jesus and His Disciples: Peater, leader of the Apostles +Peter, James and Johns + Twelve Apostles of the Twelve Tribes + The 70: Appointed and send out (Luke 6,14 9,32 10,1-20 22,28-34)

The fact that you wont debate Jay Dyer makes it blatantly obvious that you know he will walk all over you in a debate. You know you will lose a big chunk of your audience after he mops the floor with you.
