Sweet! Glad to see this video go up and can’t wait for the Truggy . Mine should be here in the next month or so with spares. Decided I could not wait and after watching this video, I ordered the LC12B1 kit as well, which should show up much sooner! Looking forward to your future vids on these little guys!
Erik Johnston Haha nice one. They look really nice. Hoping to get the Truggy out soon!
I have looked at these for many years now. I am sold
Same
Diffs are oil filled and adjustable motor so you can change gear ratio and the pinion gear is 48 pitch. Plus the slipper clutch to protect the drivetrain.
0.5 mod but you can easily change to 48p using Losi Mini 8ight spurs.
LC Racing line of scale kits are the best keep secret of RC...nothing compares at their price. Stunning value, durability and fun! Greets to my friends across the pond!
That looks great and considering it’s size it’s even better, keep up the good work bud!
Cheers Troy
Ive been waiting for this video! Great stuff as always! Cant wait for the next one
Thanks dude.
Coming from a bunch of Mini E-Revo and the various derivatives this is really great right out of the box. Handling and balance is great and it’s a joy to drive, and it is really well made. Tip - check the tightness of every screw before going out.
I have the EMB-MT, and yes "a bit of a handful" covers it well. I can recommend thread locking everything, because it sends parts flying everywhere. My body shell broke in two during the first run. Using a Tamiya TLT truck body now. I'd like to do a long wheel base truggy conversion to make it more raceable. Looking forward to your truggy review :)
Hoping to get the Truggy out next week if the weather holds up
Wow, always been a 144001 guy but I have been super impressed with this LC and have been converted
The quality is awesome!
Fantastic rc car models💪👍👍
Keep on rocking tomley!
Thanks Mr Krab
This is 2nd time i watched this .really like this truck .it looks to be a solid truck
Lcracing is legit! Huge fan
Pretty impressive little truck, dude! 😃
Great bashing and review!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks mate
Looking forward to the truggy review. 👍 And a 3s run.
Wow! Great review Bro! Awesome truck! Epic little truck!
Cheers dude
Great video thanks again!👍🏻
The moment when you just ordered a 144001 for a speed build and TomleyRC comes around with something else. :)
It does look really awesome, the price is quite high however (probably worth it though). Looking forward to the truggy review!
Haha... sorry dude. The 144 is still a good buggy, and as you may have seen with my speed run build... really fast!
@@TomleyRC Yes, exactly that was what made me buy another 144001 and the parts. Still waiting for the electronics, but looking forward to it!
Dam! I need one of those. Great video. Keep them coming. 😁😁😁
Thanks dude
damn that is a perfect no prep basher. i wanna see some long jumps!
Another slick one buddy... love it.
Wish list 👍👍👍
Thanks Nathan
Oh man! Now I'm thinking of getting this instead of the wltoys. Awesome run Phil. Thanks for sharing.
If you can stretch to one of these..... I say go for it!
Definitely better than the LC
I mean LC is the better one
Do yourself a huge favor and get the LC Racing product!! I've gone thru TWO 144001's, those buggies were so costly to upgrade and they're CHEAPLY made and just aren't built too well. Too much stress, things just keep breaking!! LC Racing rocks, I just checked out their buggy, really NICE. Save yourself migraines in the long run. 👍💯
Wow!! Its pretty fast for the price!! Will have a look on it... maybe I will get one for Christmas!!
You'd be lucky to have it arrive by Christmas. When Banggood gives a future ship date watch out. Been waiting for an order over two months and another one over a month just to ship.
These were shipped the 16th Sept and I got them the 29th Sept (UK) 😎👍
@@TomleyRC great!! Here in Spain Aliexpress and Banggood are doing well. My last 3 orders took just 6-9 days to come!
Nice video! may i know what size of fastener does the LC racing is using compare with WLToys 144001 , are they using the M3 or M2.5 ?
Looks very nice! 👍🏻🍻
I have the Truggy lipo version , on 3S is a blast 💪🏻. Ideal for skatepark on 2S
Looking forward to running it!
Awesom Phil I always like your videos it is so interesting 💯💯💯💯
Thank you :)
As mother always said, you get what you pay for. Looks awsome!! Get it on the skate park....
Haha... hmm, skate parks... where RC’s go to die 🤣
Thats an awesome little mt and great video Tomley, im sure kevin talbot would be sending it to the moon if he had it lol. Looking forward to the truggy video, that was 2s and as fast as my wltoys959b
I'm really looking forward to running the Truggy.
lol yup... Kevin (lets break stuff!) Talbot! same time I got no real dislike for the guy either, if you want to see how tough something really is through abuse to failure he's good to watch. sometimes pretty fun+funny too really.
Yeah it looks great, should be awesome, 37mph on 2s was just awesome
Dear @ Tomley RC, a question between the minutes 08:07 to 08:12 shows the LIPO battery when it is going to connect to the car, there is an adapter that you use, could you please tell me what it is called or what type it is because I am considering buy this car and use it with LIPO batteries and that adapter is important.
Thank you very much for showing this nice unboxing of the EMB-MT
Loving all the content lately mate, just wondering what cameras ect you use?? I've started using a go pro and its not bad! Keep up the great channel 👍
Cheers mate. Gopro Hero 7 Black mainly. Recently been using the Hero 9. Also have a Session 5 & my phone now and again. Nothing fancy :)
@@TomleyRC cool im using gopro hero 7 Black first time today and really happy with the footage so far ,loving it! Looking forward to the next one!
This thing is epic ! It is really cheap (at least as compared to the other cars I've been browsing) and the quality is definitely there. I
Nice! Looks like a pocket rocket!!
Sweet test run bruv nice video 👌🏾
Cheers dude. The LWB will be good for your Speed Runs ;)
@@TomleyRC defo will be can wait to see you run it as I do like LC Racing from start. All my upgrade were mostly lc racing for my 144001 😁👌🏾 as like you said it what it base on so can only assume it be better. It a lot more price wise but I think it worth it. 👌🏾
That's a little pocket rocket Phil, nice choice mate.
Yes, pretty quick!
I like it,, thanks for sharing, and you cool videos, 👍👊
Whoa it’s an MT ....I like that 👍👊😎
Nice would you recommend the hobao sste?
I am wondering how well the diffs are greased up. But that's a little ripper. I just ordered a jlb 21101, but this is also worth looking at for the niece. I just bought her a Maverick Ion 1/18 truggy but I think this would've been worth the extra coin. Impressive. Looking forward to seeing the truggy.
The ION range from Maverick look really nice!
@@TomleyRC they're purely plastic which as you know is good and bad. The only issue is parts availability if things break. It also runs the same battery as the LC in your review and this one is brushed.
Looks more fun and durable than the 144001 👍🏁
Night and day difference in quality.
I think i got a duffy 144001-i havent hammered it the way i see some people on here, yet something breaks every time i go out-i want a team associated reflux 14b! (or an lc racing one). Getting fed up with repairing it before i can use it again! Any chance of getting the reflux 14b and comparing all 3?
I own the truggy so much fun on a legit rc track.
so from all the mini RC that LC have, this is the Only one that actually works very well with the Nimh battery. You just don't need to actually spend the extra for a lipo battery.
Welcome to the club👍🔥
I may have to get the Rally Car!
Nice video again, might do a video once the 4tec is back together 👍
Be good to see :)
Hey tomley nice review!!! What connector are those running they almost look like a ec3 connectors?
Not sure, but certainly looks similar
I think so but their polarity seems to be opposite of the usual way. Didn't find an adapter so my rx is now Xt60...
Phil, would the body post mounts fit on a 144001 ? Thinking might be good to change up the look, and do a body swap on it one of my 2 144001......
Yeah maybe. I'll have to have a closer look!
@@TomleyRC cheers
Hello, really a blast, this is insanely fast! Will those wheels fit on a WLTOYS 144001?
Yes, 12mm hex. Although may be a bit big
little BEAST! not "expert" on brushless motors but do know how determined they are in trying to reach their Kv rating if there's enough current feeding to support it. the 2840 size 5000kv swapped into my Graupner Cobra (2:1 gearbox boat) absolutely shreds the 16D 05 brushed motor it replaced, running same 15C rated 7.2v 6 cell sub C NiMh pack. not tried a LiPo in it and it might do a little better for the extra 1/2v.. 15C x 3000mah can deliver 45-50 amps and that's all the ESC is rated to handle anyway, is why I haven't felt need of going there. a lighter weight LiPo may also make the boat REALLY squirrely, its crazy enough already with a NiMh pack. same situation with 144001 with its 540-550 brushed motor vs the 2840 4500kv in this LC Racing MT, the brushless makes it QUICK.
Yes, it's not always about sticking the fastest motor in and going for it. Motor, ESC, Battery, gearing.... it all has to be in tune to get the most out of it!
Where sells these in the UK? I was looking at hpi mini but these seem superb too. Where can I get one ?
I just ordered the 144001 a week ago,I'm just waiting for it to show up so I can give it a good bash,I was saving for a crawler but once I had enough for the 144001 I got that instead. I just started saving again for a crawler, untill I see something else that is cheaper than a crawler that I want...
The 144001 is really good for the money
be aware, it's more a racer than a basher, and may fail with hard bashing.
@@modelnutty6503 thanks for the heads up,I don't bash too hard,I don't have skate parks near me or anything like that,I mostly run my rc in parking lots or on baseball fields, there are a couple little league fields close to me that aren't getting used right now
Sorry for fourfouring, but can we mount a 120 amp ESC + 3650 motor + 27 T pinion on the LC racing chassis ?
Because I could mount the LC body + tires + bumper + body mount on my 144001, and it has much more power, speed and range for the same total price :-)
By the way I do not recomand the LC tires: The cost is way too high for the quality and lot of better tires on aliexpress.
What are the parts etc like on these in terms of price, availability and selection? Nice vid as usual 👌🏽
It seems really bad. Try Aliexpress or Banggood. Next to nothing. Unless you're in the states where you can get parts from Nitro NCX, the parts option is terrible. This isn't put into consideration.
Yes i agree .
Double + the price of Wiltoys 144001. From the stated anticipated ship date looks like you'd be lucky to get this by December. At least it seems to be a good cheap one.
Double the quality as well. I really love the 144001, but the quality of this is something else
@@TomleyRC I can Believe that you bashed it pretty hard. Banggood is being stupid on a couple orders presently. Over two months after paying and has not even shipped. I doubt I will order anything that has an estimated ship date from them in the future. your vid...your vid was fine thanks.
@@robertredzich7292 oh you don't want to know about my experiences with BangGood STUPIDITY... got LOTS of stories about "customer service".
I am waiting for your review on the truggy.
I’m thinking about getting the truggy 🤔😁
If my memory serves me right the MTL and 1L models are the brushed versions. And yeah the MT body is rather crappy, mine exploded the first time I landed on the roof. I have the Mt and the truggy, I like the truggy the best as it is the most stable.
Cheers dude. I'm waiting for good weather to get the truggy out, hoping to get it on a dry BMX Track!
@@TomleyRC I'm going out in a bit with mine. I converted it to a long wheel base monster truck with a JConcepts body for the mini e revo.
Vi todos os anúncios do seu vídeo para te dar uma força ❤️🤙🏼
It's very capable but the price is double the wltoys if I'm honest...
The car is really quick though and quite a basher
I had to laugh. I wrote my comment after yours but, before I read yours. Pretty much the same thoughts. Are you my long lost brother or something? 😏
Yes, but it is double the quality.... or more!
In Malaysia the wltoys can be gotten at about £50... but this LC costs £180. I am not contesting the quality, it does look amazing, but at 3 times the price... it's a different price bracket already 😅
@@hubertdouglas9509 true, on a budget you could convert the 144001 to being brushless, and give it a few other minor adjustments/upgrades to make it rock without spending over L100. spring choice, shock oil choice, wheel camber and toe alignment etc all add up for how it'll handle competing. sure the 144001 is a kinda "sloppy copy" as gotten but its still a pretty decent platform if you dig in a little (to your pocket, a little deeper!).
I could get three 144001s for the price of the LC. With all the upgrades you may spend a bit more, but then if you do want something of quality then the LC is the one to go for... although budget is not appropriate to be associated with the LC in comparison to the 144001s
These look great 👍🏻 are spares available? I can’t see any?
Yes, plenty... eBay has a fair few as well.
@@TomleyRC Thanks, I’ll have another look. Was looking at the Arrma Typhon but this looks like a cheaper half decent alternative. Less extreme may suit the family better? What’s your opinion?
Think I prefer the EMB-T
What’s the runtime you’re getting on the NiMH? Vs the Lipo?
I’ve not done a full run on the Nimh, but the Lipo is 20mins+
A979b killer!
Yes... but a lot more expensive lol
hi.
I own a truggy, but I was very unlucky with the purchase...
the rear arm on the left side, came with a measurement defect in the fitting of the arm on the chassis.
and because of this defect, the left arm and wheel are pulled forward by 1.5CM. this causes the steering to never be aligned...
and I will never be able to correct this defect...
I try to reduce the issue in the command by pulling the left front wheel a little to the right, and that way the race improves a little more.
but I was very disappointed with this lack of professionalism from lc racing.
Anyway, I like the truck and the rest, I've never had any other issues.
I just changed the basic servo to metal...
thanks.
Is this the same truck as the Tacon Valor that nitro rcx sells for $170 brushless
Not sure mate
Yes it is.
So what came first the lc racing buggy or the losi mini 8ight?
Very good question... and one I can’t answer 😅
@@TomleyRC I've done a side by side of my mini 8ight buggy and a 144001 and the similarity is there
I went to order one but the coupon already expired! Also what happened to the truggy video? Are they actually the same apart from shell and tyres?
Truggy video hope fully next week
@@TomleyRC Looking forward to it,Got one on order now-you convinced me-please see post on facebook regarding connectors!
Seems more usable with the NIMH though?
Yeah, certainly a little less lively!
Is it possible to fit the 144001 motor mount on the LC racing?
Don't think so.
Woww.... spettacolare
imagine running this on a 3s Lipo🔥
It is fast for stock vehicle
I'm pretty sure the buggy version is almost the same as the Losi Mini8 & Mini8-T.
Yup I believe so too . shock towers are s different design on losi though .
I have been thinking the same thing qhen I was searching for the Mini 8ight-T.
Not sure who did what, but they look very very similar. I notice Losi doesnt do the Mini buggy or truggy anymore, so whether someone else is just using that design, or Losi had just bought the rights to them before like they did the DBXL, Im not sure.
Almost, but pretty much the only parts that will swap over from the Losi to the LC is the spurs, and slipper pads at least that is all I could get to work anyway.
@@slick2500 i wonder if they are same OEM tho, and changed ever so slightly. Chaiss layout is very similar. I know theres you could say a lot of chasis design are, but this looks like an OEM thats had parts changed just to make them unique.
The Losi quality is a hundred times BETTER than ANY of the WL Toys, the Hosim brand, Eachine racing and many more of the Chinese direct brands. I mean their good for a little while, then in no time, the problems start. 👍💯
Is LC Racing a "brand name" brand? I see rcMart sells LC Racing products.
Yes it is a decent make
@Tomley RC don't want to be splitting hairs here but to say. "If you've been looking at the 144001 and want a bit more quality then this is the one." you must have properly compared the two cars?
It's kinda a pet hate to see videos on the Wltoys brand-144001 being advertised for revenue. As a perfect cheap/fantastic hobby grade car.
Then it's sold up the river, months later with this car. That never gets the same tear down/scrutiny or in fact the same treatment.
WLtoys is 100% worth every penny. As I mention more than once in this video, if you can stretch to this then it’s way above the WLtoys for build quality and quality of components. I still rate the 144001 as the best bang for buck 😉
I’ve torn the 144 down in another video and had it over a year... get an LC Racing in your hand and you don’t need to tear them down to know
Which one u like more? The MT or the TG?
The Truggy :)
Gorrila tape that shell from the get go.....
Isnt that thing 3s capable?? Go on ,you know you want to!!
Yes, I believe so
yup, because 36-37 just isn't fast enough for a 1/14... /s
(still be fun to see it do 50)
Hey can anybody tell me its runtime ? Im planning to get it
Definitely worth it eh?
I have the wl toys 144001 and i must say that has very low quality in parts and driving. Man this lc racing perform so much better. I thing i will stop using my 144001, i am very sorry to say that, but the axles bend so easy , i have lost move from the front differential, it's broke after some 3 passes of 100km\h speed runs and roll overs with 3s and 2s lipo and 4000 kv motor. I also have brake the rear right end part (caster) with the rounded head screw, two times this damage. I have lost already two back axles. Of course the problem was the crashes and the 100 km/h but again with the half speed if i do some rolls it will breake every time. In LC racing monster i see that you can drive it, it has excellent controll as i see from the video for so fast driving. Guys sorry but the wl toys models is not for hard driving, and that's why is so cheap. Really the rear end part brake very easy and the kind of metal parts bend so easy, personally i am dissapointed from the wl toys. It's not nessesary to run 100 km/h to brake it, with less of 50 km/h and rolls it will brake to easy. Sorry but if you try to bash it and some roll overs with the wheels you will see how easily the rear end parts and the axles how easily you can damage them. If you drive it in straight and you don't roll over with the wheels it will last, but in generall fast driving and roll over will brake easily. I was expecting all of these damages , but even an 1/8 model with 6s lipo driving will brake more often compare to 4s lipo driving. You must learn to drive progressivly to see the limits of your model, but don't forget guys everything brake nothing is unstopable. If you don't brake something it means you don't have fun with it.
tried heat treating the dog bones? get them glowing a good orange and drop them into a tin can filled with some nasty old used motor oil can case harden those parts .006 or .007 deep (at least). true the 144001 is a little racer, not a basher, its going to break if you're bashing it. suspension needs to be soft for racing means 3/16-1/4" down from full height at rest so it has positive+negative suspension travel.. while a basher wants to be almost full height on the shocks with thick oil in them to land those TOO HIGH jumps. I can tell you get racer vs basher too.
Try to tell the guys on the 144001 group the LC Racing cars are better and they will whip out the pitch forks and torches.
@@slick2500 all of us we bought the 144001 because is nice looking and look like an lc racing, is fast because of high gearing and is cheap. But in rc hobby grade models the less cheap the worst quality in parts and more often you see damages. I know in rc hobby cars that they brake some time especially when you drive it hard and you do roll overs or crashes, but man the 144001 is to sensitive. The rear end part that attach on the back wheel , brake in the point that the rounded head screw, screw on the rear end. Rear end is the name of the part if you google it, it also says it in the manual. So this rounded head screw destroy the threading on the rear end part every time the model do roll overs when roll over with the wheel's. And the axles bend so easy because the metal is low quality on purpose. Also if you crash in a straight line in the middle of the model in the bumper, you can bend very easy the centre drive shaft, i have bend it one time and i know that. So buy two three spares for replacement. Also i have lost move from the front gear box completely. Generally the 144001 are not made for many crash, if you drive them gentle without do roll overs especially with the wheel's , it will last. At least is cheap and you can fix them easily, but from a point and then if you like hard driving it will make you to park in the room and use it after some days or weeks or months. For me guys buy a smaller motor in diameter and that means also a smaller pinion gear and you will controll it much easier because now it to fast. Smaller pinion gear means, less top speed , but better controll. Just try it and if you like it keep it like this, and every time you like speed put the 540 motor with the gear and do high speed driving.
The 144001 buggies cost next to nothing and are aimed at newcomers. Amazing value for money when you think about it.
You can't please some people....
@@madaxman72 yup definitely what you would expect from a $80 rc car.
I want to see the truggy
Looks great, I guess my only concern is these are now getting into the brand name price range, so why bother with these no-name brands?
LC Racing is pretty well known. Not a cheapo brand :)
Oscar Oliu this is a brand name
If they almost based same what's the difference between the wltoys rc cars... I know ones brush and other brushless.. set up. And xfl buggy
look same also.. buggy they make except that as aluminum swing arms with aluminum chassis... why didn't lc racing didn't put aluminum swing arms suspension system for the price they put them to. I'd be better buying 1/8 scale cobra vrx racing truck/truggy in bang goods for extra 50 dollars.. 244.. dollar's they sell that one for
Also.. I think they are lil high in price this lc racing 1/14 scale.. with out the aluminum swing arms suspension..
I want the truggy
3s test run soon?
Yes hopefully
looks fun👍. but I wish they came with unpainted shells. that paint looks horrible.
I think they do
You can order them with clear shells
Looks as if you are only just about in control. Don't know about lipo.........think it might need some lithium carbonate, mood stabilizer.
It's a little 'out of control'... must be from the 'Evans' side of the family 😅
@@TomleyRC I couldn't possibly comment.
On 3s it would easily back flip!
Yeah, really easy
maybe even from zero lol
At that price you can get... A 1/10 Redcat brushless with parts availability though
there are parts available in Michigan,US location
Hello, could you tell which model of redcat brushless you mean?
I'm suprised by the price. The shocks are terrible. I have the same on my 144001. One has lost half it's oil after one session. The others needed working over as well. When I spend $200+ for a car I want decent shocks. Haven't found proper, affordable replacements yet.
Did you buy the Shocks for the 144? The LC Racing ones are not the same, look well built...but time will tell if they will hold up!
@@TomleyRC Visually they seem the same as on the 144001. You can buy spares of the same make on aliexpress. One of the first things I did was dump out the undefinable black oil from the factory and put in brand oil. It handles better, but they still leak a ton.
RackwitzG Yeah the LC ones look the same, but they are not. Slightly smaller in diameter, and look/feel a little better quality
Oh wow, talk about a keyboard warrior. Please tell me you are not trying to bash a company because the - and I quote "they look the same." Based off a picture you're looking at over the internet. You sir are not worth dick cheese on a cracker.
i love it. Wish i could afford one lol
I didn't tell you man
Well since. Covid my credit card won't work,,,or a gift card wanted to order from Banggood, for my grandsons Birthday, before Covid I had no issues
'H'is basically higher spec, 'L' is lower spec.
A bash around and a look at the electrics isn't exactly comparable. Could you look at things like slop or play in the wheels? Maybe open a diff up and check the mesh/grease level. Wltoys gets a bad shout once people are done advertising it.
Yeah, this video wasn't a comparison to the 144001... more a review of the EMB MT. I will sit them side by though at some point
Play at the wheels is about the same on both and it is do to the steering drag link. LC Racing diffs come oil filled with 3,000k diff oil iirc, mine were spot on when I opened them up, the gears could use a good shimming but in the past 2 years I have only lost diffs do to the pinion coming off the output shaft. Anything else you would like to know?
@@slick2500 finally someone with an honest mouth. So its literally the same as wltoys apart from the type of plastic used and maybe better metal for gears.
It's got all the play in all the same areas? Would that be fair to say?
And would you say the wltoys is worth buying despite you owning and lc racing?
Me Him ‘honest mouth’... that would imply mine isn’t? Lol. I never said in the video the 144 is crap, I never said in this video not to buy the 144 or that it is not worth the money. I simply reviewed the LC Racing and said it’s better quality, and to buy one if you could afford it.
It is better quality, but the 144 is worth every penny. I have 2 of them, I big my original one up all the time as it’s still going strong after about a year, but these LC Racing are better, no question about it. Thanks ‘slick2500’ 👍🏻
@@TomleyRC Tomley let "slick2500" take over from here. If you felt I've implied something then do a better job!. plastic break no matter what company.
The main drive train still being sloppy and needing shimmed
Worth it?
The play in the wheels and steering drag link till being the same as wlyoys. Worth it?
None of that is worth the extra money if you've still got to shim here and there.
So where is the quality for money in the plastic? In the same aluminum chassis? The 2 shouldn't be compared even if the 144 is a knockoff.
✌🏻😎🏴it’s about time dude. I’ve been telling everyone for years WLTOYS suck 😂. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the other one too 👍🏻. Bangnotsogood still sucks though 😂.
