They are extremely well built. My friend resurrected a rally version and gave it to me. He had all the parts to build off of a really bashed up chassis that I still use to this day. The differentials still have not been opened, drained, cleaned or anything and this thing has alot of hours on it, despite it being about 5 years old! I only broke the front and rear hub carriers, and have crashed hard into curbs, and walls. The plastics used in these cars are really plyable and have a nylon, but flexible feel to where it absorbs impacts making it superior for r/c. I would rate it close to how rpm products are preferred over aluminum products on certain applications, like control arms. Tacon is my favorite R/C brand and 1/14 scale is very fun. I came from 1/18 scale losi Mini T, mini LST, micro R/C as well. My friend said that him and another friend literally tried destroying the donor rally car which I now own, and they couldn't break it on 2s. 3s was too much for gravel bashing and axles began to break from the tight slipper, so just 2s was perfect. The only piece that broke was the servo. I replaced it with a digital metal gear Savox, custom made mounts, works nice. Highly recommend this brand, I'm thinking about getting the Valor, but I'm liking the EMB-T as well!
@@TomleyRC I'm trying to find my GoPro...used it in quadcopters and then gave them a break...rc cars are expensive, but drones are worse. Now I can't find the bloody thing. I've been using my phone, but trying to figure out how to get good shots like you, as you gave really nice footage. I've thought of wearing the GoPro with a head mount, but that'll make the footage boring, unless I start crouching and laying on the ground, putting my face in front of a vehicle going 30mph.
Did you manage to find out the reason for the difference in speed between the Truggy and the MT? Motor is supposed to be bigger on the truggy (2850 vs 2838) but car is also heavier? Assume you used the same battery in both tests?
yes, same battery. I'm guessing it's geared differently. Although I've since seen someone get 30mph on the Nimh?... so not sure if my ESC needed calibrating or not.
The bigger diameter wheels on the monster truck allow for the higher top speeds. Put the monster truck wheels and tires on the truggy and it'll be just as if not faster.
Hello, Tomley RC, if I wanted to change the wheels on this rc or a 1/14 scale in-general, what size would I look/ask for. Asking as I am somewhat new to the hobby.
I was told by my LBS to not run tires larger than the stock (which are already pretty big!) Anything the same size or smaller should fit since they use standard size hex. I run touring car wheels and this things just grips so much.
It is not so tough, I got mine this week and already broke 2 front steering C-Hubs. (First one was my mistake, but second got broken just doing a turn on flat surface, I was not even jumping or bashing it.)

@@TomleyRC Thanks so much. That is a great run time. Looks like a good buggy.
Nice vid
Thanks dude
woud it perform good at indoor tracks and outdoor 1 / 10 tracks
I would think so yes 👍
@@TomleyRC i gonna try it i have the mt at the moment and the truggy is on his way hehe
3s is ok to use?esc doesn't seem like it would appreciate that
✌🏻😎🏴are you done with wltoys now that you’ve tried this one?
No, still got more stuff to come from the WLtoys. Have both the new ones coming as well
hi tomley, i just bought a lc racing emb-1h which has the same engine as this emb-t, but batteries and chargers are not included in the purchase, could you link me some batteries with that type of plug and a charger? because it is a difficult plug to find on the internet. thank you so much
just bought the rally version ? on basis of this :-) Hope they are similarly well built.
Yes that looks really good!
@@TomleyRC is a shame they cant put window frame decals on straight.
Do you do all filming by just driving one handed and with a phone?
Usually 1 handed with a GoPro.
What 2s are you using? And what 3s is it rated for?
Did you manage to find out the reason for the difference in speed between the Truggy and the MT? Motor is supposed to be bigger on the truggy (2850 vs 2838) but car is also heavier? Assume you used the same battery in both tests?
yes, same battery. I'm guessing it's geared differently. Although I've since seen someone get 30mph on the Nimh?... so not sure if my ESC needed calibrating or not.
The bigger diameter wheels on the monster truck allow for the higher top speeds. Put the monster truck wheels and tires on the truggy and it'll be just as if not faster.
@@drewnewcomb2909 the mt tires are similar size to truggy
@@brandon6984 no they are bigger man, that added diameter makes the difference of 2-3 mph.
@@drewnewcomb2909 What about the size difference of the motor on MT (2838) vs Truggy (2850)? How does that affect top speed?
Lc Racing is doing some great quality kits! I'm planning to get the kit version, did you try by any chance to fit a shorty lipo battery?
I like 1/14 scale. Unfortunately there aren't many trucks.
what connecter does it come with?
Where is that track ?
1st RC, UK buyer mainly intending to run on grass. This or the Team Associated MT 10 on my shortlist. What do you recommend?
MT10 :)
Nice!
About time indeed! What happened to 3s?
Saving that for a speed run on foams ;)
@@TomleyRC does the system support 3S? How’s the radio and servo?
Can anyone let me know if the wltoys 14400 A arms are compatible with this truck
I'm not sure. The new 124019 is very similar to this, so it is possible
Hello, Tomley RC, if I wanted to change the wheels on this rc or a 1/14 scale in-general,
what size would I look/ask for. Asking as I am somewhat new to the hobby.
I was told by my LBS to not run tires larger than the stock (which are already pretty big!) Anything the same size or smaller should fit since they use standard size hex. I run touring car wheels and this things just grips so much.
@@Diamondbac I'll keep that in mind. Thank you.
" METAL " MEANS NOTHING : STEEL OR ALUMINIUM cvd / pinions / gears ?
Dude where is this BMX track!
Lincoln
Looking now at the Banggood and at the specs writes: "(note:the charger is not included)"
Sweet lil’ basher! WL TOYS are underrated don’t you think? The bang for the buck is definitely there. I am definitely enjoying my 024019
looks like it could use a gyro looks more promising than rlaarlo am-x12
How well does the buggy perform in the grass?
Decent ;)
@@TomleyRC which do you prefer more, the buggy or the truck?
Can you get parts for it?
Yes, it's been out for a few years
If it goes 33 on a 2s, its going to be a rocket ship on 3s.
Over 50mph on 3s.....I got Tacon version and it's a little monster
@@ricksprings hello, what LIPO battery and what capacity do you use in the heel value
@@virginiahidalgolinan9692 Gens Ace 2s 2200mah 50c & Gens Ace 3s 2200mah 50c batteries. They're on larger side, but fit fine👍🏾
bout time ! 😂
haha
Cut those plugs and get Dean's on there!!
Cool
Receiver and servo are not waterproof. This is still my favorite basher though.
@NOTREALLY HANKAARON HXT 3.5mm iirc.
@NOTREALLY HANKAARON no.
It is not so tough, I got mine this week and already broke 2 front steering C-Hubs.
(First one was my mistake, but second got broken just doing a turn on flat surface, I was not even jumping or bashing it.)
BS
the original Ni Mh battery is a bit of shit x-)
Great looking truggy. 2s top speed disappointing tho.
Yeah, a little, but plenty of punch. I've geared it up now, so should be a little better
@@TomleyRC great stuff we will all be looking forward to seeing that. Keep up with the great reviews.👍
on a shorter track quickness can beat top speed too tho.
smaller tyres , so I bet it accelerates faster
Great little car, but not partial to the colors.
It reminds me of a water-skiing boat. I actually don't mind it.
I agree. Best 1/14 by far..u get wat u pay for sooooo.....lol
Yep...the quality is awesome!
Dang it’s a bit pricy, for under 100£ I’d deffo get one to beat around.
Look out for black Friday deals. I picked one up in kit form on the 11/11 sale aliexpress. Got it for £102.00. No electronics though, but who needs another transmitter!!!!
Will i go for the Truggy or MT? Torn between the two..hahahaha
Either, but the Truggy gets my vote
Can't understand the batteries, can imagine a fair few folks who buy them for older children are missing out and are none the wiser 🤷
Yeah possibly. Banggood told me the next batch will have Lipos.. so fingers crossed!
Buy this, not Wltoys
Sorry but for this price or less you get an fully tuned and upgraded 144001 with brushless combo by your choice incl. Lipos and much alu parts and so on
You have to upgrade everything on that this is basically one and done. $200 is hard to beat.
Yeah it’s not expensive when you look at the stock equipment
And still after all that it still won't perform as good as an lc ...the wl wl is a tribute band alright but not as good as the real thing!
Let's be real
Stop saying 'lye-po'.....Lithium, geddit?
Well Mr Holt, it's actually 'Lithium-ion Polymer', So the correct term is 'Lye-po'... as the 'i' is for 'ion' and not the 'i' in Lithium 😜
It's a wl toys
A wl toys is a cheap knock-off of this. LC racing are great
Junk!
