Nice tie! Enjoyed the video. I would suggest though on the tail that you don't use tail fibers that are so webby. If you moved up that feather a bit, you might have found some that didn't leave any exposed barbs with webbing past the tie-in. If you use fibers that are too webby for the tail, the tails tends to sink so the fly doesn't float as well as it could for as long as it could. Good to caution about clean hands to keep your white dubbing white. Also, if you don't use white thread, that will change the body color too. That can be a good thing if you're trying to portray a light shade of something. I remember tying that pattern back in about 1976 when I first started tying flies after losing my brother-in-law's Perrine box of flies in a river. Even back then flies were not cheap, plus it motivated me to take up fly-tying. Thanks for the Video! Was nice and clear and easy to see everything you were doing as you did it.
Nice tie. Used to use this fly when I fished in Virginia . Keep it in my old Perrine dry fly box.
