LV Canvas is not dead, it is vintage, it has history, it is durable and classy. ✨💕
I very much dislike it when people say why pay so much and it's not even leather? Just because it's not leather doesn't mean it's not worth it. I think canvas is durable and low maintenance. That is worth it right there. I wouldn't want to pay lots of money for top-notch leather but I can't even wear it without fear of it getting damaged. That to me is not worth the money.
Monogram has a much better resale value as well!
I still love Monogram! I think it's so classic and goes with everything.

Hi girl! I could not agree with you more! I absolutely love LV canvas and I believe that most people prefer the LV canvas pieces over their leather pieces. That is from the standpoint of sales, the leather pieces just don’t sell as much. I’m surprised anyone is saying that canvas is dead. Probably the LV execs trying to start that rumor to try to deter the public haha. From what I can see, canvas is going strong!! Also I totally agree w you that LV canvas is definitely addicting in a way no other brand is. I have many pieces from other brands like Chanel, Gucci, and Saint Laurent. But once I got my first canvas/vachetta bag I was hooked! I had to have every bag style and size in my collection. And don’t even get me started on how addicting the canvas SLGs are!! I am not a big fan of Louis Vuitton, whereas at one point I had over 40 LV bags in my closet (I now have 8-10) I am one of the people who feels the quality is just awful now compared to 15 years ago-the bags, the quality control and the service. That said, I agree with Jerusha that their bread and butter is the canvas bag. LV is a travel brand-that’s their roots… it’s where you go for a durable, packable well-priced (luxury) travel pieces or your every day beat up bag. Yes, they carry more luxury pieces… but I will 100% go to Chanel/Hermes/Dior for my more luxury pieces. Every luxury shopper is unique, and some my adore high high end LV while others may be more into Chanel…. But, you can almost guarantee their tote-the-kid-to-soccer bag is an LV… lol. It’s the ultimate working bag-and like Jerusha said, that’s their bread and butter. That said, I do think quality is not at all what it once was, but a Neverfull will still get you what you need in the working/travel bag dept over most other luxury brands-and at a great price point. I would never spend even $5k+ on an LV bag, but regularly spend double or more than that for Chanel/Hermes/Dior… that’s what’s right for me and that’s the beauty of fashion… it’s personal. So at the end of the day, this is how I feel, but how I feel doesn’t matter… everyone do what is right for you… and spread kindness doing it!

TBH I have been scouting the pre-loved market for an Alma and what I have noticed is the canvas has always stood the test of time better than the epi leather. The Epi leather seems to be cracking faster based on the bags I have seen or maybe it's all about the owner's care routine. Who knows. I would faster buy the canvas Alma that the epi leather simply because you can't even see the LV logo properly on the epi leather. At that point you can just buy a Kate Spade Cedar Street Maise and save some money.

I noticed you were in Chatswood chase 😂 they used to have a Louis Vuitton stall every Christmas there. It’s not there this year 😢. About 20 years ago I found this beautiful trunk which is 200 years old on the side of the road. I took it home, cleaned it up and guess what???? I went to Bunnings with my Louis Vuitton bag and got them to colour match paint for the canvas including the logo. I am in the middle of restoring the trunk. It’s in the brown and gold exactly like my hand bag. I also went to a cobbler and bought some paint in the exact gold colour of the lv logos and using a stencil from Etsy, I started to paint. The 200 year old trunk will be a one off Louis Vuitton trunk. It’s a massive project which I started in 2020 in lockdown here in Gordon. 😂 #louisvuittoncanvasisnotdead 😊
