  • In this video, I show how to remove your fuel injectors. This will apply to most cars, but in this video, I am using a 2013 Subaru Legacy. The Subaru Forester, and Outback will follow the exact same procedure if using the same 2.5i engine. If you have any questions please post in the comments section.

    really nice to make this kind of video about taking care for your Subaru fuel injectors, I really find it a great learning process to "fix-your-own-car" thing to me.

      why not use the fuel pump to drain the tank. un do 2 fuel lines and catch it. jump the fuel pump fuse

    You might want to disconnect the battery when working with open fuel lines. Better yet remove the battery altogether.

      Not necessary if he disconnected the fuel pump fuse. No fuel nearby to catch. Simply disconnected or even covering the battery would suffice

    Got inspired by the video for cleaning my 2010 forester injectors. Nowhere near the one on this video. No room at all on driver side. Many scratches on my knuckles. Could not get the rail out, but removed injectors and cleaned them. After putting them back on upside down while the rail still attached to the hose, driver side had a major leak. Now what? will try to take driver side off again. Hopefully this time I can get the rail out as well.
    SUBARU ENGINE SUCKS especially the driver side....

    • @CoolStuffGuysLike
      @CoolStuffGuysLike  5 місяців тому +1

      Don't replace the fuse until everything is put back together. If you have the fuse in and turn the key on, it will pressurize the fuel system. You don't want that to happen (obviously) when you have the fuel rail disconnected or you will have a fountain.

    Hi, Great video. You state that the Subaru engines are opposed engines. This appears to be a common misconception out in the world. Subaru have never built opposed engines.
    For an engine to be classed as an opposed it needs to have two pistons in the same cylinder.
    Most opposed engines are in trucks or heavy machinery and are mostly two stroke..
    Look up Kommer Knocker on you tube or wiki, there are good explanations and videos..Perhaps this might clear up the misconceptions.
    Porsche, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari Lamborghini and numerous other engines that are flat type of engines are also incorrectly labeled as opposed as well.
    Regards Gary
