How to remove lint and fluff off clothes with a scourer / sponge

Thank you. I had a large fleece blanket I made the mistake of washing with some hand towels and the lint was overwhelming. This method worked fairly quickly given the situation - though it still took some work and patience.

how do you get the lint off the sponge?

After a few minutes you'll find the lint balls up on the sponge and it's very easy to pull it off in bunches.
