Thanks man. Been a professional guitarist for over 36 years. I've been doing this song off and on for a while, always knew something wasn't right. Great job, short and sweet, no fluff. Very much appreciated.
I love this song, haven’t listened to it for many a day. In memory of Chris on his birthday it would be rude to not learn it. I never knew Chris and Stone shared the same birthday. Cheers Ryan
two out of my 5 ish favorite songwriters have the same birthday... what on earth are the odds... (well, i'm sure that can be known, but I hate statistics...)
Out of the many lessons online yours is by far the best and easiest to watch as you learn without having to rewind and replay 10xs. You just have a flow thats not too fast or too slow.
@@RyanLendt Hahah strictly positive vibes from this reformed drummer. 2 years parididdle free by the grace of the guitar gods! Praise be to Hendrix! Amen ps Chris Cornell was reformed drummer as well. It took me 20 plus years more to come around. Lol
Very cool of you Ryan. I love your lessons, you have a great sense of humour and attitude. Love your taste in music as well. I have learned some great songs because of your lessons. I have been so fortunate to have been to many Soundgarden and Pearl Jam shows from the start of there careers to present. Happy birthday Chris! Thank you Ryan! Loud Love!!
@@RyanLendt omg, haha! i have friends who teach at mt. lebo HS. i grew up in ellwood city and live in central valley now. I'm a 44 year old female/2 kids/classically trained pianist/graphic designer and started teaching myself guitar last year. i LOVE you and marty. you've helped me out so much in the past year, you have no idea. it's so fun to learn a grunge song, and then run to my husband to show him "what i did" :) thanks for everything (fellow yinzer) appreciate you.
I love Temple of the Dog, so many great songs that the relevant writer used later with their respective band, awesome. This is definitely one of my favourites, thanks Ryan! I know you have done the piano part but could you do the guitar line for “Times of Trouble” (Footsteps) please?
As a recent subscriber to your channel I'm starting to think you're really into the whole "grunge" Seattle thing and Pearl Jam is your favorite one of the bunch .😂🤣 Oh yeah and Stone Gossard's your favorite guitarist.
hehe. I sent him a doozie of a text birthday card, featuring my family and 9 turtles. bet he's never been wished a happy birthday by 9 turtles before...
Hey man could you do a lesson on how to play something for nothing by rush or ana’s song from silver chair? Both are great songs and I would really appreciate if you could teach both
Ryan Lendt thank you man, I really appreciate it. I looked up how to play anas song and realized I had to scroll down a bit to see your lesson. On my way to watch it now!
I've literally only had one guitar lesson. But I love this song and was just watching some live versions of this and stumbled over this video. Saved for later! Haha. But I learnt 2 whole chords. One was A Minor. When I strummed it, I immediately thought it was the first chord in this song! I was right!! Proud of my little self. 😁
Most Cornell’s songs use Am chord, check out his other songs, unfortunately the f..n F chord is everywhere also as most of his songs are in C major or A minor key, which are the same thing and have the following chords C, Dm, Em, F, G, Am, Bdim
Just found your videos and they're really helping me play some of my favourite songs! Don't suppose you could do one for the acoustic version Chris did of til the sun comes back around? :)
thanks Lucas! Nope, because then I'd have to actually be able to do it. at 1,100 songs over 5 years I don't spend enough time with any one song to get it that far into my bones
Revisiting this video as my wife really wants me to play this. On the original recording, what key were there guitar fills in? I know relative major would be C, but I'm not sure that sounds right. Are they just noodling in A minor pentatonic?
hey ryan. ya know what would really help. if you could actually do the whole lesson in sequence after the tutorial. just sayin. great job bro. love these videos.
Could you please do a guitar lesson on “The Sound Of Winter” by Bush? I would love to learn this and I can’t find any other UA-cam tutorials on it!! Thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was kicking myself because i should have saved this one for my sister's house, where there are 4 dogs, and I could have tried to teach it in a small room with 4 big dogs.
I just saw you had 1 thumbs down. Must be a drummer. Definitely a passive aggresive drummer thing to do. I know this because it takes one to know one. Lol.
