Major difference is who is Jesus? If you're Prophet knows the Bible he would know that Moses wrote about Jesus. John 5:45,46,47. There is no mention of Mohamad in the Bible. And Jesus himself said who Moses was speaking about. You Muslims cannot accept this because it would mean that Mohamad was a false prophet

      This science?
And We have (from of old), adorned the lowest heaven with lamps,
and we have made such (Lamps as) missiles to drive away Satans, ...

We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,
(for beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious Satans.
(So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side.
      -- Sura 37:6-8
See also Suras 15:16-18, 55:33-35 etc. which seem to speak about the same thing. The stars were created by Allah as missiles to throw at the devils? In order to not let them eavesdrop on the heavenly coucil? Not exactly a "scientific" world view.

    HOW CECI IS DISOBEYING ALLAH
You believe Allah is speaking in the Qur'an. Now listen to this Allah that is supposedly speaking in the Qur'an:
“And if thou (Mohammed or other Muslims) art in doubt concerning that which
We (Allah) have revealed unto thee, then ASK those who have read the Scripture (or the Book,
    i.e. the Bible) before thee…” (Quran 10:94).
Why is it that it is people like Ahmed Deedat (who was an Ahamadiyya Muslim) and Shabir Ally that you Ceci are going to to "learn" ?
Your Allah instructs you and Mohammed to go to Christians and Jews to ask anything about God's revelation to mankind, to verify the claims of Mohammed by comparing them with what had earlier revealed and documented.
Those who are asking are not going to the right people. Rather, they go to their Imams, who use their Hadith (Tradition)
to explain the Qur’an. Or sometimes, they use the Qur’an
to explain itself. But that is not what the Qur’an says they should do. It says to ask the Jews and Christians because they have the Scriptures.
If the Bible were corrupted or lost, how would Mohammed be asked to go and consult the Jews and Christians to know more?
Ceci, you cannot know the truth by watching Deedat and Shabir Ally or other Muslim career teachers to learn anything called the truth.
But I think you prefer the euphoria and adverts you enjoy from the You Tube and those who are feeding your fantasy by commending you on your channel.
I advise you that when you are really ready for the truth, go and watch those who are engaging Muslims. Watch people like Christian Prince or call him to ask questions. Watch David Wood and see the debates of DCCI or Jay Smith. Watch Arab Christians who are debunking claims of Mohammed.

I've been watching Christian-Muslim debates and I see how they talk over each other. When in fact they need to understand each other first, before they we can ever try to influence.
Unfortunately, we Christians continue to read our reliogiocentricity about the Bible into the Quran when we debate Muslims.
Unlike Muslims, we don't believe our Bible as sacred text written by God and above criticism.
For instance, the gospel of Luke was written specifically to Theophillus and Paul's epistles were written to specific churches and we can readily ignore, rephrase, interpret or critique them as we like.
Christianity isn’t based on a book. That's why, for instance, we all believe in doctrines such as the Trinity, which isn't found in our Bible at all.
Unfortunately, Christians continue to criticize the Quran, and fail to realize that unlike the Bible, the Quran is a considered by Muslims to be a sacred text written by God for all mankind. Christians can never understand this Muslim mindset unless we're reciting the Quran as God's message for us as well.
Conversely, Muslims continue to read their own reliogiocentricity about the Quran when they talk to Christians about the Bible.
Muslims need to realize that unlike Islam, Christianity isn’t based on the bible at all.
    - [ ] Islam is based on the belief in a book.
    - [ ] Judaism is based on the belief in a book.
    - [ ] Christianity is based on the belief in a person.
As a Muslim and outsider, you can never understand Christianity until you have the belief and relationship with that person.
As a Christian and outsider, you can never understand Islam until you have the belief and relationship with the Quran.
This is what I've learned so far this year. We have to first understand before we criticize and we need to be more tolerant of other.

    • @jeleelabas9594
      @jeleelabas9594 Рік тому +3

If you say Christianity is based not on the Bible but on a person, Jesus, don't you know it is the Bible that gives us who Jesus is? It is what the Bible says about Jesus Christ that makes Christians to believe in Him. In the same vein, Islam is not just about the Quran. Islam is about Mohammed. He is the one that claimed that he received a book from heaven. Islam falls by what it says about Jesus Christ. The Jesus of Islam is fake, and that is what identifies Mohammed for what he is.
I do not criticise Islam as someone who is not familiar with the Quran. I have studied the book from cover to cover for many years - over 37 years. I have also studied several volumes of the Islamic traditions called Hadith. I have read several commentaries of ancient and modern Islamic scholars.
So, when we talk about Islam, we are talking from knowledge of the religion - based on the books of the religion and based on the authentic history of the founder of Islam, Mohammed.
From your comments, it is clear you have little belief in the authority of the Bible. That's OK. You have the right to your opinions.

You see, whether God it s a Trinity or not is not really your problem. Your real problem is your SINS. Your nature of sinfulness. Your guilts that cannot be wiped away by water ablution and daily confessions. Your problem is that Islam has not given you assurance of salvation of your soul. The Quran says as a Muslim, you are heading for Hell fire if you die in Islam (Sura 19:71-72).
These are what should concern you, and not Trinity.
Your prophet says he does not know what will be done to him after death (Surah 46:8-9). It's like saying, "Guys, follow me. But I don't know where we are going and what will happen to me." And millions are following this man without any question.

      @jeleelabas9594 Рік тому +5

@@dr.monoarhossain6586 : ALLAH IS ONE: SO, WHAT?
By repudiating or spurning the concept of Trinity, Muslims seem to present Islam as having a more superior concept of God and so serving the right God.
Maybe I need to draw your attention to a few things about the Islamic Allah.
First, the claim of the "unity" of Allah is nothing. Absolutely nothing.
The claim of monotheism is nothing strange or mysterious. It is only the God that is a Trinity that is the real God.
If you say Allah is one, so what?
What is special about that? Satan is also one. He only has many aliases. If Satan is one and Allah is also one, how does Allah's onenness differ from the onenness of Satan?
I am also one. You are also one. Everybody is one. God has never duplicated anyone. That is the key and basis for the science of biometrics.
Believing in one God does not deliver anyone from sin or guarantee salvation.
Monotheism does not make any religion superior to another. For example, Satan believes in one God. He was in Heaven before. He knew God. He knew God is one. How is the belief of one God in Islam different from the belief in one God by Satan?
It is only the God that is a Trinity that is the true God that transcends the imagination of man. Other gods are imaginary gods created by minds of men. Or demons at best.

Sometimes I feel it's a waste of time responding to Ahmed Deedat. He says Bible "contains the words of God" but not the Word of God because it also contains the words if men, pornography, etc etc.
The reason why I am responding is because of those who think the man is a wonderful scholar.
The first example Deedat gives of the words of God in the Bible is Deuteronomy 18:18 where we read:
"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."
According to Deedat, this is just one one of few words of God in the Bible. That is because he has inherited the ridiculous claim that this verse is a prophecy about the coming of Mohammed. Even though several Bible students have easily disproved this, yet people like Deedat who must keep their career have continued to market the same claim.
Let Deedat first prove to us how he knows that these words are words of God. Who wrote these words down? He had claimed that Moses wasn't the author of the books ascribed to him. Was it God that wrote those words? Or those words descended from heaven in a book on who?

    QURAN FALLACY #3:
In attempts to copy the Bible, the Quran says Mary, the sister of Aaron, is the same person as Mary, the mother of Jesus. (19:27-28; 66:11-12)
Reality: These two women lived 1,570 years apart.
One was Maryam and the other, Mary. The two names are variants, but these individuals are totally different. Whoever wrote the Quran got this wrong.
But what if the person says the book came from heaven or inspired by God? Should we still believe such a claim just because he says he is a prophet?
Did the Quran come from a God who knows history? Or did it come from a man who was illiterate? Answer that from your commonsense.
Maryam the sister of Moses and Aaron has no connection whatsoever with Mary the mother of Jesus Christ and they never lived in the same place or at the same time.
This fact is enough for any Muslim to trash the Quran in his or her mind immediately. But there are two major reasons why a Muslim would see this and still want to continue in the religion.
First, men have appetite for fables and myths. Secondly, most Muslims are bound by morbid fear of leaving Islam even when they are confronted with bare bone facts. They are afraid that other Muslim leaders would kill them. That fear is real in many Islamic countries. Is that not another evidence to show that it is a religion of bondage?

THE STOLLEN REVELATIONS IN THE QURAN
Mohammed told his followers that the Quran came from heaven. It is strange that a modern man can still believe in such a claim.
Many portions of the Quran are
outright plagiarism from other people's works already in circulation before Mohammed started his religion.
interestingly, however, we have a serious challenge concerning the
sacredness and originality of the Qur’an. It says:
“And if you are in doubt as to which We (Allah)
have revealed to Our servant (Muhammad), then
produce a chapter like it, and call on your helper,
besides Allah, if you are truthful.” (Quran 2:23).

Most Arabs were illiterate at that time. Moreover, many of the original works from which Arabs could have discovered the sources of Qur’an material were in foreign
languages. Informed scholars now laugh at such a challenge since clear evidence now exists to establish outright plagiarism in the Qur’an. Let me cite a few of these.
It has been established that verses 1, 29, 31 and 46 of Sura 54 (Surat al-Qamar) were lifted from a poem of a pre-Islamic Arabic poet, Imraul Qais.
The daughter of the poet Imraul Qais’ was still alive when Muhammad started his religion. One day this lady was listening to Muhammad reciting the “revelations” he had just received hot from heaven from his Angel Jubril. She recognized the verses from her father’s poems, and stood aghast and amused, wondering how these could be a revelation written by Allah and preserved in the “Preserved Tablet” in heaven from before the creation of the world!
Another time, this lady met Fatima, Muhammad’s daughter, reciting the first verse of Surat Qamar. Qais’ daughter said:
“Oh that is what your father has taken from my
father’s poems (“Mollaqat”) and calls it something that has come down to him from heaven!”
Stollen revelation! When you use other people's intellectual material and pretend it is original from you, this is called plagiarism. It is a serious academic crime. We have plenty of this in the Qur'an.

QURAN HISTORICAL BLUNDER #2: PHARAOH, HAMAN, CRUCIFIXION.
In his attempt to copy the stories of the Bible, the author of the Quran in Quran 7:114, 124; 12:41 say King Pharaoh threatened to crucify his sorcerers on the cross.
Also the baker in the time of Joseph in Egypt was threatened to be crucified on the cross. Could this be historically correct?
The Reality is that crucifixion was first practiced by the Phoenicians and the Carthaginians and then borrowed extensively by the Romans close to the time of Christ. This was 1,700 years after Pharaoh!
In other words, crucifixion was never used in history until about 1,700 years after the Pharaoh of Joseph’s time.
This shows the writer of the Quran did not know history of crucifixion.
This shows the Quran did not come from any heaven or inspired by any God Almighty.
Does it show the Quran to be anachronistic? Yes.
How can you compare such a book with the Bible?

"A PROPHET FROM AMONG YOUR BRETHREN" - Part 2
In trying to prove the "only words of God" in the Bible, Ahmed Deedat quotes Deuteronomy 18:18 as:
"I WILL RAISE them a prophet from among their brethren"
For him and a few other Muslims who make this claim, this is God talking about the coming of Mohammed.
First, it was not the God of Israel that raised up Mohammed. Mohammed is not a prophet of the God of Israel.
Major proof for that is that the god that was inspiring Mohammed instructed him to hate and to destroy Jews and Christians.
    That Allah of Mohammed says:
"O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as friends, they are but friends to one another. And if any amongst you takes them as (friends), then surely he is one of them. Verily, Allah guides not those people who are unjust.(Sura 5:51 (Hilali and Khan). v, 54 in Yusuf Ali; Suras 2:120; 9:5, 29,123.)
How can this be the same God that spoke through Moses? How can this be a prophet "raised from among you"?
Till today, that spirit in Mohammed still hates Israelites. Yet when Mohammed fled from his own people in Mecca who wanted to kill him, it was Jews and Christians that he went to seek refuge from at Yathrib (Mecca). They hosted him and protected him. But after some time when he began to gather more men around him, he began to attack the Jews and Christians. He said he was receiving revelations from Allah to destroy them. He eliminated one of the three Jewish tribes, and exiled the other two. I am not cooking up stories from Christiam books. It's clearly recorded in the Hadith, second "holy books" of Islam. This is what the earliest major source of the life of Mohammed says:
"In the seventh year of the Hijra (the flight from Mecca), the Apostle rode out with sixteen hundred followers on an expedition against the Jewish tribe of Khaybar, about one hundred miles distant.
"They travelled by a route which would prevent the Khaybar from receiving assistance from their allies, the Ghatafan.
"When the Apostle reached the valley of Khaybar, he halted his companions and prayed to Allah. 'Lord of the heavens and the earth they embrace, Lord of both worlds and all they contain, Lord of the devils and those they pervert, Lord of the winds and all that they scatter! WE ASK THEE FOR THE GOOD OF THIS VILLAGE, the good of its inhabitants, and the good of whatever is in it, ..… Onward, in the name of Allah!'
"The Apostle of Allah would not attack the Khaybar until next morning; if he heard the (Islamic) call to prayers, he would not attack, but if he failed to hear them, he would attack.
'We halted at Khaybar for the night, and the apostle waited and heard no morning call to prayer, so he mounted his horse and we mounted ours. ….
"We met a few laborers going forth early to their work, bearing spades and baskets, and when they beheld the apostle with his army, they cried out and fled. The apostle said "Allah Akbar! Khaybar will be destroyed." '
"The Apostle occupied the Jewish forts one after the other, taking prisoners as he went.
"Among these were Safiya, the wife of Kinana, the Khaybar chief, and two female cousins; the apostle chose Safiya for himself. The other prisoners were distributed among the Muslims."( Ibn Ishaq, Sirat Rasoul Allah: The Earliest Biography of Muhammad, by ibn Ishaq - An abridged version, P.90. darultawhid.com/en)
How could Mohammed be a prophet sent "from among" the Jews and "among the brethren" of Jews? Was he sent as a "prophet" to destroy the Jews?
These were innocent and helpless people who did not offend Mohammed or know of any invasion plan ahead of time. Mohammed pretended he was expecting them to wake up in the morning and pray in an Islamic way even though none of the people in the village was a Muslim. They were still sleeping early in the morning when Mohammed and his team of invaders went on a slaughtering spree. From the prayer of Mohammed in this Hadith quoted above, it is clear that the real purpose of this invasion was to take over the properties of these innocent people. This is exactly what Boko Haram and bandits have been doing to many villages in Nigeria.

Assalaamu aleikum. This is to all my Muslim brothers and sisters here. I've noticed that the same Christians visit Ceci's videos a lot, and every time they show up in the comment sections. Always attacking Islam. I have addressed several of their copy-pasted criticisms and arguments in the past, and provided detailed and elaborate explanations and refutations. I see those same individuals in this comment section, bringing up the exact same points that have already been addressed. I'm sure not just by me myself, but probably by many other Muslims they've encountered in the past. If you post criticisms and arguments and you demand replies, and people then oblige and bother to respond to you, and you then vanish into thin air with nothing left to say; you don't get to show up next week and demand answers for those exact same questions from other random strangers. These individuals are intellectually bankrupt, immoral and insincere. I would strongly recommend all my brothers and sisters to refrain from speaking to these miserable imbeciles. They're not worth it, because they're only here to insult Islam, and they're so pathetic that they provoke on purpose, only to then boast about their online guru, Christian Prince; challenging strangers to go debate CP, as if that clown is some kind of authority. Ahmed Deedat is a great speaker. He would bamboozle many people with his pretentious noise. He has memorized the same things he is saying here and repeated them several times every where he went before his life expired some years ago.
The Question to Deedat here is: "You proved that the Bible is not the Word of God. Why then are you using it to prove the coming of Mohammed?"
The premise of the question is even wrong. Deedat never proved that the Bible is not the Word of God. I watched his messages and his booklet where he tried to prove this. But it was a cheap sophistry, and he knew it.
Ahmed Deedat had claimed in his presentation earlier that the "original Bible" is lost and what we have today is not the original books written by Moses, the Prophets and the Disciples of Jesus. But when he is presented with the evidence of the preservation of the earliest manuscripts of the Gospels and that there are at least 24,000 manuscripts of the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Like and John, Deedat found another way to run away from this fact.
    We hear Deedat here saying:
"You talk about 24,000 manuscripts? I challenge you: there are no two that are identical. So, you have 24,000 different Gospels..."
This is ridiculous and shameful that Deedat would say this kind of thing in public, and so boldly - that the over 24,000 old manuscripts of the Gospels have no two identical copies and that the over 24,000 manuscripts are "24,000 different Gospels." This man is more than ridiculous.
By the way, What makes a man right or a scholar? Is it because he is speaking so courageously and eloquently? This is what is called shameless sophistry. What is sophistry? It means "the use of clever but false arguments, especially with the intention of deceiving." It means "a fallacious argument." Another dictionary says, "Sophistry is reasoning that seems plausible on a superficial level but is actually unsound, or reasoning that is used to deceive."
There is nothing new Deedat is saying here. He had been repeating the same things for many years even though these have been debunked many times. Ahmed Deedat is not a scholar but a sophist.
What is the evidence of Deedat's claim? He has never seen a single copy of the manuscripts he is talking about. But because he speaks so boldly, many of his listeners think he is presenting facts.
Ahmed Deedat knew very well the inherent weakness of his arguments. To cover this up, he has resorts to bold and challenging statements to give the idea that he is coming up with a convincing and unanswerable presentation to his audience.
And those of you who regard him as a scholar are pitiable. He had so much memorized his gambits that he speaks so eloquently you would think he knows what's he's talking about. I am very much familiar with Deedat. I have listened to him several times, and have read all his booklets (since mid 80's). There is nothing he is saying here that he has not said before. The over 24,000 earliest manuscripts of the New Testament are not "24 different Gospels"!!!

What Deedat was actually saying was that the Bible is riddled with four different types of verses: some are directly from God, some are directly from from Jesus, some are historical narrations from the scribes who wrote it and yet some are pornographic additions by remiss individuals. Perhaps Paul. These are all seen and read inside the Bible. The Quran on the other hand is entirely Gods words. The Hadiths are prophet Muhammad sayings but in a separate volume. Then there are historical books that narrate history also separate. Then there is a book called Arabian Nights that contains pornographic material. So the two books are really poles apart. The Bible contains God’s words and words uttered by Jesus. This is correct. But it also contains stories that have no place in a religious book. Look at the story of Rehab or Tamar or Bathsheba or dusty. It’s a story of sexual abuse and incest: daughters sleeping with their father, sisters sleeping with their brothers. For an expose of all these read David Lambs book titled Prostitutes and Polygamists: A Look at Love Old Testament style.

Me thinks the Bible is four books in one. There is the Old Testament. Jews use this bit a lot. There is the New Testament in which both God and Jesus have their direct words. There are copious letters penned by Paul to his followers in Turkey and elsewhere. Then there are pornographic renditions about David and Bathsheba then Tamar and her brother Ammon. There several other scenes recorded in similar fashion pointing to cases of incest rape sodomy fornication hypocrisy and lies etc. I stand to be corrected but this appears to be the flow of the Bible. These four renditions are intertwined. Deedat explained that in this muddle can be found God’s words, Jesus talking and then several addendums that are unsavoury. No one hates Paul here. He admitted his killings of early Christians and to atone it he made a claim that God spoke to him on the road to Damascus. This should have made him a prophet at par with Moses. But somehow he stopped short of that knowing it won’t be believed. I mean if God speaks to you it means you are prophet.

@@Anthony-qi1ig Different Gospel? Whose Gospel? Doesn't Paul explicitely say "my" Gospel? In external writings not included in the Bible, we find early Christians insisting that if any preacher comes to you, you ought to compare his teachings to those of James the Just, and if they differ, then you should dismiss that person. Fact of the matter is: James > Paul. James' status in that early community is right at the top. It's James who becomes the leader of the believers after Jesus. James has authority to write to the heads of the twelve tribes and instruct them what to do and what to believe. So when we read the Epistle of James; even though it's not the original, because the original would've been written in Aramaic; what do we find in that Letter? Is it reflecting Paul's Gospel? I don't think so. In fact, Paul seems to be one of the main reasons for why James is even writing that Letter. What we find is an extremely Islamic teaching, in nature. Not much emphasis on the person of Jesus at all. The "namusa" is mentioned more than Christ, and that means the Sacred Law that they had in their possession (i.e. the Torah and whatever Jesus taught them). Guess what isn't in the Epistle of James? The divinity of Christ. The faux crucifixion. The resurrection. The very doctrine of the cross and how that pertains to salvation. None of that is in James' writings. He is clearly contradicting Paul's message. Paul says that faith (in the death and resurrection of a literal son of God) saves you. James says that the believers must cling to the Laws of God, and keep all commandments. You can't have it both ways. Those who claim to believe and think that suffices, he calls fools, and compares them to demons (even the devils know that God is One, he says). Claiming to be saved because of your supposed faith is utterly rejected. And since James the Just is far superior to Paul (the only reason why your polytheistic predecessors didn't delete the Epistle of James from the NT), then James takes precedence. You don't have the typical Christology from James. You don't have a crucified Christ from James. You don't have the dogmas that you now believe in from James. And how do you resist the satan, according to James? By enslaving yourself to Allah, which is to surrender to His will, and keep His commandments. Isn't that Islam? But you idiots are saying that the Old Testament is barbaric, while your New Testament wouldn't exist without the Tanakh. You're hypocrites. You'll quote this verse from Isaiah and that verse from the Psalms, claiming it's all about Jesus, but then you discard the rest of those books. You're idolworshippers. You claim that a man was God, and that this mangod then died for your sins, and now you're lawless. What does Jesus tell the Christians according to your own Gospels? Depart from me, I never knew you, you who are without law! What Law could that be? Hmm?

When it says we have made the Earth spread out, it just means Allah has given this land to walk in and live etc, and from our point of view, when you go outside you can’t actually see the roundness of the Earth with you eyes. So the Quran doesn’t say the Earth is literally round like how you are claiming.

@@TruthSeeker-xw9zg that doesn’t change anything, if that scholar said the Earth is literally flat, than of course he is wrong, but I think you twisted his words. Allah mentions in the last juz of Quran that we have made the Earth as an expanse. The word for expanse used in Arabic is DAHAHA. And this has multiple meanings in of itself. It can mean expanse but it also means egg shaped. This is amazing because it is so accurate. Because we know that the Earth is not round like a ball but rather geo - spherical. Furthermore, the Quran mentions in Surah Luqman for example that he merged the night into the day and vice versa This suggests a gradual change, and if the Earth was flat the change in daytime to nighttime and vice Versa would not be gradual but immediate. So if we understand the book of Allah correctly than we know that that it suggests that the Earth is spherical and when Allah says he spread the Earth out it means he has given you lots of space of land to go and seek the bounty of Allah etc. it doesn’t mean the Earth is literally round. That’s it. It is really simple, so please I request you stop trying to twist the words of Allah to suit you.

    ALLAH FORBIDS RESEARCH
You may wonder why people like Ahmed Deedat, the hero of Ceci, do not question the claims of the Quran. They find it safer and cheaper to turn to the Bible to be looking for imaginary problems.
First, reason why Muslims do not probe the claims of Mohammed in the Qur'an is because they are afraid. First, once you question the Quran, it means you are claiming that Mohammed is a false prophet. That would incure the wrath of the Muslim world.
Second fear is that Allah has warned that you must not question whatever you read in the Qur'an or whatever Mohammed claims - whether you know it is false or not. It says:
“O ye who believe (in Islam): Ask not questions about things, which if made plain to you, may cause you trouble” (Sura 5:101).
Do we need a chief Imam or those who say they are Islamic scholars to tell us the meaning of this verse above?
What Muhammad is quoting Allah as saying here is that asking of cogent and critical questions about Islam, Allah, Quran, and Muhammad’s prophet-hood is forbidden.
The reason for this warning is immediately given: such questions “may cause you trouble”.
But this warning itself is what is causing trouble and why many Muslims are leaving Islam in droves. This is what should arouse your curiosity to go into long meditation. How can we know if Islam is the true religion when the Quran says I am not allowed to ask pertinent questions on the validity of its claims and its prophets?
The Prophet probably envisaged that, as a Muslim, I may come to a point in my life when some critical issues will begin to bog my mind about Islam. This is so, especially, if I move with intelligent men and women. This verse of the Quran says I must not do any research to find out the answers to such questions and issues. It says my findings may cause me trouble. In other words, I could discover some things that are capable of disorganizing my life and affect my continued belief in the religion - its Allah, its books and its 'prophet'.
A Muslim must come to a point and a period in his life that he has to question whatever he has believed from childhood. Every man or woman comes to this point. Those who are afraid to come to such a point remain in darkness and ignorance for the rest of their life.
Islam does not permit the freedom to express my doubts and concerns on a religion that has claimed my respect and love and that of billions of men and women in history.
“If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.” ~ George Washington

This verse reminds Muslims that many questions about matters of religious law as they did, have happened to previous nations, but after they were given answers and explanations, they did not want to implement them, even they turned their backs on them, because they think it's too heavy. Then they deny the laws, or they say that the laws do not come from Allah.
Furthermore, this verse explains that if they ask something that was not clear to the Prophet when the verse related to the matter was revealed, and the question really needs to be answered in order to understand the content and intent of the verse, then Allah allows it.
"We did not send ˹messengers˺ before you ˹O Prophet˺ except mere men inspired by Us. If you ˹polytheists˺ do not know ˹this already˺, then ask those who have knowledge ˹of the Scriptures˺." (16:43)
The end of this verse emphasizes not to ask the Prophet questions that are testing or mocking, but purely seeking knowledge. Even today many of us ask someone in a cynical tone because we hate that person and just want to make fun of him.

They all have the internet to see all the translations of this verse.
It is useless thinking that the Quran is so special that it cannot be accurately translated. Such book has no place in this generation.
In that verse, Mohammed says it is only when he is receiving revelations that people can ask questions. But unfortunately, nobody was around most of the times he claimed that angel Jubril brought a revelation.
When he was in the house of Zaid his adopted son in the man's absence and saw his wife half clad and was attracted to her body and received a "revelation" to take over the young man's wife, could anybody have asked him a question?
In fact, when people started to question this "revelation" later, his Allah simply gave the answer in another revelation by issueing a warning on
      anybody's reaction to this matter:
"....It is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been
decided by Allah and His Messenger to have any option about their
decision: if any one disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he is indeed
on a clearly wrong path."(Surah Sura 33:36 (Yusuf Ali). See Sahih Al-Bukhari, Hadith No. 384, Vol. 9.)
It is the same: "No Questioning"
If the prophet sees your wife and develops interest in her and received revelation from his Allah to take her, no questioning. No option for that believer. That is the clear meaning of the verse. No one needs to go to maddrassa to go and learn Arabic to understand that.
Did Muhammad actually have such a revelation? Muslims say, yes. Was
it from Allah? They say, yes. One wonders then who this Allah is that makes
such a commandment and "turneth the hearts of men" to do such a thing.
Dear Muktar, you can go ahead and continue to defend this book as made-in-heaven. That's OK. But I don't think anyone has the right to remain ignorant in this generation. In your case, I think it is voluntary ignorance. But I can understand you. First, you don't want to believe you could have been wrong all these years. Also, you cannot stand the hatred and persecution you would face from Islamic leaders if you decide to declare that you have found the truth and are departing from Islam. If you leave in certain Islamic areas, you may lose your life. That's the truth you don't need to deny because we all know it is true. I pray God will open your inner eyes.

Hashim has strong points, because many Christians don't understand the word of God clear enough to answer those questions. If a person does not take
the Holy Bible as the Word of God, then anything can be said against the Holy Bible. Here, Hashim is making statements with his own understanding.
His reasoning is very good, but his understanding of The God of Israel is not clear for him. I trust that he means well as I trust these Christians
also mean well. I will answer his Eternity question: If God is eternal, then he cannot die and resurrect; otherwise, he is not God. If Jesus died
and resurrected, then he cannot be God.
My Answer: When Jesus of Nazareth said that he came not to destroy, but to fulfil The Law and The Prophets - that is what he meant. In The Law,
The Torah, Moses foretold of a Prophet the The Lord was going to raise up (Deuteronomy 18:15-19) - and that prophet would speak the words that God
would put in his mouth. He will speak all that God would command him. - As The Prophet, Jesus of Nazareth was telling the Jewish leaders that he
was that Prophet that Moses spoke of - he then told them, if they did not believe in Moses, then how could they believe in HIM, because Moses did
speak of him (John 5:39-47; 7:15,16). In the book of Acts 3:22-23 the Apostle Peter confirms that Jesus of Nazareth is/was that Prophet foretold
by Moses. The Evangelist Stephen also confirms that Jesus of Nazareth was/is that Prophet foretold by Moses (Acts 7:37). [Moses was about 14-15
Centuries before the birth of Christ Jesus]
According to the Prophet Isaiah, there was going to be a Righteous Servant of The Lord that would die for the people. This Righteous Servant was
going to be acquainted with grief, and was going to be a man of sorrows. He was going to be wounded for the transgressions of THE PEOPLE, and he
was going to bruised for the iniquities of THE PEOPLE; and this SERVANT was going to receive stripes that would ultimately be for the healing of
THE PEOPLE. The chastisement of THE PEOPLE was going to be upon HIM. He would ultimately be cut off out of the land of the living for the benefit
of THE PEOPLE. (Isaiah 52:13-15, 53:1-12). As the Righteous Servant, he would take the place of the sin (via punishment of death) of THE PEOPLE.
[Isaiah was about 7-8 Centuries before the birth of Christ Jesus]. So the Righteous Servant spoken of by the Prophet Isaiah is the same Jesus of
Nazareth. The Apostle Paul (Saul of Tarsus) confirmed it in the Epistle to the Philippians 2:5-12. ---- I will stop here, but there is much more!

    STOLLEN REVELATION #2
The story of Abraham, as recorded in Sura 37:83-99, is not found in the Bible. This story was actually lifted from a Jewish collection of folktales titled, Midrash Rabbah.
This book was in circulation 400 years before the Qur’an was written. Since most Arabs were illiterate at that time and the book was not in wide circulation in Mecca or in
the Arabic language, the authors of the Qur’an did not know that this plagiarism would be discovered.
The Bible records that the Lord Jesus was born in a manger. The Qur’an says He was born under a palm tree.
Sura 19:29-30 speaks of a one-day-old baby Jesus speaking in the cradle. These errors did not originate in the Qur’an. They were lifted from an Arabic apocryphal fable written in Egypt titled "First Gospel of the Infancy of Jesus
    Christ." The original fable says:
“... Jesus spake even when he was in the cradle, and said: ‘Mary, I am Jesus the son of God. That
word which thou didst bring forth according to
    the declaration of the angel…’”
In the Qur’an, however, the expression “son of God” was changed to “slave (or servant) of God.” This was because Mohammed had a special hatred and jealousy of knowing Jesus as the Son of God.
There is also the story of a young Jesus making a live bird out of clay. There is no biblical basis for such a story. But this story is found to have been culled from the anthology of fables called ‘Gospel of Infancy” referred to above. Several of such stories abound.

Now, let's see what "Allah" says about who started Islam and became the first Muslim ever:
According to several passages in the Quran, Muhammad was the first Muslim:
"Say: Shall I choose for a protecting friend other than Allah, the Originator of the heavens and the earth, Who feedeth and is never fed? Say: I am ordered to be the first to surrender [aslama] (unto Him). And be not thou (O Muhammad) of the idolaters. S. 6:14 Pickthall).
"Say, verily my Lord hath directed me into a right way, a true religion, the sect of Abraham the orthodox; and he was no idolater. Say, verily my prayers, and my worship, and my life, and my death are dedicated unto God, the Lord of all creatures: He hath no companion. This have I been commanded: I am the first Moslem (Wa 'Ana 'Awwalu Al-Muslimin). S. 6:161-163 Sale)
Here Mohammed says "I am.the first Moslem", even though he pretended that Abraham had a sect of those who did not worship idols.
"He hath no associate. This am I commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims. S. 6:163 Rodwell)
Say (O Muhammad): Lo! I am commanded to worship Allah, making religion pure for Him (only). And I am commanded to be the first of those who are muslims (surrender unto Him). S. 39:11-12 Pickthall
So, who was the first Muslim? Who started Islam?
It was when Mohammed got into.the midst of Jews and learnt about their religion that he began to claim that Abraham was also a Muslim and that Islam started from Adam, etc.
In his attempts to deceive, he contradicted himself.
At a point, Muslims now came to a narrative that every human being is born a Muslim!

@@ubuntuafrique5802 In a way, I think I would agree with you that indeed Islam did not start with Mohammed. The reason is because there is nothing Islam is practising that was not part of the idolatry of the Arabs before Mohammed was born.
For example, Mohammed says in the Qur'an, "I have been commanded to worship the god of this city (Mecca)..."(Surah 27:91).
So, Allah, was and still is, the "god of this city". He was never a universal God Almighty. He was the territorial idol of Mecca which Meccans were worshipping before Mohammed was born. Mohammed's father was called Abdullah, which means slave or servant of Allah. So, it means Mohammed's father was already a worshipper of the idol called Allah before Mohammed was born.
Secondly, the worship and veneration of the Kaaba shrine was already being done by idolaters of Mecca before Mohammed was born.
The running around Kaaba, the throwing of stones at "Satan", the pilgrimage to the shrine, and all the rituals Muslims do during pilgrimage were all being done before Mohammed was born.

Yes you are right. Bible is indeed a multitude of books. Written by different authors living in different eras over several centuries. How can such a book be devoid of errors??? Practically impossible. It is bound to have all manner of stories and contradictions. Deedat pointed out the muddle we see in the book of books. In addition to all we read the stories of rape incest sexual abuse extra judicial killings and all these points to diluted authorship. Meaning God and other mortals. What is the purpose of having these gory stories in a book of God???How would children react if they read such stories?? Someone wrote a book titled God and Prophets of God behaving badly and he is not off the mark if you read the Bible. Look at David and Bathsheba then his two sons and the daughter Tamar. Look at the story of Rahab. And all said to be in the lineage of Jesus. According to the Bible. The Quran and the Bible are both supposed to be religious books inspired by God to teach mankind piety worship and good behaviour. The difference between the two is however clear. The Quran was memorised by thousands and 20 years after the Prophet it was written down. Millions have committed the Quran into memory today so the prospect of adding or subtracting a single verse is practically zero. It was also zero during the life of the prophet. As a student of comparative religion these are the issues am interested in. Factual issues. Not lies. It is true I have never handled the Bible but have read widely on Christian history books from Jesus days in Galilee to date. Perhaps the Bible is my last frontier. Problem is which Bible to read?? But really which Bible exactly do I read??? Catholic with the highest number of books?? Or the Anglican version issued by the King?? Or that of the Lutherans??? Or Presbyterian??? Or Jehovah witnesses version ?? Or that of those now in Salt Lake City, Utah, called Mormons??? Which one would you recommend if I ask you or any Christian for that matter??? Please tell me.

"A PROPHET FROM AMONG YOUR BRETHREN"
Deedat is speaking here as if he is the originator of this deception. He is only repeating what many Muslim teachers had claimed for years and never able to defend.
Why did Deedat pick only verse 18 of that chapter of Deuteronomy?
That was the convenient way of deceiving those who don't have the Bible and won't make any effort to check. Such people pretend to be experts of the Bible but discourage their disciples from reading the book for themselves because they know their pupils will discover their deceptions.
Let me quote a few verses before that verse 18 that Deedat is presented as speaking about Mohammed:
    "Deuteronomy 18:15-22
    15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
(Here Moses was reporting what God told him to say to his people Israelites while they were in the wilderness coming from Egypt and moving towards the Promised Land. The word LORD there is YAWEH. God identified Himself as different from what other people regarded as god. He is not the Al Lah of Arabia.
Here God says specifically He was raising a prophet "unto THEE". That is unto Israel. Was Mohammed raised as a prophet unto the Israelites?
Then God said, the prophet would come "FROM THE MIDST OF THEE".
What is the simple meaning of that?
How can Deedat or any Muslim claim that this was talking about a prophet in Arabia? That is why Deedat decided not to quote the chapter from verse 15, but picked only verse 18 where he feels it is easy for him to deceive. Is that scholarship?)
16 According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
17 And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
(So, when God said he would raise the prophet "from among their brethren", God was simply repeating what He said in verse 15, "FROM AMONG YOU".
Going to Arabia to be looking for such a prophet is just a joke. It is a cheap attempt to find legitimacy for the claims of Mohammed.
Muslims find it easy to say the Bible is not the word of God, but when it comes to finding legitimacy for their prophet, they go to the Bible to look for "Mohammed" there. This is pitiable.))
19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?
22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him."
(This verses alone disprove the claims of Mohammed being the prophet of Deuteronomy. Let a Muslim point to any single prophecy in the Qur'an that Mohammed gave that came to pass.)
Mohammed is not "FROM THE MIDST OF THEE". And he is not "among their brethren".
    ARE ARABS FROM ISHMAEL?
It is because of this cheap attempt to look for legitimacy that Muslims claim that Arabs are descendants of Ishmael. That is a historical fallacy that has taken roots. Abraham the father of Ishmael was not an Arab man. Hagar was a native Egyptian, an African, and not an Arab woman. So, At the time Ishmael was born, there were already Arabians. The Bible differentiates between Arabians and Ishmaelites. So, the claim of Arabs being descendants of Ishmael is false. It was based on this false assumption that Deedat built his Deuteronomy 18 theory. That argument falls to the ground.

Islamic Prophet Mohammed studied all these Jewish Laws (Old Testaments) and studied the Gospel (New Testaments) of Jesus Christ.....
Then Mohammed adopted the book of LEVITICUS, NUMBERS and DEUTERONOMY of Jewish Law for his Holy Book Quran....
Then Mohammed added with that his observations about God and the customs of Arab Tribes in to Quran....
Then Mohammed claimed that, his Holy Book Quran sent to him by his God Allah in the month of Ramadan....
Jews and Christians know that, Quran is a copy of above three books of Jewish law, which was given by Prophet Moses around 4,500 years to Jews.....

    *REVELATION OF THE KORAN*
*Q. Did Allah reveal the Koran directly to prophet Muhammad?*
Ans. No, the Koran was revealed to prophet Muhammad by angel Gabriel when he was in a cave on Mount Hira.
*Q. Did anyone else see this Angel Gabriel? Any witnesses?*
Ans. No, no one else has seen the angel. (Testimony without witnesses is subject to doubt especially when there are reasons for the same.)
*Q. What did the Angel say in the very first meeting?*
Ans. The Angel said, "Read!" but Muhammad didn't know to read or write.
When he said this to the Angel it came upon him heavily - physically! This happened two more times. Then the Angel commanded him to recite Koran 96: 1 to 5.
*Q. What happened after this experience?*
Mohammad was terrified and perplexed. A great fear overcame him and he went home shivering, so much so that his wife Khadijah had to cover him with a blanket.
When Mohammad told her what had happened she contacted her cousin Waraqah ibn Nawfal. They were very close and Khadijah confided in her.
👉 *Waraqah was a Christian so when she heard about what had happened to Mohammad she presumed that the angelic being could be the Angel Gabriel she had read about in the Bible. So she advised Mohammad not to fear as he could be the messanger or prophet of God*.
*However, if you examine the account of the encounter of Mary the mother of Jesus with the Angel Gabriel and Mohammed 's encounter you will see the difference.*
Mary was a very young woman at the time of her meeting with Angel Gabriel. She was not a physically well built, strong, courageous & mature man like Muhammad...yet she was not frightened, terrified or perplexed after the encounter with Angel Gabriel. Moreover, the Angel Gabriel introduced himself and didn't frighten her in any way.
In Mohammad 's case the angel didn't introduce himself, used physical force on him thrice and commanded him to read something that Mohammad an unlettered person could not do.... the incident terrified him so much that he got a fever and started shivering that he had to be covered with a blanket. (If the angel was from God do you think he ask someone who could not read or write "to read" ?? Surely he would have known that Mohammad couldn't read or write!)
*_This raises serious doubts about the very source of the revelation that Mohammad received and the nature of the revelation._*
*Q. Did prophet Muhammad write the Koran?*
Ans. No, during the 23 years of Mohammad's time as a prophet it was memorized and handed down. Later it was written on leather, cloth, palm leaves, parchment etc. The prophet died in 632AD. It was only around 650AD, long after his death, that it was complied in book form.
The Koran is a randomly arranged text that is not compiled chronologically and this makes it difficult to comprehend.
*Very strangely Surah 10:94 of the Koran tells the readers to consult or refer to the Bible to clear their doubts !!*

@resul Hrustanovic The psalm's, Torah and injil that Allah and Muhammad validated are the same ones that they are using today, and have been using since hundreds of years before Muhammad's time. That's a huge problem for Islam. An even bigger problem, portions of that very same Bible that Muslims call corrupted have been copied into the Quran.🤔

    • @LAGamer71
      @LAGamer71 Рік тому +3

@resul Hrustanovic The Quran makes the following statements about the Injil:
And in their footsteps, We sent 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) confirming the Taurat (Torah) that had come before him, and We gave him the Injeel (Gospel), in which was guidance and light and confirmation of the Taurat (Torah) that had come before it, a guidance and an admonition for Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V.2:2). S. 5:46 Al-Hilali & Khan; cf. S. 57:27
He [Jesus] said, "Lo, I am God's servant; God has given me the Book, and made me a Prophet." S. 19:30 Arberry
It is He Who has sent down the Book (the Qur'an) to you (Muhammad SAW) with truth, confirming what came before it. And he sent down the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel). S. 3:3 Al-Hilali & Khan
Sura 5:46 states that the Injil was given to Jesus by Allah. Sura 19:30 and 3:3 then clarify that the Injil is a book just as the Qur'an and the Torah are books that were sent down by Allah.
The Qur'an also contains a second set of statements regarding the Injil:
Let the people of the Injeel (Gospel) judge by what Allah has revealed therein. ... S. 5:47 Al-Hilali & Khan
Say: "People of the Book, you do not stand on anything, until you perform the Torah and the Gospel [Injil], and what was sent down to you from your Lord." ... S. 5:68 Arberry
Those who follow the messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write, whom they will find described in the Torah and the Gospel [Injil] (which are) with them. S. 7:157 Pickthall
[Say (O Muhammad SAW)] "Shall I seek a judge other than Allah while it is He Who has sent down unto you the Book (The Qur'an), explained in detail." Those unto whom We gave the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] know that it is revealed from your Lord in truth. So be not you of those who doubt. S. 6:114 Al-Hilali & Khan
These verses make clear that the Injil is the book of the Christians, the book that is with them and which they believe in. The author of the Qur'an even admonishes the Christians to fully obey (the Torah and) the Injil that they have.
      The Contradiction
However, here is the problem: when we look at the New Testament, the book which is the Scripture of the Christians, we see that it nowhere makes the claim that it is a book that was "given to Jesus". On the contrary, the New Testament consists of several books that were written by followers of Jesus (under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit) AFTER the ascension of Jesus.
Therefore, the Injil can EITHER be a book given to Jesus, OR it can be the book that the Christians hold as they Holy Scriptures, but it cannot be both. Muhammad apparently assumed that the Scripture of the Christians (and Jews) would be very similar to the Qur'an, the book which he thought he received from Allah. However, Muhammad was clearly ignorant of the matter. The essential nature of the Qur'an and the Bible are very different. A book "given to Jesus" in a similar way as Muhammad claims to have received the Qur'an does not exist and Christians have never claimed that such a book existed at any time. This claim of S. 5:46 is merely a wrong idea that sprang from the mind of Muhammad.
Had the author of the Qur'an made only statements like those found in S. 5:46 and 19:30, it might have been an option for Muslims to claim that the Injil of Jesus was simply lost. Jesus indeed received such a book but, somehow, it disappeared. Muslims could have said that the NT clearly is something very different from the Injil as defined by the Qur'an, and could have concluded that therefore they do not believe in the Christian New Testament since the Qur'an does not endorse it.
However, the second set of statements above prevents this explanation. The Qur'an identifies the Injil as the Scripture of the Christians. Thus, since the Injil is the book of the Christians, the Qur'an makes a blatantly wrong claim about the basic nature of the Injil. It neither is nor ever was a book given to Jesus.

    • @LAGamer71
      @LAGamer71 Рік тому +3

@resul Hrustanovic You are failing to see the contradiction. How could this error arise in the mind of Muhammad? He may have heard statements like in the first verse of the Gospel according to Mark:
The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, ...
and mistakenly thought that this meant the same as "the Torah of Moses" i.e. a revelation given to a prophet in form of a book. However, reading the context shows that it means "this is the beginning of the Gospel ABOUT Jesus Christ"; the Gospel is the message telling us about the life and teaching of Jesus, written up by his followers, not a book given to Jesus himself.
Muhammad projected his own experience of receiving revelation of a book (the Qur'an) on Jesus and simply assumed that the book OF Jesus that was held sacred by his followers must also have been a book given TO Jesus (like the sacred book of the Muslims is the book given TO Muhammad). However, Muhammad was wrong about this, and this mistake exposes the Qur'an as a forgery. The Qur'an is not divine revelation but a collection of mistaken assumptions by its author.

Why don't YOU scrutinize Islam YOURSELF ?? Why need Christian Prince ? No CP , YOU cannot do it on your own ? CP has been challenge AND also HE himself has challenge others - ( Muslims I mean , of cos' ) . Sometimes he wins , at others , he loses .
Forget CP bruh ! - I believe YOU can do it ! Scrutinize Islam , do your research with an open , honest and sincere heart to seek the Truth and God willing , you will find it !!
    All the best !

Thank you dear sister for sharing with others your journey to the truth. May Allah be with you and reward you.
For me the first main difference is about the name Bible itself. That name is not from God and it means "set of books". The actual name of the scriptures revealed to Jesus (pbuh) is Gospel (Injeel in Arabic)

This reasoning is, to say the least, childish. If the word "Bible" means "books", how does that prove or disprove the authority of the book?
How does the word "Qur'an" prove that the book came from heaven?

Ibikunle, where is the Injeel you are talking about? You don't remember that Mohammed was illiterate. He could not differentiate any book content from the other. Yet he is the one you are believing that he has the truth.
When he started his religion, he said he came to confirm the same things that the prophets of Israel taught. When Jews and Christians began to point out to him that many of the things he was teaching as "revelations" were not correct and in variance with the earlier books of the Bible, he began to attack them by killing them, regarding them as enemies of his religion.

    • @jeleelabas9594
      @jeleelabas9594 Рік тому

Ibikunle, please, note that Muslim writers and preachers are confused. Allah is supposedly talking to Mohammed to COPY the books of Jews and Christians which constitute the Bible.
“Copy the guidance they (the Jews and Christians) received” (Surah 6.90, Ali).
      Did Mohammed copy these books?
If some Muslims say he did not copy from those books, then Mohammed disobeyed Allah.
But if he copied from them, why do some if these Muslims claim that the Bible is not the word of God? Or why do they claim that the "original"Bible is lost or changed?
Why would Allah command that Mohammed should copy from a corrupted book or a book already lost?
Why should God give a book and slow it to be lost? Why did it get lost? Was it before Mohammed started Islam or after Islam started?
Such claims are too cheap and shows intellectual laziness.

Ofc, one is TRUE, the other FALSE.
But, let's talk about SIMILARITIES first: both have the same theological framework, with an emphasis on prayer, and similar moral underpinnings, but the way to achieve these are completely different.
    DIFFERENCES, just a few points:
[1 a.] The Bible was written primarily in Hebrew for what would be considered the Old Testament Scriptures, and Greek for the New Testament, because Greek was the spoken language of its day. The Quran is in Arabic.
[1 b.] Most, if not all, of the Biblical prophets were Jews/Hebrews.
The prophet of Islam is Arabic.
[1 c.] The Bible has many different authors. In the Old, contained within them all the prophets were pointing towards a Messiah. In the New, Jesus appears and fulfills the Old.
    The Quran is one source.
[2] Contains different Gods. In the Old, He is the LORD, the God of Israel, the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob.
In the Quran, he is called Allah.
[3] Most of the writings of the prophets were direct revelations from God. Many of them have either seen God face-to-face or in a vision.
The Quran was revealed, according to hadiths, by an angel.
[4 a.] The Bible has many literary styles, but is largely *historical* in nature. It gives names of people who lived, tells us of things happening and of things to come, describes events with a reference to dates, cites landmarks or places which we can find on the map, all culminating in the biography of Christ, who is now the focal point, of even how we read our time.
The Quran reads more like a religious book, in an in-your-face, do-this-or-get-this kinda dictation format - like a sermon.
[4 b.] The Old Testament is also written about the Hebrews. It lays the groundwork for Israel as a people and a nation - a people chosen and a nation called out. It traces and documents the stories of its people - their origins, ancestries, journies to/within/out of the Promised Land. It contains the writings of the prophets, kings, other godly men whom God used as recorders to write history, about men and women of their faith, as lessons to be learnt.
The Quran contains little to no information regarding Arabia or the Arabian peoples.
[4 c.] The New Testament tells us about Jesus: what he said, what he taught, and most importantly, what he did - in relation to what was prophesied in the past, to reconcile them to what is happening in the present, and to warn them of what's to come in the future.
The Quran doesn't tell us much about Muhammad (the hadiths do), but does rehash some stories of the prophets in the Bible. It does point to a certain event in the future - Judgment Day, which it oft repeats, an Hour, or a day that is 50,000 days in length.
[5] The are a lot more differences - like the actual content of both books, and maybe a few more similarities, like Jewish prophets popping up in the Qu'ran.
    But in CONCLUSION:
[In Islam, you are once again made to be put under the law (sharia law) and become slaves of God.
In the New Testament, God forgives our sins and sets us free, adopts us as children, and translates us into the Kingdom of His Son.]

Just wanted to add something I thought of in the shower.
Point on 1b. There's really, and technically, only ONE prophet in Islam.
If the Qu'ran needed to add prophets from the Bible to get some credence (as a religion), wouldn't it then be appropriate that we treated The Bible as the more legal source of information?

To be honest with you, Mr. Deedat is a great debator and orator in that he speaks with charisma and authority and sounds very convincing, however, when you evaluate seriously his arguments, you realize alot of his arguments against the Bible and Christianity are refutable and also that if he were to employ the same standard on his own book (which he doesn't), it would not bear the weight of his own scrutiny. Unfortunately a new generation of millions of Muslims have studied his questions and repeat them in discussions with Christians as well as his answers. I know this from experience and hundreds of discussions both online and in person with Muslims over 15 years. It is refreshing when I meet those with original questions or original thoughts for or against my belief because I love open dialogue, I just don't like it when i can't seem to get past the surface.

According to Islam's own sources, the Quran is not preserved. Ibn Umar al-Khattab explicitly admits. "Let not one of you say that he has acquired the entire Quran for how does he know that he has it all? Much of the Quran has been lost. Thus let him say, I have acquired of it what I have available."
