I can cornrow and I still love this idea. Doing a head full individual's and braiding them seems less complicated than mapping out different braiding styles for one crochet style. Plus I have the added benefit of not having to take my hair completely down in order to wash after the crochets(I redue each month-I can just throw another style in lol).
I’m not a braider and always struggle to do braids that last for my daughters crochet!!! This is perfect, not too much hair either!!

Finally, a crochet technique my non-knowing how to cornrow self thinks I can actually do!!!! And the end result looks good. I just might go to hair store today.

The time it would take me to braid those plats all the way down is the same time it would take me to simply install individual passion twists 😂 still seems more protective for the hairline than regular cornrows though and looks really nice.
I wonder if doing it this way will make the hair style last longer. Usually it last 3 weeks max. Hoping I could maybe get it’s to last 6 weeks this way

I now wear this under my clip in hair extensions and this is an absolitely game changer and money saver!!!

I just wish these types of braids were available in salt and pepper gray for us older ladies who want to rock their natural gray hair.

Happy I watched your video. I can't french braid but can plat my hair and just put in some individual crochet twist in with the tuck method. I will do this for regular crochet and I'm ready for some short twist and wasn't sure how to put in because my her is longer than the hair. This is everything. Thank you!! Thank you for this plait/braid pattern! I started wearing crochet braids about 6 weeks ago. I’ve had to redo my hair 3X because my naturally fine thin slick hair (idk if it’s 3A 4A or whatever) would not stay in the crochet hair using the rubber band method nor the cornrow method. I’m going to try this today hopefully it’s a winner.

So I went ahead and did my twist today so that I could have the video already up before I left for vacation... I did do mines a bit shorter and I had to add a POP of color. Can I say that I’ve been watching a lot of braiding videos and nothing seem to seem good for me since I have thin hair (especially the edges)....UNTIL NOW. I been natural for about 5+ years, but perms and wearing my natural hair in ponytails for work made my edges start thin. Thank you so much for this video! I can’t wait to have this done! I LOVE this braiding pattern technique! I have issues keeping my hair intact when I wash my hair. My hair relaxes and frizzes when wet and makes the crochet hair slip a little. The rubber band method also slipped. My hair also unravels out of the twist to do it's own thing. This technique will help keep my hair out of the way altogether and keep my hair intact for the beach and pool on my cruise. I can't wait to try it. So far on my first try I have had my passions twists in for 4 weeks with little tweak touchups here and there. The problem was with MY HAIR and not the bohemian hair but with this technique it will last FOREVER!!! LOL I'll be swinging my hair with you girl!!! I'm gonna rock this hair straight into fall!
