This was first broadcast in April and May of 1984. I heard it first time round and have heard it many times since, usually when I'm decorating. Still great.
Thank you Marty for putting the info up as I'm interested in the date of airing etc. I've never heard of this before. I wud have been 16 at the time of airing and we esp my folks are still Radio 4 heads The Archers and do u remember Brian Redhead, going to school his voice was so distinct anyway thank you for the much appreciated info Marty and the memories you unintentionally flushed out.Are these the same stories used in Journey into Space from the 1950's? They sounded so familiar as I've recently listened to them on UA-cam maybe on this channel?
They are the same episodes given a 1984 revamp but still good, if u haven't heard the original series give them a listen they're brilliant u won't be disappointed.
@@SimonMcGrath-o8jk Thank you for making a comment. I was just turning 26 when I first heard this series and away on a course. The original 'Journey into Space' series were terrific. I hope you listen to them. They are different in that they are very British. They are certainly a great adventure.
@MartysWhiteSuit I'm listening to the Journey to Mars as we speak funnily enough and they've been packaged into one episode which is an added bonus. Lemmy is a whining ninny but I love his character. I'm enjoying Space Force and like Journey it's in one continuous episode, I personally prefer it like that. Speak again and 'keep on listening'
THANKS FOR PROVIDING THE INTERESTING BACKGROUNDS TO THESE GREAT STORIES

@@SimonMcGrath-o8jk I don't remember Brian Redhead. I've heard the name, but that's all.

More than a slight hint of snarky feminist overtones in this drama... LOL
Glad you are laughing - does this mean you accept equality.
