      @@b3n751you can say whatever you want, but its still stupid as hell, because reeves still got penalized and suspended, setting the precedent that charging, hit to the heads are a 5 game suspension, and a match penalty. So here is a charging, hit to the head. Both hits were on a player that had there had down, and could have done things to better prepare themselves for a hit to make it legal, but didn't resulting in the hit being to the head. Sooooo, since the situations are so similar, clearly the nhl will follow its precede---. Wait, hold on, your telling me there's no penalty on the call? And now the leafs are on the kill? Like others have said, its a fuckin joke that one of these can be called so severely while the other gets nothing, if reeves got nothing you wouldn't hear complaints from me at least, and probably not from most fans.

      If this hit was on reaves instead of knies, none of you would be crying foul. It’s a clean hit and a learning opportunity for knies. It’s been so long since kronwall retired, everyone crying about it just doesn’t remember that these hits existed

    • @jeffreycairns767
      @jeffreycairns767 День тому +2

      @CodyMah The question is, if this hit was done by Reaves on any player, how many would be crying, especially if it went unpunished. These hits DID exist but the league has moved away from them. You can't say it's OK when certain players or teams do it but not others. It's either all or nothing and as much as I miss these kinds of hit, today's league hasn't allowed it, unless it's for or against certain teams and that's not right

    • @CodyMah
      @CodyMah День тому

      @@jeffreycairns767 the hits went away because the players that threw them did, not the hits themselves because of the league or rules. Doughty still occasionally throws these, dumba and gudas as well. They don’t get penalized either. Ballard, hamhuis, methot all did the same unpenalized before retiring. It’s not the league or rules, it’s the players.
