You brought up a good point with this. I wish more devs would push the boundaries of gaming with things like these. Some would fail and be laughable but then you would get successful things like these or as you pointed out with the music genre.

I like the fact that it's more ergonomic. I mean, let's pretend the twisting doesn't do anything in game, you can play with one hand in a different angle than the other, like when lying on your side on one elbow.

Lookup the Namco JogCon. Has a motorized dial/steering wheel and was used for Ridge Racer 4 and 5.
Namco made a specialist pad for racing games too, It was called the jogcon and had force feedback in 1988! Would be nice to see a review"!
