Alright!! Stoker..Name Randall Rostoker. He stayed with me for a few months each winter on the North Shore. He can switchfoot either way. I have a 6-6 Vee Machine and have ridden a nice 7-6 one as well. He's way down South now. We have had many fun go outs from the 80's to 2000''s. Classic
yaaa you Darieus Legg! haha thanks everyone! very stoked to have been a part of this and all the good vibes :). big big big props to Dar, he did all the work i just talked and went surfing a couple times yew!!
All time great film!! I love my Stocker V Machine. A great surfboard for small conditions. Some of Randy Rod-Stocker's famous surf lingo. "Hey now! ," So dang clean "and "Shaka's for everyone".
Mahalo @allensarlo ! His boards are so fun. I was super lucky he let me ride the one he’s riding in the movie. They work so great in all conditions. Stoker is such a legend, I feel super fortunate to have met him and become friends. 🤙🏽
Sooo glad my dumbass clicked on this, was gonna pass it by because of disappointment with just about every surf film done lately about some far out place and some semi pro or pro cat ripping on the perfect break. Way to go to all involved, board as main character brilliant idea!!! Such a relief there is art and soul still to be found! I’m stoked!🤙
Rad video! The first Stoker V Machine I surfed was an 8'4" or 8'10" it was huge! Surfed it on like 1 ft waves in CR and the glide was unreal! I couldn't believe how fast it was, and then it turned! So different than anything I had ever surfed. I've known Stoker from Goleta for a long time and he gave me his blessing to shape one for a friend like 20 years ago now, a 7'4".
Heard his voice on Sunday, he hangs out at my neighbors house in IV. See him at the food coop regularly, too. Glad you figured out who he is cause many people knew instantly from the title
The biggest thankyou for getting this out there and sharing. I just had a wonderful time watching and feeling that stoke you provided to me. Very inspirational to say the least and ive now told/organised a 3 day surf trip next weekend on my own with boards and swag in tow! Very grateful to you sir, yeeeeew
Loved this film👍 I first met Stoker years ago at Malibu. He once escorted me on my first trip to Jalama. He’s from California but had island style in large surf 🤙🏼
That particular board was shaped in Santa Barbara at Clyde Beatty shop ,stoker v machine ,and That David is from silver strand ,Oxnard cal ,in ventura cal ,I shaped out of Clyde's during that time.Clyde sold out to China and is in China now living teaching them how to build boards.
What a breath of fresh air! Totally didn't expect such an entertaining story - thank you. Got to surf with his mentor Jeff Carruthers in the 80's. Great to see him mentioned.
❤❤❤Vintage surfboard collector club souther California . I been a member , I have found so many different shapes and meet the shapers and hear their stories. I see used surfboards as kensugi. Kensugi is taking a broken vase and repair it. The lines represent time and someone was broken but put back together. Well , Today, i am always lookin for that rare ride.. Surfer Frank Downey Cali. 😅
Dar wow brutha that was a great piece and I learned so much as a non surfer. That shots in the water omg and the animation are like whoa! Proud and Stoked I am 🙏🏾… Whattup Cy and Rob 🤙🏾 Ecila 4ever
Think this board was one of Clyde's free b's to my buddy on Siler strand who spells his name that way ,Clyde always giving free boards to the strand crew ,free pass to a mile of perfect peaks,yo Randy I bought one of your boards back in the day ,with Puu's lable on it ,loved it.
So thrilled to see this available on UA-cam! Thank you, Darieus!
This is SICK!!!!!
This is wonderful. Put a smile on my face. Love it

That dude was a legend to us on the surf team at UCSB in the mid 90's. This is an epic blast from the past from the Gaucho days at 6503 DP Unit #6.
Have to say I got a little teary-eyed
Stoker has been a legend at my local beaches, my entire life
He is the real deal
