I'm fascinated by Josh because he's exactly like SO many guys I grew up with. Mostly trashy, mostly ignorant, only partially innocent, and all alcoholics/addicts. I feel like if I had zigged instead of zagged a couple times I could be just like him. And vice versa for him, just a couple different decisions and he could be a whole other person.
You can see it in his younger videos, especially around the time when he was with his first girlfriend, got his first apartment and working at Wendys, he actually had a pretty good thing going for himself. He was always a weirdo but when he arrived at the crossroads of taking the path of being a a) cool, interesting weirdo, or, b) loser deadbeat weirdo, he went headfirst in the latter direction, burning every bridge and eliminating every chance of redemption along the way.

I had a friend who was *exactly* like Josh in high school and college. He was obsessed with Ozzy Osbourne, had long greasy hair, and was willing to get intoxicated with just about any substance. The only difference between him and Josh was the fact that my friend was a straight-A student. He would smoke PCP the night before a chemistry final, and still ace it. I kept him around for years because he was such an interesting and entertaining character, and I genuinely enjoyed his company. That was until my girlfriend told me he had tried molest her while I was passed out drunk.
Johnny Cash betrayed his Partner, did wrong to many people he knew, and used his childhood as an excuse. Cobra, did very little evil all-together, and ended up even more ostrasized that Johnny Cash because he was weird and didnt sing well. Yeah, the first 30 mins at his apartment exposed just how much he’s slipped into his mind. Even quietly toasting to Ozzy under his breath in front of you. At the last apartment there were frequent visits from the Bog Bunch which were keeping his social skills up. Since moving, he’s too far from most of them and Warlord got banned. Now he lives in his head, learning about the world from skewed UA-cam videos and arguing with trolls all day or letting the pay pigs inflate his ego. I’m autistic so I know how important having regular contact with people is. I hate doing it and would spend all day hidden in my room gaming if I could but Josh is the perfect example of what will happen if I don’t see friends, family or go out to social events.
When I was 18, I had 2 years of no friends and just staying holed up in my room playing games. Wasn’t being social at school or work. I think those 2 years set me back far on the social intelligence scale.

Have to take a break, I'm at the 1:08:00 mark and this made me so depressed for Josh. Dude is just trying to navigate his way through the world while very obviously suffering from mental deficiencies. It's not a unique story, but it's difficult to stomach when you factor in all the trolling and yet his persistence to stay goodhearted and defend/support people. Clearly he wanted to be cool so he took up every stereotypical trope imaginable that every small town 90s kid grew up with about what it was "to be cool". Now he pisses away what little money he gets on useless crap and substances instead of trying to better himself or his situation, and draws in the worst crowd available from his small community. It's so easy to punch down on a guy like this, but all I feel is pity.

5/10 its okay, but too much dead weight. Lots of your commentary and video of yourself should have been cut and left for a Q&A or "making of" type of video for people who really care about the details. You could have gotten this down to a tight 60-70 mins and it would have been better. I also think the interview being interwoven with the rest of the footage would have been a more entertaining style choice, there are many instances where a cut between the interview and the footage would have worked excellently- from cobra saying "he knows everyone" cut to the mayor saying "Ive never head of him"; or him cheering for his highschool sports team in the car and then cut to the interview and him talking about how he hated school (just for example)

For all intents and purposes YFS basically thought he was gonna show up and once he got Cobes on camera the content would make itself. He legit would have a much better end product if he did a more elaborate run down on the warlock's history to show he actually knows his subject, instead it comes off like he randomly came across Cobes a couple months ago and could try to use it as a way to branch out his channel. I'm not expecting anything overly new but he basically didn't know what he was getting into, thinking he was going to get Josh to do any sort of activity beyond drinking and smoking.

This isn’t very good. I feel like you’re directly talking to the camera for way too much of this documentary instead of just using narration over video you recorded on the scene with Josh. Your other “expert” interview subjects were very underwhelming choices. You’re very aware there have been other documentaries that candidly recorded him, showing how he is all the time, so I don’t really understand the point of this documentary besides “I felt like meeting this weird internet guy”.

Got a really off vibe from this. I think you went into this with good intentions, but there are certain parts of this that are painful to watch if you aren't rooting for his downward spiral to continue. OP has clearly never been to karaoke. We venerate people that can perform well in front of a live audience because most people sound exactly like Cobra. Even the sober ones. And they stand awkwardly still and stare at the lyric screen like that. It's hard to sing well, and it's harder to move rhythmically and hype a crowd up. It's nerve wracking to get up on stage and sing poorly in front of potentially judgemental drunks. This vid is my first exposure outside of Metokur to Cobra, he's kind of sad and autistic, he's not far from being a wet brain alcoholic, and his diet is atrocious, but props to him for getting on the karaoke stage.

I'm fascinated by Josh because he's exactly like SO many guys I grew up with. Mostly trashy, mostly ignorant, only partially innocent, and all alcoholics/addicts. I feel like if I had zigged instead of zagged a couple times I could be just like him. And vice versa for him, just a couple different decisions and he could be a whole other person.

I had a friend who was *exactly* like Josh in high school and college. He was obsessed with Ozzy Osbourne, had long greasy hair, and was willing to get intoxicated with just about any substance. The only difference between him and Josh was the fact that my friend was a straight-A student. He would smoke PCP the night before a chemistry final, and still ace it. I kept him around for years because he was such an interesting and entertaining character, and I genuinely enjoyed his company. That was until my girlfriend told me he had tried molest her while I was passed out drunk.

Yeah, the first 30 mins at his apartment exposed just how much he’s slipped into his mind. Even quietly toasting to Ozzy under his breath in front of you.
At the last apartment there were frequent visits from the Bog Bunch which were keeping his social skills up. Since moving, he’s too far from most of them and Warlord got banned.
Now he lives in his head, learning about the world from skewed UA-cam videos and arguing with trolls all day or letting the pay pigs inflate his ego.
I’m autistic so I know how important having regular contact with people is. I hate doing it and would spend all day hidden in my room gaming if I could but Josh is the perfect example of what will happen if I don’t see friends, family or go out to social events.
When I was 18, I had 2 years of no friends and just staying holed up in my room playing games. Wasn’t being social at school or work. I think those 2 years set me back far on the social intelligence scale.

Choppiness of stopping for his commentary ruined it for me, could have spoke over him doing things rather than cutting to the commentary separately. Also a lot of his criticism of Cobes comes down to his ASD, I feel like he either has a limited understanding of Autism or chose to ignore it to make him look worse. Additionally bringing an alcoholic a fresh bottle and taking them to a bar just to critique their alcoholism makes no sense, they literally enabled it. Also….length.

Have to take a break, I'm at the 1:08:00 mark and this made me so depressed for Josh. Dude is just trying to navigate his way through the world while very obviously suffering from mental deficiencies. It's not a unique story, but it's difficult to stomach when you factor in all the trolling and yet his persistence to stay goodhearted and defend/support people. Clearly he wanted to be cool so he took up every stereotypical trope imaginable that every small town 90s kid grew up with about what it was "to be cool". its okay, but too much dead weight. Lots of your commentary and video of yourself should have been cut and left for a Q&A or "making of" type of video for people who really care about the details. You could have gotten this down to a tight 60-70 mins and it would have been better. I also think the interview being interwoven with the rest of the footage would have been a more entertaining style choice, there are many instances where a cut between the interview and the footage would have worked excellently- from cobra saying "he knows everyone" cut to the mayor saying "Ive never head of him"; or him cheering for his highschool sports team in the car and then cut to the interview and him talking about how he hated school (just for example)

For all intents and purposes YFS basically thought he was gonna show up and once he got Cobes on camera the content would make itself. He legit would have a much better end product if he did a more elaborate run down on the warlock's history to show he actually knows his subject, instead it comes off like he randomly came across Cobes a couple months ago and could try to use it as a way to branch out his channel. I'm not expecting anything overly new but he basically didn't know what he was getting into, thinking he was going to get Josh to do any sort of activity beyond drinking and smoking.

This isn’t very good. I feel like you’re directly talking to the camera for way too much of this documentary instead of just using narration over video you recorded on the scene with Josh. Your other “expert” interview subjects were very underwhelming choices. You’re very aware there have been other documentaries that candidly recorded him, showing how he is all the time, so I don’t really understand the point of this documentary besides “I felt like meeting this weird internet guy”.

Yeah this was the biggest disappointment of the year. I was so excited for another documentary update on Cobes. This was nothing like "Now it's a party". Instead, we got a guy who googled "how to be a hipster" who then googled "what is the internet into right now", then he slapped on his hipster uniform, got tattoos, and did a documentary on king cobra. Fuck this guy

Reminds me of idubbbz's documentary on airsoftfatty. Said nothing of substance and seemed weirdly cynical, also way too much of himself in there.

More of a video essay than a doc felt more like the narrator dude was commenting on someone else's material it's just not well Integrated and there's plenty of fat to be cut like the scene with the mayor

Got a really off vibe from this. I think you went into this with good intentions, but there are certain parts of this that are painful to watch if you aren't rooting for his downward spiral to continue. I mean, the dude told you straight up, 'the people who send him free booze should Minecraft themselves' and he's right. I know I'm probably not in the majority, but I genuinely hope he gets better. All he needs to do is put forward a very minimal effort, and he could have an infinitely better life. I just hope he gets that one day.
If you donate him money he will not buy toothpaste, shampoo, or anything to better himself. He'll buy booze. Anyone who donates to him is contributing to his downward spiral. Now he does computer duster all day

OP has clearly never been to karaoke. We venerate people that can perform well in front of a live audience because most people sound exactly like Cobra. Even the sober ones. And they stand awkwardly still and stare at the lyric screen like that. It's hard to sing well, and it's harder to move rhythmically and hype a crowd up. It's nerve wracking to get up on stage and sing poorly in front of potentially judgemental drunks. This vid is my first exposure outside of Metokur to Cobra, he's kind of sad and autistic, he's not far from being a wet brain alcoholic, and his diet is atrocious, but props to him for getting on the karaoke stage.
If Cobra won the lottery, he would be dead in under a month. You know he would go on a massive binge with drugs and booze.
Even if he would a few thousand dollars I reckon he would done fore lol It would be simultaneously glorious and extremely depressing to see,
