@Gordon Vos I've known people who have done it till they die for like 50 years some people can have very normal lives there is a difference between drug use and drug abuse I used to use to to work i did a very small bump in the morning just to keep me awake i barely felt it and another very small one at lunch I'd spend like 25 cents a day on meth and I worked hard and had a broken back it took away my pain a bit and I still ate 2 to 3 meals a day and slept almost every night and if I couldn't sleep I would still lay there for 6 to 8 hours and rest my eyes

Sounds like ADHD medicine, which doctors push on kids, then they become adults that do that same medicine. Perhaps there is more to adults using meth than them being junkies. Maybe with more education, and research we could find a way move on from the horror of meth addiction. Awareness really does help. More importantly removing yourself from the scene that provides the dope is Catamount to recovery. Trust me, I've been there.
I literally switched to meth after my Adderall tolerance was fucked. Turned out meth had less side effects while lasting twice as long with the same exact effects/high. Such bullshit double standards. Meth is legally available via prescription in the US for ADHD and narcolepsy, it's called Desoxyn. And yes I'm ADHD as fuck and have always gotten a euphoric, focused high from therapuetic doses of Adderall.

@@AnnoyingAllie3 Desoxyn is prescribed for treatment resistant ADHD in some rare cases, it's absolutely not unheard of. Usually for people with Narcolepsy and ADHD.

I managed too get out of it before it escalated. I began with a dose far to big for me. Messed me up for long. My heart goes out to anyone who’s been or is affected by this drug. I can’t help anyone with words. But i know how it is. My dad used since he was 14 and I’ve always been surrounded by people who used or lost close ones to it. The governments should start to help the people, not like sick people, but as normal people who got the sharp end of the stick.

He needs anti-psychotics, anxiety meds, and mood stabilizers. Hydroxyzine, and propranolol were perscribed to my brother. Im not sure the name of the anti-psychotic but all he needs is a assesment. If you can get him to sign his name to allow you to make him a appointment it makes things much easier

Risperidone and Seroquel helped me stop my delusions and end my psychotic episode, although it wasn't meth induced. Now I'm on Vraylar

How do you help someone that doesn't want help? I am so tired of having to stay up for days because I have to babysit someone that uses this dam drug because I am afraid that he can hurt me or my little dog I've woken up with him strangling me while I was asleep, he kept saying over and over that I was talking about him and that he could hear in the living room ! I was so scared so now I just don't sleep I only sleep at work in between breaks just so I have a little peace, it's hard to have handle this on your own and you don't want to worry your parents. I just hope one day he doesn't die .He told me if he ever overdosed two barie him under the house because he didn't want anyone to know why he died. I don't know what to do with that ?? 😱😱😱😱😱☹☹☹

^dont listen to this jerk. Thank you for sharing your story. I say the first step is making it so the drug isn't available to him anymore. I know it will be very hard but you have to. Next step is to either send him to a rehab facility, if he won't go then you will have to call the police. He won't have any crime charges put on him because he did nothing wrong as far as they are aware. Dont tell them the horrible things he has done to you it will only make matters worse. If you want to seek a different route make him eat healthy and drink plenty of fluids and call a psychologist. I told my online doctor that I was recovering from it and he decided to put me on vyvanse for all my brain damage...

Leave him. Dump him and move to someplace he doesn't know. You'll likely have to change jobs and cut ties with people he knows. Do not tell him what's coming. Just vanish. Go no contact no matter what.
Meth heads are extremely dangerous. By staying you're being codependent and to some degree an enabler. You're also throwing your life away.

It's ruined me after getting off it, my brain hasn't been normal since. My dopamine receptors have shut off. I'm getting on vyvanse medication because I have no choice at this point. I lost all motivation and happiness...
@@nickdesera4392 how much did you use and for how long, I'm 22 days clean, still don't feel like my old self I just feel so cold emotionally sometimes, like I could be happy but I can't show it, this shit does mess up your emotions, even alcohol won't get me as buzzed as before and I only drink on weekends

After your brain gets use to the dopamine dump and u will go thru stages i went through severe depression for around 2 years thanks to my mother for always caring for me and never giving up moms almost never stop caring for you
