- In todays chronicle Im processing up some firewood rounds with a 22 ton kinetic log splitter. This thing is fast and effective, however if you don't know what you are doing it can be a dangerous machine to run. Im going to post a full review of this splitter in my next couple of uploads.

been looking at these videos for a few days. this one convinced me to stay with a hydraulic splitter.
That’s why I made the video man. I couldn’t really find that many videos on UA-cam of them. Glad it helped 👍🏼
Yea me to, if I have to pre-split my logs I don’t see the point of having the splitter. My old splitter would bust right through a 17” long 25” dia. Oak log, also mine was horizontal or vertical I always used mine vertical, I sure didn’t want to pick up huge logs.
Damn, keep up with these good videos ya country boy
Will do brother!
Man that’s a nice splitter
Thanks man, going to do a full review very soon!
4:35 can’t wait for that review dude that thing is cool. Ours has the axe head going through and that one pushes it into an axe head, never seen it before
Yes sir. Totally a different ball game with this splitter
I use an aluminum ramp off the side of my kinetic splitter and roll the big rounds up that onto my splitter , that way i dont have to lift the big ones and i am over 60
Looks good brother!!!
Thanks buddy! This splitters gone through a lot with me lol
I have the larger model of that brand and I curse at it every time I use it. Nearly sprained my wrist a couple times when engaging the pinion. I also didn't even have 10 cords through it and it broke teeth of both the rack and pinion when it got stuck in a knot. Will keep using it but currently it isn't my favorite piece of equipment. Oh, and I am constantly stooping when using it which gets to your back after a while.
I’ve had the same thing happen to me. I’m going to do a full review of this type of splitter this week and address these issues. Not the worst splitter in the world by any means.... but it’s no 10,000 dollar splitter like u see all over UA-cam lol

The Best 💪💪💪
Instead of having to toss every split piece, I park mine where I want my wood pile, and just let the split pieces get pushed off of the end by the machine. Perhaps this would not work well with a kinetic splitter. When my pile gets big and has buried the hitch, the hydraulic ram then pushes my wood splitter backwards, out of the pile ;-)
Bruh how much did that wood splitter run you that things crazy
I ended up getting this thing for $1500 ! honestly a decent price to pay
I HAVE 2 DR FAST FIRE SPLITTERS. IM LOOKING TO GET ONE MORE THAT IS ELECTRIC. DO YOU KNOW WHO SELLS A PRO ELECTRIC SPLITTER LIK THE ONE YOU HAVE ?
Ive not tried running a kinetic splitter that is electric before actually. Why do you want electric rather than gas?
Supersplit has an electric model. I have the DR 22 ton electric model and it works well but the motor overheats. A YT video shows another user replacing the motor and he reports it works better. I got electric because I use it in town and am considerate of my neighbors.
I will stay with my 15 hydraulic . Mine has little grippers on the head of the pusher rarely slips out and when it does does not go air born . Most 8 "to 10" inch logs 2 strokes = 4 pieces I could do the those big ones if I get them up on my table
I thought kinetic my be better and faster . I think not
Glad this video helped u out man 👍🏼👍🏼
For about 200 bucks you can buy a 3000 pound winch and make a crane out of 2 inch galvanized steel pipe so you can lift those bigger rounds up onto your splitter without having to split them. Or go all out and get a gorillabac. Wish I could post a picture of the one I made for my Dr K22 for ya. I've had up to 40 inch rounds on mine, about as big as I'll go for worry of Smashing something;>)
How's the splitter holding up?
How are the teeth/gear holding up
What splitter are you going to upgrade to?
I ended up going with a larger 35 ton. Sacrificed speed for power lol…. But got it really cheap on marketplace, so I couldn’t pass it up!
🤝🤝👍👍👍
What always gets me is watching people split wood they pick it up split it then throw it back on the ground again. Why not load it up in trailer or truck move it closer to were you plan on using it. Sorry I just see it as adding work on yourself.
I had a guy drive to my place, pick it up and load it himself, is why 👍🏼. Thanks for watching Wayne!
@@CountryBoyChronicle he should have been there and loaded as you split it lol
@@wayneday3916 haha unfortunately it was a few days after 😂
Doesnt seem efficient..would drive me nuts..i prefer hydraulic cylinder set up
Looks like Chinese scrap.
It’s actually not bad lol
So strange... Looks like an alpha male splitting some good wood but, sounds like a beta narrating
lol what? 😂
it doesn't have enough power, the steering wheel is too light!
