I liked the comment about using a sharp razor blade around wood frames. I've accidently carved into the wood while trying to get something off glass before - good tip.
Fabulous video. I'm new at the idea of painting frames/mirrors, came across your video, and this was Definitely encouraging and helpful. Little details. Personality. Creativity and vision. Let me go see what else you have. Thank you!
Using game cards to insert is clever and sometthing I would not have thought because my go-to would have been old newspapers. Thank you for creatin this informative & helpful video. Greetings from Chicago 🙂🪴
Thanks! I know this is an old upload but I needed help deciding between spraying or hand painting a mirror. I've only painted cheap mirrors in the past so I've spray painted. This time I'm painting a high-quality one made of solid wood. The back is also solidly attached and my husband and I both think we'd destroy it removing it. Appreciate the tip about seeing a small portion of the original color in the reflection. Seems obvious now but I hadn't thought of it. 😊
This video is very helpful. I have a couple mirrors that I want to refurbish and I'm thinking about doing a similar look to what you did with your wooden mirror but I probably wouldn't wax it at the end. But all your tips and tricks were very helpful.
Hey Amy, I bought a brand new Gray framed mirror that has a high gloss finish. After I do the prep work, I want to paint the frame with a mini cabinet roller to avoid paintbrush strokes. Anything I need to be aware of before I paint the frame? I’m painting it with a lighter cabinet gray color, Which I bought from a paint shop.
Sorry Elizabeth, that's a color I mixed myself! I think I started with Annie Sloan in an off white (called "Original") then added some craft paint in a color called Fawn to make it a little darker. Thanks for watching!
You can jump to the tutorial at 5:21 if you aren't interested in flipping furniture. Thanks for watching!!

Haha yes I guess you learned the hard way just like me ;-)

Colours are nice but the straight geometrical cut off of the design doesn't fit free and easy bohemian look
