I have a Komatsu D53S-17 track loader. It's got a world of power but I have about the same time into pushing down a large tree. I find it easier to use my backhoe to loosen up the roots then give it a nice shove with the loader. I spend hours doing this and yet, here I am watching you do it. I must say, tt's really enjoyable watching these things. Cool video Abram, thanks!
I like the method you describe best as well, however a lot of people think its just extra time being billed to them🤷♂️ Apologies for the delay response, I've missed seeing some of these.
Nice video as always Abram. Love the track loader action, now that spring is here hopefully we get to see some more content consistently. Love the channel!
The new equipment is a tad more rambunctious than the older ones for sure! Each still has it's space tho. I say that as long as I don't have to operate the old stuff for long periods of time 🙃
That's a nice little machine you have there. I own and operate a 973C track loader. My machine would've made that tree short work, but probably would've used the same amount of fuel as you did in much less time haha. I notice your machine has single bar grousers. Is it hard on the machine? I have dual grouser pads. And they're consistently packed full and it takes away my traction.
I apologize for the late response. I don't always see comments as they come. We're over 4k hours on these single grouser tracks, 2nd set,and I love them. I've not noticed anything that I can say it was the single grouser fault. It could be,one does want to be respectful of the traction they supply. Only time I would go for double grouser anymore is while loading trucks, as these really tear up the loading site. Wouldn't trade them for the double grouser, because this thing goes places
@@abramzimmerman9089 On my next set of grousers I may try a single. I don't load trucks often with my machine. Even with dual grousers I tear up the ground. I guess that comes with weighing 60,000lbs
You know it's kinda sad to see the last standing tree go down. Your machine gnawing at her roots, the bucket teeth pushing and forcing it's way under her bark. She struggled to hold on, but in the end, man and machine always prevail. 158 yrs she stood tall, overlooking the landscape, knowing she was one of the first to settle here so long ago. Maybe the wind will catch one of her seedlings and carry it long and far away, and maybe by chance it will land in a pasture on a sunny hillside to begin it's journey. The End. This should of been a movie or a good children's book. Lol. M. Canada.
What do you think about the D series machine? I have a 953D on RPO right now through my Local Cat dealer. Has 2000 hrs. Like it so far. Any advice? Thanks
Sorry for the delay, comments occasionally don't get seen immediately. Our 953d is over 8k now, with me for over half of that. Its a solid machine, only had to replace tracks so far. These seem to have an issue with the bucket dump cylinder, it's not quite heavy enough 🤔 Thats been about the extent of trouble tho, granted, now and then it'll corrode a wire somewhere and throw some weird code, but its been really good 👍
@@abramzimmerman9089 thanks. I have a Deere 655k with 3k hrs coming this week to compare to. Deere is 6k heavier. We will see.... my only complaint so far with the 953d is with no ripper it feels front tipsy with a full bucket
yo creía que esos tractores tenían mas fuerza, como que entre mas nuevos son mas malos por que los Bulldozer viejos tumban un árbol de esos con un toque

Y'all, now listen a 53 63 73 will break you if your running it by the hour,I know they are nice and fast but ,,,,,, a good 77 or 55 will out do them a 77 would have that oak down with one good push and carry it to the pile stump included. Iv been around the hystates a while now they are just to out of balance and to fast, l own and operate a really nice 55 it has served me well ,my dad and I are the only ones that has run it in the past 30 years, it has made me more money than anything I own my d5n is runner up. I wish cat could do a total rebuild on it

Finally someone that can run a loader. I have seen some of these people on here that are so bad
!!!!!!!!!! I've been operating since 1968
Thanks!
Appreciate the feedback!

Nice👍🤗 from sweden🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪
Nice and smooth operation. She is fast compared to my old HD5G Allis Chalmers. Good bit bigger too.

Do you leave that tree there for a year and cut it up for fire wood
nice work, greetings one channel from Indonesia,👍👍👍
Now there's a guy who knows how to clear with a loader. I've been running one for 27 years, it takes one to know one
27 years is a lot of rattle time!
@Richard RattansinghI just goggled the 983 what a beast of a machine, it looks like a D7 with a bucket. thanks for your post

It will feel like that, a counter weigh is a great improvement.
😂😂, y se creerá que es muy bueno,😂😂😂
Bons vídeos! Mui legais
Não a necessidade de levantar tanto a caçamba da maquina escava bem e empurra de uma só vez não prescisa ficar testando a árvore várias vezes
Where have you been hiding Abram? Long time no see
Been in hibernation 😂
The sun brought me back to life.
Just a lot going on,and the tube saw some neglect, however, I'll try to continue producing.

good work, of course, accompanied by technical skills
Imagina a força de um tornado que arranca uma árvore pela raiz em segundos
É a máquina é boa
Needs more counter weight in the rear.
It could stand having the ripping attachment, that I think would balance a little better 🤔
Great operator bad camera placement always going off frame
Needs a few lessons on camera operations
