As a lifelong Clevelander no one calls these area the names you used. I have no clue where “Industrial Valley” is. Kinda funny 😆
he dont know what he speaks of
Is " Industrial Valley " another name for The Flats?.
It’s always someone who isn’t from Cleveland talking down on our city. I just don’t get it.
@@acebones1971 The city and Cleveland State University coined a lot of neighborhood names not used by locals.
@@franzzrilich9041 I’m speaking about people who disrespect the city, as if Cleveland is the only place in America with “bad” neighborhoods. They just run with a narrative that’s long been untrue. Cleveland has grown tremendously.
Cleveland girl here, born and raised. Wtf am I even watching? 🤦♀️😂
Another Democrat run city !
Seriously. I make 80 thousand a year bartending here. And I great at my job
Born and raised than white flight out of it, just interesting to see the old neighborhood again
Your watching Cleveland’s ghettos, with its usual band of low- life’s. Getting better though. Lots of riff- raff heading to maple heights, Garfield Hts, Solon, twinsburg…. Couple more years and those cities will be included in this film. I wonder why people leave, instead of becoming part of these diversified areas. After all, that’s the liberal way of living…right?
He has no Idea what he's talking about not to mention quality of life has eveything todo with income not where you live
When a realtor uses the phrase “up and coming neighborhood,” it really means that the locals are “UP in arms” and they’re “COMING over to your place.”
"Up and coming" means bad neighborhood.
As spoken by a real moron

Where is East Cleveland to me that’s the worst area with all the empty houses and apartments still standing.
@@lesliefrazier6424 he listed areas in East Cleveland and broke it up into different areas
@@jamiewalter7899No. You're thinking of the East Side neighborhoods. East Cleveland is a separate city on Cleveland's eastern border.

Bought a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath in Cleveland for $63K in 2015.

Quality of life: high.
You know what they say: Cleveland may be bad, but at least they aren't Detroit!
Mistake on the Lake 🤣
You're right - Detroit has a lower crime rate.
Yuuup!! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😊😁
For sure! I live 15 minutes from Detroit and it's much worse than any neighborhood in Cleveland. In fact, Cleveland looks like the Promised Land compared to Detroit. That's why I go to Cleveland all the time to shop, eat downtown and just enjoy a beautiful city.
@Sketchy Skies I'd rather live in Detroit. Cleveland sucks.
Sadly this video will simply prolog the mistake on the lake narrative. I moved to Cleveland suburbs back in mid 80s and have never had need to visit the neighborhoods that he mentioned. Why don't you do video about top 10 places near Cleveland. Do some research on " emerald necklace " . Good luck finding something even close to this in any large metropolitan. Hint, research CLEVELAND METROPARKS

You need to do the better neighborhoods of Cleveland cause there are a lot of them

He left out that Fairfax is where Cleveland Clinic is, and Cleveland Clinic is a world-renowned hospital; it’s 20-24 city blocks wide. Lots of gentrification with extra nice houses so medical people have a place to live.
It's been battling Mayo Clinic in Baltimore for #1 Hospital in the U.S for years. It continually ranks as the best heart care. Cleveland Clinic even has a MASSIVE hospital in Dubai, believe it or not

Briggs, in case you didn't realize it from the repeating of Rail Road, it is hard to find anywhere in Cleveland and its suburbs, that are not near train tracks.
I used to live on west 6th street / Rail road, until they Gentri-fucked it when I was starting high-school. I'm not even sure if the projects on west 7th still exist
I grew up in Cleveland in the 80-90s! Gives you grit - be prepared to fight for what you have. I was able to move up to Parma, but will retire in Cleveland because taxes & utilities are cheaper.
Why would anyone want to live like that if they didn't have to?
Gangs and violence is the problem, and
no one cares about the neighborhoods.
The people have to work together to get
Control of the problems by putting politicians
In office that care about the city.
Parma is ghetto smh 🤦🏾♀️
Can you please do the good neighborhoods in Cleveland? With the cost of living soaring across the country, Cleveland has been an attractive alternative. I want to visit Cleveland one day just to check it out.
There's so many nice places 30min to an hour outside of Cleveland. You can drive almost 70 miles an hours drive from downtown. It's not like NY/Chicago/LA where you can spend a couple hours trying to leave Downtown.
@@Eargesplitten-Loudenboomer Parma looks nice. Even pockets of the West side of Cleveland over near Pearl Rd look nice. What's the traffic in Cleveland like?
@@thedirtybubble9613 Parma is nice and traffic isn't too bad outside of major events or sports games. The thing I'm getting at is you can work in downtown Cleveland if you want and not have to live there or even in a suburb. My uncle owns about 600 acres an hour drive from the center of downtown. My parents live on about 10 the same distance away. I grew up in the woods and could be a kilometer from the nearest house but I could get to the center of downtown in an hour. I currently live about 25 miles from downtown. I can pet deer in my front yard and then be downtown in 30min. I do that trip regularly to wire houses all over the suburbs. Zoom out just a little bit and you can have the best of both worlds. You just have to keep the winter in mind if you're not from a snowy area.

Gotta love the fact that Cleveland Clinic is one of the best in the nation. 😅
His nonsense about Ohio being a rust belt state is quite disgusting. I've tried to hate it here. My parents brought me here from long Beach, California. I graduated in the 90s. I would have seen sublime on the beach. So, with that. This state doesn't suck at all. I've been other places as an adult and I wouldn't raise my children anywhere else. They had a normal childhood swimming hole and everything.
Damn since I grew up in the inner city I've been around or grew up in every place listed haha. It's really not all that bad just mind your business and you'll be fine. If your trying to get into something then that's when you're a candidate for a crime happening to you.
Exactly for the past month I've been going around East Cleveland and Central, being the one of few white boys there I've felt 0 disrespect at all and met alot of good people.
I grew up here, and live in the Kinsman area now. I agree, mind your business, it's fine. There is an overwhelming sense of community, my neighbors have always looked out for my family and vice versa.
@@frankhuzzer1680I wish more people in the region understood that by avoiding so much of the city, they're missing out on meeting lots of great people and learning about new things.

The buildings you showed in the “industrial valley” segment are really in Central there just north of Woodland Ave.
Industrial Valley isnt a place you live in, it’s just where the steel mills and refineries are down by the river - that’s it.
Most Cleveland maps in fact leave that part grayed out because literally no one lives there lol.
I used to live in the stockyards neighborhood of Cleveland and it gets it's name for the reason you might think. Long ago, it's where the cattle and other animals were held after transport by rail to be sent to slaughter.
I lived on West 47th between Denison and Storer from 1993 to 2007. Moved out of the area due to the increase in crime. I still live in Cleveland but on the far Westside.
I lived in a multi family house on Storer about 12 years ago, it was disgusting to say the least.
I Grew Up On W.54th And Eichorn And I Remember The Old Decrepit Slaughter Houses On W.65th Near The Old K Mart Plaza 😮
Thanks once again, Briggs, for entertaining your viewers by posting the worst places to live-here,there, and everywhere-as well as the best places in the same locales. You've insulted four of my former hometowns, and yet I keep coming back for more. There's inevitably a a kernel of truth in the videos, and they're a relaxing way to view the latest statistics.
Most of "Union Miles" were pics of Superior
Wow, Briggs, thanks for this report. Will you also be giving us the better neighborhoods in Cleveland? The healthcare there is amazing, and poking around on Realtor, seeing pretty nice looking homes, but unsure of the hoods they're in. Thanks!

Westlake, Avon Lake are good areas too.
Just buy a gun and take it with you when you go out, if you're single. If you have a family, then it matters where you decide to live.
@@celetarenee Avon Lake is not even in the same county as Cleveland
A little outside of Cleveland, Orange-North of Solon area was not bad when I was living in Cleveland.
You can thank Cleveland Clinic for the rise in cost of living in Fairfax!
We live in one of the cheapest real estate markets in the country, in a city where a lot of it looks like a bomb went off. Yes, prices will go up when people who have higher incomes come back to the city.
Life long Westsider. I love my city but it truly is a city divided by a river. You might get robbed or stabbed west of the Cuyahoga but 90% of the Murders are EAST OF IT!
Unfortunately, that is changing.
Westside has been having lots of shootings murders be real, and lots of overdose .No different from eastside,Lorain ave,Detroit Ave, Clark, etc. Full of dope addicts and Tremont area.
Broadway & Kinsman were bad before the term "rust belt" was even invented. Maybe the name Butcher of Kingsberry Run might ring a bell, too? My mother grew up on Broadway & I remember visiting my grandparents. While a lot of people don't like living on rivers, I can assure you, despite how you mentioned "river", it's not going to catch fire again.
Great old Memories of Cleveland....... GO BROWNS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Groundbreaking, someone NOT from Cleveland is trashing Cleveland.... I'm glad you looked at some stats on the internet. You must be an expert. How many times have you visited Cleveland?
Cleveland has an excellent live theatre community.
Baldwin Wallace college in Berea has a musical theatre major that is rated #2 in the USA.
I'm in the Cleveland suburbs. This is a great place if your in the medical or legal field. Ope forgot manufacturing.

@@agolftweetler3995 what flew up your ass?
I am so tired of your constant Cleveland bashing. it is quite obvious you have an axe to grind. You never focus on the good aspects of Cleveland , ONLY the negative. The way you cherry pick stats make it clear you have an agenda. i have lived in and traveled to many major cities in the US and Cleveland by far is one of the nicest metro areas in the nation. Have you even been to Cleveland?? I doubt it. It is odd you only focus on the bad areas of the city while ignoring the good. The rough areas comprise
5 %to 10% of the metro area ,.but that is what you report only to portray Cleveland in a negative light.. Cleveland has some of the wealthiest and safest communities in the nation.. Gates Mills, Hunting Valley, Pepper Pike, Beachwood, Solon , Westlake, Rocky River, Bay Village, Moreland Hills , Chagrin Falls to name a few. The inner city is experiencing tremendous growth. Housing and commercial construction is booming The neighborhoods of Tremont, Ohio City, Battery Park offer condos and homes starting at 600 k and most are presold before completion . The University Circle neighborhood of Cleveland has some of the nation's best cultural, medical, and educational institutions and was rated one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the country. My advice to you , is instead of spending time trashing Cleveland and portraying the city as some war zone, perhaps you should take some speech and diction classes because your speaking skills are atrocious.
I totally agree. This guy is a Jerk. Obviously he has an agenda and doesn't want to acknowledge what has been happening to inner cities across the country for decades. Wonder where this creature lives. I don't know how this idiot showed up in my feed.
@T D Tremont is right outside the city, but he fails to mention the forced gentrification of locals and elderly so trust fund babies and can pretend they struggle in the city.
I’m shocked he didn’t mention Clark-Fulton (aka Spanishtown) because that is by far the absolute worst place to live in Cleveland.
@@RubbleByte pretty much all of Clark is a rough area lol
I agree. All the malls in the Cleveland Area are still going strong with a few vacant inline spaces and a least one vacant anchor building. I visited SouthPark Mall yesterday and it’s still almost fully occupied. Also, it’s located in a very great suburb which is Strongsville which is in the southwest side of the Cleveland metro.
Hey Briggs! Can you do some videos showing cities with the lowest and highest livability scores?
Born and raised in East Cleveland. I live in Fla and I hate it. I'm ready to move back.
I never knew train tracks could be so appalling! I enjoyed playing on and around them when I was young.
Can you do 10 best neighborhoods in Cleveland, Ohio pls
Ohio is a great place to live. Every city has bad areas and Cleveland is no exception. I see you followed every slum along the train Tracks.
I lived in Asiatown for 3 years. Lots of potential in this part of town. Also, I don't consider Asiatown part of St. Clair-Superior. That would be east of 55th.
Agree: I live in River, from West Park and I go to Asiatown all the time. Including pre-Covid Night Market. Not that bad. Problems have nothing to do w/starving artists or train tracks. Most all the violent crime is to the east and is drug related.
you do realize cleveland is an industrial city which is why you have all the industrial buildings and train tracks in almost every neighborhood, you also covered only neighborhoods in the inner city, there is more to cleveland than the inner city. this is why a lot of cities get a bad wrap people focus on the negativity and not the positive things the city has to offer
I do know it is an industrial city with a lot of train tracks. That doesn't change the fact that neighborhoods around train tracks have lower property value and higher crime. And yes, Cleveland does have some positives just like every city, town, state, and village. But that isn't what this video is about. It is about the negative side of things. How would it look if I made a video called "Worst Neighborhoods in Cleveland" and started giving a glowing review? People would be very confused.
@@WorldAccordingToBriggs Let me chime in. I get it but almost all of your videos about Cleveland and Ohio in general are very negative. If I've never visited this city and watched one of your videos, I would probably be convinced that Cleveland was some dangerous war zone. I've lived here my entire life and have also visited at least 15 major U.S. cities and there was not one that didn't have some dangerous areas that weren't safe during certain times of the day. Urban crime and poverty are an American problem. The only thing that sucks in Cleveland is the winter weather and even that is subjective. This may not be your schtick but how about doing a series of videos on cities that are turning things around after suffering from decades of decline and how they are meeting these challenges. Thanks
@@WorldAccordingToBriggs Briggs give me a break! Its clear you have an agenda. You are ALWAYS hating on Cleveland and Ohio and only focus on the negative. Hell you even bash the Indians new name. @@rooseveltvillegas5321 Cleveland has a large Puerto Rican 🇵🇷 population on Westside of Cleveland, we have a annual Puerto Rican parade lots of fun food etc.Dont let his video distract you.
Just letting you know parts of the industrial valley and the central neighborhood are essentially the same thing. We just call it “Down tha way” which is definitely the worst part of Cleveland.
It's mainly the east side of Cleveland you have to watch....lived on the west side for 30 years.... The city for the last 7 has started to re construct down town and the city close to down town.... try again later briggs.
The west side does have issues too. I used to live near W Blvd and Clifton near the red line. The area south of the tracks between Detroit to Lorain is kinda crazy. Beautiful homes are there, but still kinda bad.
65th and Detroit to Lorain is still kinda bad. By the lake, they put in expensive homes.
Clark/Fulton area is bad. I was across from St. Rocco before moving to Chicago. Even the area by Metro hospital isn't that nice.
When he mentions “national crime rate” that figures in like Nebraska and such. Cleveland is a huge city, theres crime in cities, you have to be aware in any cities. Where does this guy live? I don’t like his superior attitude. I live in Brooklyn a suburb of Cleveland but love Cleveland and it’s people are friendlier than the ones I met in NY or MA.on a whole. Times are hard , don’t diss people in low income neighborhoods - if that’s all you can afford you know what to expect in any big city. Mean people suck.
I never had a problem with hearing a train. Kinda soothing to me!
Same! I got that in Old Brooklyn plus a view of the wind turbine at Pearl Road Auto Wrecking. They're surely the only wind powered junk yard. That turbine was like a giant pinwheel. It was soothing to watch
I've lived in the Cleveland area all my life. There are good and bad sections like any other city. The weather in Cleveland is not so bad. We get snow but the lake protects us from major snow. It flies over us and goes to Buffalo. It does get cold but not all winter. We get winters that are pretty mild. You talked a lot about train tracks. What's wrong with those? The trains have to deliver goods to businesses. Don't other cities have train tracks? Briggs, I've been following you for years and I really enjoy all of your content. I'm not complaining, just commenting. Keep up the good work.
I agree about the train tracks. I've lived in several different places that were near them and have always enjoyed hearing trains in the night. They sound like adventure.
Briggs all big cities have their problems
Of all the big city like Detroit, philly,Minneapolis, Seattle, LA.,Baltimore, ill take cleveland all day
I've been to all of these cities and I forgot to mention Chicago , to me Cleveland is much better then any that I mention .
Before I open your vid I gotta say (again) avoid owning in Shaker Heights‼️Daughter bought a home there with 2 city code violations which were repaired. When she went to sell 3 years later she got docked with an elevated 13 more code violations and they well cared for their property. Crooks everywhere 😱
Accurate.

Depends on what part of Shaker! There are many wealthy, beautiful parts!
@auragurl86 yeah when my daughter finished the required repair list it was another beautiful home in SH💁🏼♀️
Shaker has always been really strict and quick to fine.
My roommate in college was from Cleveland, the Solon area. So of course I went to Cleveland many times and stayed at his parents house in Solon. It was a beautiful neighborhood. We would goto the Flats and always had a great time, never once did I not feel safe. I’ve always had a Great Time in Cleveland… There was a neighborhood called Lakewood and the Lakewood High School was on the verge of loosing all of their Art Programs in the school due to lack of funding. Well, they had just built a new gym and auditorium. They decided to hold concerts to raise money to support themselves for the Arts: music classes, band, art classes, etc. I’ve seen a many of concerts there and it was all headliners that were currant with the times. I remember the B52’s and Morrissey for a few. Lakewood record store where you could trade in CD’s and buy used ones, I think it was called The Record Exchange, 30% of my CD collection has come from there. My first Einstein Bagels was there as well… I saw REM at Gund Arena back in the day and went to Max n Erma’s for a pre concert party where I won front row seats for the show. I’ve always had a great time in Cleveland… I love Pininni’s Grill in the Flats. One of my favorite radio stations ever was in Cleveland and it was called “The End 107.9 FM”…. I heard it no longer exists… So many found memories of Cleveland… One of my favorite places to go… oh and the “Lil 🇮🇹 Italy Festival” is always a good time… and the Food… Yum… what about the Famous Air Show on the Lake ? I saw my first Stealth Bomber there… Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, I was there the first week it opened.. I licked Janis Joplin’s Porsche there… lol…
I thought she wanted a Mercedes Benz?! :)
Thanks, Mike. It's always good to have a balanced coverage in any news report on the actual conditions of an area. Also, being a young man in Janis's time, I really liked her and her music. Said that her life was cut short, but how/why she died is an all-too-common fact of the current times. There's a very good reason why doctors and pharmacies tell patients not to combine some medical drug treatments, norto have a more than very minor combo (on the same 24-hrs) with any alcoholic beverage. This ---> 🤕 is way better than this ---> 😵
@@phillipmel know all this first hand… ER/Trauma for 25 years now…. You speak the truth… some just don’t get it… Monkey on their back I guess

Good Concept - Enjoyed it.
Consider doing the "Ten Nicest Small Cities / Towns in Ohio." Hint: St. Clairsville.
It isn't the railroad tracks that hammer property values down, it's the type and frequency of rail traffic. Lots of freight trains at all hours = discount neighborhoods. Frequent passenger rail service = premium neighborhoods.

Would love to see you finish videos like this with a compilation map showing all the areas combined. Good stuff though.
Just came across the video and decided to watch because I’m originally from Cleveland and still live on the Northeast Ohio area. What horrible commentary on a place where people call home. Some of these areas may not be the best but a lot of people are proud of what they do have even if it’s not much. The video gets a 👎🏿 from me dawg.
I enjoy that you discuss real estate options in these areas. Not everyone can afford to go to a perfect suburb and is accustomed to these large older cities and these may be informative for people. Nice videos.
You don't move up to the East Side in Cleveland!!
Um yes you do. Try Gates Mills, Hunting Valley , Pepper Pike., Chagrin Falls. These are some of the wealthiest communities in the Nation.
Born and raised in Cleveland,Ohio I moved in 1991 and found life was adaptable. When you had to use a pay phone be aware of your surroundings. I was using a pay phone on the corner w33 rd and Longwood a really skinny guy pulled out a 38 trying to rob me. After I stop laughing at his little weapon while holding my 357 he smiled and asked me for my phone number. He looked so bad I gave him ten dollars for trying.
Opps not west East 33rd street . Cleveland may be in need of a miracle but the food back then couldn’t be matched. And we had Edge water park beach 🏝 Way way back in the early 80s the place to be for the 4th of July.
omg----worse than I thought! Of course, if you're going to focus on THE WORST you will find THE WORST. Honestly, I grew up waaay East of Cleveland, out in the snowbelt of Geauga County---which was po-dunk COUNTRY when I was a kid and teen. That childhood in "A Christmas Story" was very close to what I experienced. I still have family in that area, but am tremendously out of touch with Cleveland. When I was a teenager in the 70s, some of our best school field trips were into downtown Cleveland: theatre at The Cleveland Playhouse, beautiful music by The Cleveland Orchestra, as well as the Natural History Museum and the Cleveland Arts Museum. They weren't crappy or 2nd rate either---all professional and inspiring. So, I enjoyed your commentary on these horrible neighborhoods----but clearly they need to Get Rid of the TRAIN TRACKS! lol!

Look, Cleveland can be a rough place but my city is home.Come enjoy a polish boy, corned beef from Slymans and a hotdog from Downtown with stadium mustard bet you love it here lol
I always love when people who have never spent a minute here bash it.
My sister went to Cleveland recently. She had a business trip there. I was worried about her until she got home. The next trip was to Chicago. She's going to drive me to an early grave. 🙄
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Be thankful it's not Baltimore.
I ran the Chicago marathon a number of years ago. I was a little apprehensive at first, but it was really nice. Now, I didn't wander off the "main drag" and stayed on the marathon course during the race, so I was in the safer parts of Chicago. We went out at night and there were police officers every few feet it seemed like (they were all very nice and would talk to you, find out where you were from, etc.--very nice folks). I think if your sister does the same, she should be fine.
Cleveland isn't bad. Just avoid east and you're fine. West Cleveland is rich people
Next up east ST Louis and Oakland
Great work here Briggs! :)

Don't be. Cleveland is actually great. Yes, there are sketchy places to avoid like anywhere but it's a great city with great people and a ton to do! This guy has some kinda hatred and hang up on Cleveland and Ohio in general. Areas with colleges are very safe and a great time. 👍
The universities have their own campus security too.
Cleveland new baseball team should be call the rockers cause of the rock and roll Hall of Fame
That was their WNBA team's name
I would love to see more Ohio video’s.
The Agora theater is in Central. That's where I go for metal concerts. Lots of fun times there.
Cleveland has the 2nd best health care in the world 🌍
And with the violent crime rates of some of our neighborhoods being almost 500% above the national average having access to quality healthcare services is an absolute necessity.
@@brandondobz9847 Another Hater EVERY city has bad neghborhoods.. These areas are a small percentage of the metro area.. Why do you you haters ony focus on these?. Ever been to Bay Vilage, Rocky River, Westlake, Gates Mils, Moreland Hills, Hunting Valley, Orange, Pepper Pike. Get a Clue!
Cleveland is shit are marketing is terrible and the white people that see this city as a great city is crazy
Cleveland is shit are marketing is terrible and the white people that see this city as a great city is crazy
@@tima4929Yes, we have been to the upscale, white suburbs. They are not part of the city of Cleveland. Cleveland has higher crime and poverty than many cities. A lot of it is the result of white flight and racist housing practices. Greater Cleveland is one of the most racially segregated cities in the US.
Euclid, maplehts and Eastlake that's it . I've lived here since birth in 69,I know Cleveland just bc the incomes are low or housing is cheap that doesn't mean bad.
Quite accurate. Now we need people smart enough to make proper changes to these massive dumps. How could we start?
Do a video of the worst neighborhoods in Philly. You'll have a very hard time cutting it down to 10
Que cidade maravilhosa e linda !
Gostaria de morar nesse lugar!...
To cold for me. I don't think I would take a free house. This was funny.
Thank you for sharing this video. 😨😰
The real estate agent said it was a "colorful neighborhood."
The neighborhoods in Cleveland I assume would be on your most desirable list (the predominately white and wealthy) are also near train tracks and industrial areas, so I think your problem with the “worst” neighborhoods has to do with something else…
Yes, likely the behavior of its residents.
You need to do a video about the cheapest waterfront areas to live.
Collinwood
Thanks, Briggs!
You bet!
This is very helpful, as my husband and I are lookin for cheap housing and realize we might have to be in "less safe" areas.
Look in Old Brooklyn or Hough
@@thenotoriousmichaeljackson8938 Thanks. We looked in Old Brooklyn first, but we're priced out of that area. The Hough has places we can afford, but most need extensive work, which we couldn't afford. We're still looking, hoping the stupid house market will settle down.
@@loisathenabuhalis1755 have you tried West Boulevard or Bellaire Puritas?
@@danielposlet9519 I did, thanks. The good places disappeared before we could put down an offer. Others were unbelievably trashed or too small. We did find a nice place in East Cleveland, though, and bought it.
@@loisathenabuhalis1755Hope it's worked out well!
It's good people in these neighborhoods doing the best that they can. Go Browns!
Hey Briggs, thanks for the info on Cleveland. I am just wondering, are there any neighborhoods that you have researched that have a lower livability score than 50? If so, how about a post on where these places are?
Not yet
Man you funny asf wit naming these “neighborhoods” 😭. Been in Cleveland my whole life
Grew up in Cleveland off of Miles avenue back in the sixties. My childhood was fantastic. It was a great neighborhood. Can't say that today
Lol you sure can't
Best neighborhoods in Ohio is Sandusky because it’s close is Cedar Point! Second is Loveland Park because it’s close to Kings Island!
😉
I use to live in St. Clair Cleveland it’s not violent but there’s no jobs
Train tracks and industry is what made these neighborhoods ok to live in back in the day.
I'm always here for the comments as they never disappoint.
I’ve been living with n Portland for 30 years. I know you live here. I’m moving to Cleveland in a few months. Why? Because of videos like yours. I would personally like to thank you so much for being so negative about Cleveland. Portland during the 70’s and 80’s used to be just like this. In St Johns my friends bought five houses for 18 grand. Back then people were shot outside their home every night. If you like comfort then that’s great. But to me comfort is industrial parks, train tracks, abondoned buildings and no humans for miles. Portland used to be just like this. Now it’s an expensive white privileged place that has a completely destroyed, crime ridden, crime infested dump compared from what it used to be.
Blame the democrats
Grew up in the Cleveland area (70's-early 80's until USAF NATO trooper just to get out of NE OH) and you do have the neighborhoods sorted but not pronounced correctly. Also when you say "industrial and railroad" you should say "used to be". That's why Cleveland sucks as I sit here in Alaska with my Indians hat on!
Cleveland absolutely sux . Was just back there last year. The town can't run itself.
Thx for your channel!
It's not like it once was, but we still have heavy industry
Those houses look really nice for being in a crime ridden neighborhood. In my country we have iron bars in the windows and broken glass shards on top of the walls or razor wire if you can afford it...This is a middle class neighborhood...In bad neighborhood homes don't have any windows...
Yikes!
I would love to see more of these like Detroit, Cincinnati, and Gavelston.
...and Gary, IN.
@@grimreaper7198 city beautiful did a good video on Gary
Almost every city in America has challenged neighborhoods. That said, the suburbs of Cleveland are awesome. Not sure what is the point of this video.
Point: Worst neighborhoods of Cleveland - a nationally recognized shithole and purveyor of Ohio memes.
@@agolftweetler3995 Nationally, it is an acclaimed city. People hold on to tired jokes and then their opinions are changed once they come to the city.
@@ewilliams1594 'nationally it is an acclaimed city' - no.
Agolf Tweetler, I use to live in Shaker Heights. It’s the most beautiful city I’ve ever lived in. My son goes to a nationally acclaimed university in Cleveland and is choosing to live there because the cost of living is so reasonable. If you’ve never visited the Cleveland area, make a point of it.
@@bethmaccrindle220 sure. 😊
You should make a best U.S. cities for public transportation
Please do a state by sports ranking
The inner city is not good crime is horrible car jackings . We got a new mayor with a young vision so it will become better will take time. And u. Oils come here and get into the city new programs up and coming. If u ever need a property preservation call me I’m T. And we will give you a good price.. Move to Cleveland we are coming back…
Cleveland is not your great pick. But hey, at least traffic is managable.
Briggs is great but not all places near tracks are bad.
How's Maple Heights doing today? I was born in Cleveland and lived in Maple Heights from 1954 to 1966. Back then it was rather bucolic in which kids could leave the house in the morning and have woods to explore, and plenty of safe places to ride a bike and return in the evening for dinner. Always had a dime to call home. Great memories, but haven't been back in years!
this is pretty accurate. buckeye-shaker and glenville get a little wild too
Or you could just have it programmed by itself on East Cleveland there are so many dilapidated homes, and the roads are in intolerable shape, it’s so sad to see cause I grew up there in the 1960s and used to be so nice General Electric‘s Nelia Park still looks stellar though!
I grew up in EC in the 80's/90's. And left just in time!
There's a channel called hoods and hollers and the guy does a drive through some of the worst in the country. He did one in EC that made me cry and so glad I left when I did!
