Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed “The Colbert Report,” which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one third of the time. Good luck, Bill!" - Розваги
Catherine O'Hara should be as famous and celebrated as Meryl Streep. She is absurdly talented.
More than Streep. She's so overrated. She's great don't get me wrong though.
Her and Andrea Martin both. The two of them have more talent than most other women working in comedy, hands down.
Canadian Treasure.
An absolutely BRILLIANT talent
Totally agree!!!
One thousand percent
Catherine O'Hara. A very underrated actress. Highly talented, a legend, an icon!
I always had a crush on Catherine O'Hara, She's a very beautiful woman.
MrJuan310194
Although her chin doesn't stop growing.
And funny. That is part of it for me too.
Me TOO!!
She _was_ hot but in all honesty she isn't anymore. But she's old now so that's to be expected. Life sucks that way, unfortunately.
She was amazing in Beetlejuice lol I like most of her movies and shows tbh I just discovered Schitt’s creek ( I’m from the uk ) and it’s the best show ever 😂
They both still look INCREDIBLE.
Catherine O'Hara is freaking gorgeous and talented !!! Love her
Billy Konstantine
Except for her chin.
@@wallabbywatters6681 Good grief??? So what!! She's older!!! So is he!! They are wonderful!!
@@wallabbywatters6681
Bullshit. There's nothing wrong with her chin. At least she's got one, unlike you. Chinless wonder.
@@pugnacious1
Exactly!
Dude look at her legs. She looks like a holocaust victim
You both make Canada so proud!
Schitts creek was an amazing show! Cast was perfect, story was hilarious, and then there was the shows whole basis.. acceptance.
I loved it from start to finish!
I love these two actors- Schitt's Creek is hysterical! Watch it if you haven't seen it!!
Yes, it's HILARIOUS! And my all time favorite, is the brilliant, layered comedy of where they came from - SCTV!! ua-cam.com/video/LF2jdTQyyyE/v-deo.html
Plan to see it.
That's a Tuesday night comedy on the CBC. These two were also on Over The Hedge.
@@bradgearly I didn't know they were in Over the Hedge! I was thinking about that film a month or so ago because I was watching Omid Djalili at the Royal Variety show on youtube. He voiced the Persian cat who called for "Stellaaaa!", in the style of A Streetcar Named Desire haha.
Their stuff with Christopher Guest (Best in Show, A Mighty Wind, etc...) is absolute gold.
See Orange County movie with Tom Hanks' son...wear diapers! She is hilarious in it.
It’s time Christopher Guest to direct another mockumentary .
Best comedy ever in those movies
@@90sNickfan91 I hope so
I worship Catherine O’Hara. She’s been able to make me laugh helplessly, for decades, just by looking at the camera.
SCTV was the bomb back in the day. Never missed an episode. So much raw talent. I miss John Candy as Johnny LaRue!
Catherine O'Hara was and still is a beautiful woman. And soooo funny on Schitt's. They're both comedy geniuses. 👌🏻
Catherine O'Hara started to say "we tried dating..." before Stephen accidentally interrupted her... I need to hear the rest of that story!
SonOfEire3 Right?? They seem to have a very strong connection.
Lol they did date briefly during their early Second City days in the mid 70s, before the show, but nothing too dramatic happened. He got married in 1977 when SCTV started. :)
You could genuinely see and feel the flattery in their faces when told their told they're comedic heros.
As a 11 and 12 year-old in the late 70s, I had never really experienced comedy until I saw SCTV. It was life-changing! Brilliant stuff!
Sctv apa anjir wkwkwk
Love Catherine and Eugene. So many funny memories. All the way back to SCTV.
Catherine Ohara is UNBELIEVABLE in this project.
she aged very well, beautiful woman
tony22990
You may consult an ophtalmologist.
Or a psychiatrist.
I dunno for a 65yr old woman I think she looks great for her age. She's aged gracefully and beautifully.
What do you mean you _"dunno"?_ You certainly *do* know -- what you have written makes perfect sense, unlike that Wallaby Watters fellow, who has littered this comments page with several other worthless opinions deriding Ms. O'Hara's looks. In his sad state of superficiality, Mr. Watters no doubt expects something more like this: ua-cam.com/video/990OaFr8EYw/v-deo.html
.
@@mikehike596 Yes, and anyone who says mean things about other people's looks needs to put their photo up as well.
Oh yes if anyone has met her there very lucky she has aged beautifully and she is a gorgeous woman and she is just my favourite person ever every time I see her in a movie I’m like hello I want to be there I love Catherine O’Hara so much tho
Catherine is a legend!
I got to see Catherine sing Sally's Song (Nightmare Before Christmas) at Danny Elfman's orchestra performance of his scores for Tim Burton films in Los Angeles. I could've died right there. It was mind blowing. And her performance in Beetlejuice. Omg. She is amazing!
You need to check out Schitts Creek if you haven’t already 😉
Love SCTV! The cast was phenomenal. The skits always made me laugh out loud😂🤣. Enjoy rewatching them on Youtude❤️
Not giving Catherine an Emmy for every single season of this show is a travesty.
Emmy voters didn't even watch the show till covid forced them to sit down and take notice. Then they awarded them everything for season 7. That's my theory. Better late than never.
@@djmotise a lot of times the critics will ignore shows until the last season then give them a bunch of awards in the last one, hoping that'll happen with better call saul
gawd, I remember watching SCTV as a kid in the 70's...so many lines my friends and I would quote at school
Man, they are both so talented AND good-looking!
Mr. Levy is actually seventy-years-old, here.
Schitts creek is amazing love from Scotland
I dont agree with Colbert on most things. But I think weve found common ground here
They are living legends.
And while she's there, her kid is home alone...again
William Cortelyou i was making a joke, referring to the Home Alone series mate ^^
+Nikolai Leerskov Yeah, he may not be a 90's kid :D
Jason Gordon to be honest neither am i ^^
Nikolai Leerskov
Well, at least those who lived through the 90's will probably knew the reference :D
Jason Gordon that's as true as my balls ^^
They are my comedy heroes, too. In Schitt's Creek Eugene finally shows how handsome he is -
Jane Piepes He is so handsome in "Schitt's Creek"!!
It's their show after all ... He must've been like "Phew , no need to dress up like a freak again & time to get those suits Outta my closet!"
Like a Lebanese maestro lol *Moira's voice*
I agree!!! I never thought he was handsome... just couldn't get past the bushy eye brows and the hair style he used to rock, like in splash.... But he is one of those people that get a lot better looking the older they get... the silver in his hair does him well!
#silverfox
@@kimberlyel82 Literally thought it was just me. Been a fan of his forever, never found him attractive, but now? He’s adorable, sexy!
Years ago, I saw Eugene in person at the Canadian Tire at Yonge and Church. He was at the Customer Service Counter.
Love Canadian comedy, Canadian comedians are awesome 🇨🇦🇨🇦✌🏼
Los mejores
Eugene I just adore u I love watching u and I’m so glad you had Catherine O’Hara on Schitt’s Creek because she is absolutely phenomenal thank you all for bringing us laughter tears and I want y’all back🥲
If you love Eugene and Catherine make sure you see 'Over the Hedge' (2006). It's an under-recognized "family" animated movie with great writing, a great cast and plenty of laughs.
Catherine O’Hara is LEGENDARY comedy icon
Yeah for Canada! 🇨🇦 so proud of you and the team of Schitts Creek
Amazing thing that SCTV was on life support and almost didn't happen until a little TV station in Edmonton, the owner of which was a huge fan, brought them there from Toronto. Edmonton was definitely the place to be in the early 80's.
my parents still aren't over those years in the city of champions
Absolute. Class. The both of them. I worship Catherine O'Hara.
When Eugene became a silver fox, he became hot!
Everything is alright in my world when I see Catherine O’Hara, Eugene Levy, Martin Short, Andrea Martin or John Candy (R.I.P.) on the screen. ❤ Adore them all.
Catherine, Eugene, Gilda...legends all.
Martin Short's autobiography I Must Say has lots of great stories about Second City Toronto in the 1970s and growing up in the comedy scene in Toronto with Eugene Levy, Paul Shaffer, Gilda Radner and others. It's also a really good book.
Good to know! I’ll have to add to my list to read. I bet there are tons of interesting details he shares.
He did a fantastic job on his book. Did you listen to him read it?
Man, Catherine O'Hara is so talented when it comes to Schitt$ creek! The way she talks and her facial expressions are completely different than how she is in real life!
Rightfully so! My brother and I quote from SCTV ,still today! Such a great show!
The both of these brilliant comedy greats in Best in Show. Awesome!
SCTV was landmark comedy stuff. They were brilliant writers and preformers. Absolutely brilliant.
Who wouldn't be starstruck sitting next to the FABULOUS LOVE SPIRIT OF LOLA HEATHERTON??? 🌟💓💕💕
Hahahahaha I want to bear your children!!!!
Two of my favorites, LOVE THEM!!
That photo at the end made me feel soo nostalgic!!! Andrea Martin, Dave Thomas, Catherine O'Hara, John Candy, Rick Moranis, Eugene Levy and Joe Flaherty!!! Brings back memories of my grandparents and my parents (;
Thank You Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy
So true! These two are brilliant!!"
I love Catherine so much
legends
Love 'em so much!! Schitt's Creek's the best!
I'm old enough to remember the Second City Television shows on channel 9 WPIX NY in the 1970's. On the their fake news Eugene Levy was... "I'm Earl Cannonbere!" Classic stuff I'll never forget.
+twelge15 Yup,remember them too. Those early syndicated seasons were the half hour ones. The longer ones in the early 80's on NBC were even better, that's when Martin Short joined the cast.
They are the absolute best ! John Candy RIP
So good, clean comedy is super difficult. Makes me miss John candy
Those two wonderful musicians.
These two are a class act, a throwback to a better time like Lucy and Desi.
It's great seeing two Canadians funniest entertainers. Both Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara are recurring collaborators for director's Christopher Guest's films. The former I know him as Noah "Jim's Dad" Levenstein in the American Pie films/spin-offs. The latter I know her as Kate McCallister in the first two Home Alone films starring Macaulay Culkin
KKEEEVVVIIIINNNNNN!!!!! **slumps**
Born and raised in Toronto, after school it was always SCTV time! Had great entertainment back then and thank God it was broadcast via antenna. We could afford cable. All the great stars you know today and many less unknown that always had me laughing. They were all my favorites!
Mitch and Mickey!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Comedy gold! 🇨🇦
I love them both so much!!
Canadian Royalty 🇨🇦 👑 ❤️
I love that Colbert still works with dinello. And its amazing seeing these people and what they contributed to television and comedy alone. well done.
They need to bring this show back!!!
This guy is amazging! He did ALL the American Pie movies!! Such a body of work!
lol, I'm sure those aren't his proudest works
+Dimitri Bitu Can't tell if sarcasm or not. D:
And Christopher Guest movies and SCTV and Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (better than one).
two legends
He said it right,...comedy heroes!! I would love to have seen where "We tried dating,.." was going, and I would have loved to hear what came after Stephen showing them that TV Guide pic of the SCTV cast. It's also great to see them spinning comedy gold together nowadays on Schitt's Creek.
Mitch and Mickey. There's a Kiss and the End of the Rainbow.
Both performances should have been Oscar nominated.
🎶 There's a rainbow in Toronto, where the Maritimers are bold...
They are improv legends. For sure he grew up with them
You have Levy, O'Hara and Colbert on the same stage, and you have 2 comic icons and Colbert.
mentioned Paul Dinello......he was HILARIOUS on "Strangers With Candy"
More of this please! Last season of Schitts creek deserves it ☺️
Comedy elite right here...
His reaction PROVES that Stephen is an honourary Canadian.
I miss John and the Schmengy Brothers
I was the kid in school trying to get others to watch SCTV. It was like a local version of Python and a grittier version of SNL and I loved it dearly.
Bobby Bittman and Lola Heatherton - SCTV was just brilliant
I heard in an interview once that all the SCTV guys had a crush on Catherine
Catherine O'hara and Eugene Levy are perfect on
Schitt's Creek. Magnificent show. And doesn't Catherine have shapley legs ..
God, just...watching these two comedy legends, I can totally see how Stephen was starstruck
Yes indeed. I also love the genuine reactions of Catherine and Eugene to Stephen’s admission of admiration for their work. I agree 💯.
SCTV guys did lotsa voice overs in the original Heavy Metal cartoon! Along with John Vernon...
Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara both appeared in the DreamWorks Animation film Over the Hedge (2006).
awesome!
What awards has she won??? Does she have her own star? She is such an amazing actress.... She is one of those actresses that do such a good job at making their character multidimensional.... Using different accents, hair styles and colors and even have different mannerisms and demeanor. She is one of those actresses that puts her all in every performance. She puts her own spin on all the characters she has played... she is one of those entertainers that are so believable that you sometimes question if it's her or another actress that looks like her lol... she is funny and definitely not recognize enough for not only her acting skills but her beauty as well... I want to know her day and evening facial routine.
She's won an Emmy and lots and lots of Canadian awards. Read the wikipedia on her:

HAPPY 65TH BIRTHDAY CATHERINE O'HARA !!!
Not only was SCTV fabulous, but 1 of the best anti depressants known to man.
Toronto and Chicago are sister City's, very cool.
SCTV is still the greatest comedy variety show.
Mad TV is
Catherine has a nice black dress, nice black tights, nice black high heel shoes, nice makeup, nice jewelry, and nice blonde hair, she looks very beautiful
I live for Catherine O’hara!!! She is so funny in Schitt’s Creek with her accent! Ugh!
I just got into Schitt's Creek and I love it.
SCTV Broads behind bars. Catherine and Eugene as a couple in a classic bit. Look it up.
I wish it was longer it was getting good I was hoping they would talk about John Candy and Rick Moranis
I get how he would starstruck I just wish that John candy was sitting there with them and then the circle would be completed
SCTV was absolutely brilliant - Johnny and Moira are clearly Bobby Bittman and Lola Heatherton!
My comedy heroes too. "But Clay, all they want is sex - and that's all I give them." Do miss John Candy though.
OK, I would literally KILL to have Eugene's hair.
I'll be the getaway driver if I can get his eyebrows.
@@stellamary204 😂😂😂👍🏻
Well he’ll probably try to kill you if you try to touch it
Bobby Bittman and Lola Falana WOW
