Nice spotlight, I like the emphasis on different levels of Japanese comprehension. Now I just need to get the confidence to actually talk to people instead of just "practicing listening" by sitting ontop of the buildings in Popiyoko (pigeon moding)
Thanks! I wanted to install VRchat but didn't know where to start or what server to play. Your video gave me a way to practice both my English and Japanese, given that I do not even speak with anyone in my native language 🤣
it's my pleasure! ✌️ ENJP has been a really influential world for my language ability so I appreciate you guys for making and maintaining the world! keep up the good work ✨
I've been using JPT and Fujiyama and it's honestly the best Japanese speaking practice I've had so far, thanks for your recommendation, I'll check them out!
Super high quality content right here! I'm really interested in learning Japanese (guess watching too much anime does this to you, haha), and didn't even know about these VRChat worlds that are actually meant to help you learn. Thank you!!
Nice video! I was actually planning on getting back on vrc to practice speaking, because I haven’t done much in a while. I appreciate the list of worlds!

(and like others said I'm claiming my before fame ticket)
thanks for the video im neither a native english speaker and japanese speaker, and i also dont have experience in vr, but i always wanted to improve my japanese speaking skills and make jp friends, so i will give en jp world a try. what i learned from travel to japan before was that, understanding sources like songs, dramas, and vtuber streams are totally different with making a real time conversation with japanese people. its like, i can maybe easily order a food at izakaya, or talk to staff, but cant even speak 20 seconds with some ojisan next table. i just cant print out my mind in a japanese sentence.
enjp is definitely a good environment to get the ball rolling, you just gotta keep speaking to get more confident! also ojisans don't count 😭 I think they're unintelligible for a lot of natives speakers too
Nice vid. Might have to try vr to get more practice in even though I'm out here in Japan, sometimes topics that I want to talk about just never come up in daily situations. Lol
yeah! especially in nagisa you can basically like pick out one topic and keep on talking about that with all kinds of different people 👌 I think it's really helpful and it's good repetition
lmao ママパパです I'll be whatever you want me to be ;) On a serious note, how do you not have more subscribers? あなたの動画はとてもいいですね I have been learning Japanese for one year. I was in a bit of a unique situation where I did not have electronics or internet AT ALL for the first 10 months of my learning. all I had was textbooks, so I couldn't practice conversational at all. So my reading and writing is WAY better than speaking. I just bought a quest 3, and I think going into VR Chat is going to help me a lot!
@@itsCatMeme37 thank you so much for the kind words♥️♥️ i hope you can find good friends and improve your speaking in vrchat! I also wasn't good at conversation for years before vrchat, it definitely helps!!
@nerazawa Part of it is my desire to remain an introvert. I can get lost in reading and writing practice for hours and hours at a time and be perfectly happy doing it, but suggest that I SPEAK with a real person and the anxiety is too much. ESPECIALLY in a language that I don't have a good grasp in. But the funny thing is, that's one of the things that attracts me to Japanese culture is that people typically aren't overbearing and trying to touch and talk to you all the time like they are in America.
@@itsCatMeme37 yeah, all of these are just suggestions, please don't push yourself too much!! 🙇♀️ I'm ambivert so it really depends on my mood, so if I don't feel like talking I can just spam そうなんだ or なるほどね and I'll be fine most of the time lol
@nerazawa lol. そうなんだ. Japan's version of "uh huh. uh huh. yeah. makes sense. uh huh. I want you to stop talking to me but I don't want to be rude." Anyway, maybe I will run into you in some of these worlds. where do you hang out the most?
I'm mostly in ENJP because that's where most of my friends are 👋 I'm also sometimes in Fujiyama (to demolish people in Othello) or Nagisa but definitely less than ENJP
I am learning English now. So, I wonder that I try VR chat....I've thought VR chat is great for learning launguages previously. Thanks for your video, I want to begin VR chat!! Thank you!
Thanks for the recommendations. I was looking for some places to practice my outputting skills in VRC and these look good. Are JP people ok with foreigners in worlds like Nagisa/Fujiyama? In the past, trolls from other countries have made a lot of JP people leave regular publics so I was wondering if some people have an issue with them or if you've run into anything like that?
personally I didn't run into issues a lot, a lot of people just get curious but in my experience it's fine as long as you speak some amount of Japanese 👍
nagisa is so awesome. a random guy at fujiyama showed it to me. tho it is kinda sad that almost every conversation you have resorts to talking about countries/ where you are from/ differences between japan and ypur country, etc. i'm not mad about it since im hardly an N2, but the amount of speaking you can do there is veeeery big.
yeah in my experience Nagisa ends up being a bit repetitive in terms of topics (which is good for learning) but you definitely gotta switch it up from time to time for sure
Some time in 2022 I think they replaced Dynamic Bones with PhysBones, PhysBones were made specially by the VRC devs and not only do they allow you to interact with other players but they're a lot lighter on performance.
Not sure how's it these days but If anyone's looking for ppl to talk in JPT I would recommend those who are on the 2nd floor. They're usually more chill from my experience.
Two questions. 1.I admit I am interested for using a VR headset for trying to improve my Japanese but I was also wondering if you have heard of other places that are good for practicing Korean, Portuguese, Italian or other languages. 2.Have you tried Neos for any of this or does it not compare?
For portuguese there's Cruzeiro Brasil, I think There's always some Brazilians hanging around, but I can't guarantee that they'll know english too lmao

That is some fluent english right there, thanks for the video, will probably grind some more duolingo and then start hopping into some of those worlds.
