Lowe's Home Improvement 😁Yes.
Continue this series !!!
Awesome!
Top quality content right there. Perfect mix of creativity, passion, personality and EDITING. This guy can have his own channel with this winning formula. Keep it up!
Came for the diy, stayed for the host.
I love his Character and enthusiasm!
robotsneedlove charming too
Before you painted the wood, it looked like cells from tissue that you would see under a microscope. 🔬 😂
Just googled it...you're right!! It's those red centers.
More like slices of ham lmao
After it was painted it kind of reminded me of the tests they use to see if you're colorblind at the eye doctor....lol. I wonder how long it actually took to complete?
I liked it after it was painted. The colors look great, kind of like a Wes Anderson vibe
thanks for taking the time to do this project. its fun to see it come together...
I hated the design before the paint and then I loved it! It looked odd and off kilter, but I think it was just two vastly different types of wood. The paint pulled it all together. What I was thinking was you could just tint all the logs so you'd see the beautiful grain as well. *Shrugs* Hope more walls are designed soon!
Looks like the online color blind tests😂 but still looks sick
So glad you painted...before it looked like Bologna on the wall with the woods natural red tones. I like it!
Ha! The Meat Wall 🤢
I could've stopped at the regular wood but I really love the painted look too wow.. it's mesmerizing
Love the natural look! Thanks for showing the option for those who rent or don't want a something permanent.
Please do the string art wall next that seams like it would be so cool
It's still high on my list, Avromi!
Lowe's Home Improvement good can't wait it's gonna look awesome
How many walls do you have left? :D I love all your videos!
In this design I would stop with the raw wood. Just because I love wood :D.
I'm making natural wooden toys over on my channel!
Awesome videos, Jolien!! My boys would freak out over some of those handmade toys. Let me know if you try something fun (and probably wooden) on a wall...would love to feature you on our #LowesWallsOfFame!
Thanks for checking out and the nice words!
Need to think about that :). But I don't have a blank wall haha :D.
Is it always the same wall you are working on or?
Yep! Well, kinda. It's the same stud framing, but I've replaced the drywall a couple times so far.
It would also have been cool to use Sherwin Williams' Color Snap app to color match that pinky hue on the cedar pieces, and then used that to create a color story by finding their suggested coordinating colors. I am absolutely in love with that app!
I'll have to check that out, Bailey...sounds useful!!
That looked so good at the end; It looked like granite graining! I'm so glad you did the removable option. I never would have considered that...
I would have left it natural. But, you did an amazing job!! That was a lot of work 😲
So amazing. Wasn't sure about it before it's painted. Love the colored version!
Loved it before the addition of paint. I'm doing one in my truck camper and I'll leave it natural and seal it well. Also, I'll be leaving the bark on. Using pine instead of cedar. Cedar sheds terribly. Might stencil a few botanical images here and there on them before sealing. Great video. Thank you for sharing.
Love all the designs so far. Painted is definitely a win!
Loved this project, loved the colors... Most of all loved how you kept some natural pieces!
I wasn't feeling this too much until you showed what different tones of the same color would have looked like. I think i'm obsessed with the idea of varying depths because I think that would work here too. Very creative work!
It looked even better after you painted it!! Personally I would have used a more traditional looking wood but that was lovely!
That looks gorgeous! the painted version is unbelievable
I would have stopped before painting because it looks soo natural cool. Excellent video and great job Daniel 💯
Thanks man. I was tempted to stop there myself (I shot an alternate ending just in case the paint looked horrible, lol), but it's hard to get rid of an idea! Had to try it.
Lowe's Home Improvement sometime we can't stop ourselves 😂
what time of number do you use? ( I day about wood with red center)
This has got to be the best series Lowe's has gotten so far
Your enthusiasm is really refreshing. Love your videos!
The choices are endless! Great job!
Won me over with the painted design sir! Good series.
Sooo cool! Great job! It has a Pointillism effect! So soothing to the eyes 😌
I didn't know that actually had a name 🤓 Glad you liked it, Sulema.
THIS GUY IS VERY ENTERTAINING, FUNNY (in a Good Way, not in a Stupid way like some are) AND SOOOOO INFORMATIVE!!!
love the painted version!!!
Yes painted!! 💯
You're really the Wall Man, Daniel. I'm binge watching all your videos and love them all. Cheers from the Philippines 🇵🇭
Before painting the cedar looked like ham slices on the wall
Cool technique to use as a wall mounted headboard. Great video and host
You are so hilarious and fun to watch. And this series has been great!! Cool to see lots of different ways to tackle the same space
I thought I was gonna prefer the wood, but the color totally sold me. I would've preferred a monochromatic, or the shades of pink/red you previewed at 8:00
I love the painted version. Tones of the same color would be amazing
I loved the mosaic look!! Awesome work!!
Awesome job, Daniel!
These are really excellent; you need to do all 4 from the last vid though! Excited for #1 and #3.
Such a dope wall. Love the monochromatic blue option you showed at the end. This might actually be a great idea for my man cave!
I really liked the look before the paint but after I loved it! It looks like pebbles to me
So Beautiful!!!! Will try when I move!
great dear, I was waiting for no 3,
Gosh I like them both... But agreed looks like it will take a TON of patience. I bet the cedar smells AMAZING!!
Like a heavenly forest 😌 Glad you enjoyed it, Craig!
BRO!!! This came out SO awesome! Your color choice was epic! Thanks!!!
Thanks man! I was a little nervous about the colors & it certainly ain't everyone's cup of tea, but I'm loving it!
I need more of these! You're doing such a great job and you're so entertaining! Keep it up!
Appreciate it, Christoph...I'm working on the next one!
I love it with the paint!
if you ever wanted to change the mood of the room any time in the future, there are some spaces left within the slices that you could attach tinier woods as a filler and paint it with a pop of color maybe navy blue or something.
Perhaps paint 4 colors in certain patterns using a roller. Then you'd have more going on design wise... the relief of the wood, the straight lines/pattern of the paint, the rounds that got color AND wood grain onto the same round, then the ones that were left all wood grain and then the ones that got all paint. That would have been interesting, too. But I loved this one too.
It looks so cool after the painting ☀️^☀️.. an Idea to through here .. a portrait painting or a deer drawing or a symbol will be awesome if it done in a such way ..
If I have ever own a house .. I might do one of your projects .. but for now I will try this on a canvas...
Another cool spin on this one would be to cut the log pieces different depths on the wall to enhance the 3d look!
Amazingly brilliant!! Excellent...thanks.
I would love to do this as a floor without the paint. Possibly something to fill in the cracks and make a shinny polyurethane kind of thing??
Before he painted the circles.....No. after? Oh yes.💣!
But you could just paint circles on the wall insted of all that cutting.
Haha, well that'd just be too easy 😜 There's something next-level about the 3D factor and the raw wood grain on the sides of the slices...but that's a good labor-friendly alternative!
LOL... LOVE THAT INTRO AND LOVE YOU...
Glad somebody likes my cheesy jokes 🤓
I love these videos/walls
Awesome love it... Good idea...
I'm waiting for the next ep!!!
I'm seeing a lot of preference for the raw wood but I personally liked the painted one better!
Really enjoyed this! You are a great designer!
Before seeing it painted, I would have been one of the "clearcoat it and call it good" crowd, but that paint job really made it pop!
For other color ideas, Adobe's online color picker (color dot adobe dot com) lets you pick a base color, then can auto-pick 4 other colors based on whichever rule you want - if you want complementary colors, or a color triad, etc. It's just on-screen so it won't line up directly with what you'll have on your wall, but it can at least guide you in which colors to look at :)
Whaaaaat. How have I not known about that tool?!? The whole concept of color and how our eyes process them is just fascinating to me. Thanks for sharing!!
You are great dude.
Greetings from Germany/Bulgaria
Keep it up
i bet the wall smells amazing, cedar is one of my favorite woods because of the smell
It did!
I like it painted because I didn't like the redish center of the one logs.
But, I love how it looks with the paint. So amazing. I may have to try this as well. XP
Try it, Jerod! Lots of other paint combos you could do...I wanna see what you come up with!!
The colors looks like a “color blind” test. I like both ways!
this is trippy and i love it
Wow such a great idea, the colored version reminded me of those blindcolor tests. Great job anyways!
I’ve watched this video about 5 times, each day lol. I can’t wait to try it!
the color kinda threw me I like the natural wood & it's not really my taste but it looks good just busy for me
This looks amazing
Great look! Much prefer the au naturel look personally, but great DIY nonetheless. You make it look so easy!
I’m glad u painted it cause it looked like ham for real 😳 😂
Amazing job!
definitely looks better with paint!
Total winner...great original project and charming host! Love this series! MORE PLEASE!
Can you give a rough estimate of project cost for each wall?
Three thoughts = (1) Interesting wall covering...I like both the raw wood wall & the painted. (2) Would it be easier to paint the pieces before gluing them on or would it be frustrating to figure what you want where. (3) Living in the Southwestern USA this house proud (as the Brits say) gal might find it frustrating to keep such a wall dust/dirt free.
I just stumbled on this series and have watched all of them in one sitting. This wall is now my weekend project for an awesome yet rustic backdrop in my office. Did I miss the place I can download that seal to pop on my thumbnail?
Welcome to the party, Jacob! And no, you didn't miss it. I was just going to send directly as people submitted, but sounds like you're ready to roll! Here's a temporary file download link: we.tl/Ajb0p29GWf Can't wait to see it!
Great job nice !!
Amazing is right love it
Maaaaan !!
Thank you so much, that's what I voted for
Amazing work I'm definitely doing that
The only thing I'll do different is staining the plywood before screw in the wall, even the wood slice I would definitely stain it before glue it in the wall I think it will work if you're doing one color
Again thank you for
You got it, man! Glad you enjoyed. And you could totally stain/paint before putting them up. I even thought pouring the stain into a plastic storage container and dipping the slices into the stain might save some time. If you end up trying it, don't forget to get some kind of video...I wanna see it!
2:19 had me rollin all your projects look great! going to faux my wall LOL
Love it! The colours are amazing. Although I'd have liked you to have done the wall 3. I'll try the 3 proyect in the entrance at next month.😬
I do wanna try that stacked trim project...let's see who gets it done first!! Oh, and don't forget to record some kind of video for the #LowesWallsOfFame 🎥
Looks great natural
Love it! Excited for next.
Thanks man. What do you wanna see next? Any requests?
Lowe's Home Improvement I'm working on a home remodel and want to get some trim on the walls! I say you tackle the stacked trim idea or something incorporating Venetian plaster!
I love it! I hope we can see more from you :-)
Thanks for the amazing videos! Would I be able to apply this plywood base and glue technique to the faux brick wall tutorial? I like the idea of a non-permanent wall, and then you wouldn't have to caulk in all the nail holes.
Absolutely! I think that'd work great. You'll just want to be careful that you don't knock the bricks out of level while the adhesive fully sets. It grabs instantly so they're not gonna fall off, but it's repositionable for 10 minutes. If you can, get some kind of video of the project...we'd love to see it!!
Nice I have been looking for, lantern would be best idea on this wall to put on.
I think the wall turned out great. The final product was good but I preferred the natural wall.
So cool! Feeling inspired. I'll definitely do a video.
Yesss!! Let's see it, Lina!
Ahh a new episode!'
Just for you, +abel van oirschot.
"Oh, how naive I was!" = how this gal feels ten minutes into most projects! LOL
Looks like dippin dots 😋
great video. another great wood is birch . no bark removal
Personally I'm a big fan of the natural wood. I would have broken out the chainsaw too for some bigger ones! Maybe I'll work on my own and post the link! Great job - Love the videos and inspiration! Keep it up
Do it, Annette! Just be safe with that saw 💪
interesting idea. i love the mosaic idea.
I really like the look of it, but find it kinda overwhelming.. BUT a large art piece on a wall like 4x5 ft. would be dope!
very nice ideas
