VIDEO NOTE: Thankfully copyright was a bit more kind for this video. I only had to mute about a minute of video this time instead of over the 6 minutes I had to mute for part 1. *Also, if anyone is a bit irked I split the finale up into two videos, there are very good reasons for that. I had a very difficult time with the season 1 finale reaction with copyright having two episodes in one video and I had to cut way more than I wanted. So I thought this would be better to give you all as much of my reaction as possible by splitting it up. It was originally one video, but then I changed my mind. I'm genuinely sorry if you were expecting the full finale, but I had good intentions splitting them up.* Also as a reminder there will be a post-series livestream on Sunday June 12 at 11AM EST! So please feel free to come by with any questions for me and for chit chat about Gravity Falls. Going to check out the physical copy of Journal 3 and watch Between the Pines! And if you can't make it the livestream will be posted on the channel to watch any time! Thanks for clicking on the video and watching everyone! This is the very last Gravity Falls Reaction! Remember if you enjoy the reaction please give the video a like and leave comments! I love seeing all your thoughts on Gravity Falls! Thanks again for all the support! CIPHER UPDATE: Before Bill fades away when Stan punches him, he says a backwards message and it translates to, “A-X-O-L-O-T-L. My time has come to burn, I invoke the ancient power that I may return.”. The key word for this part, “AXOLOTL” can be seen on the bottom left corner of the inside of the shack after we see Dipper break down the door. The end credits cipher decodes to, “GOODBYE GRAVITY FALLS.” and the cipher on the end picture decodes to, “FADED PICTURES BLEACHED BY SUN, THE TALE’S TOLD, THE SUMMER’S DONE. IN MEMORIES THE PINES STILL PLAY ON A SUNNY SUMMER’S DAY.”. There’s one final cipher on one of the bus seats. It can be solved by using a Vigenere cipher, but the problem with that one is that fans had to simply guess what the key would be. The key ended up being, “HIDDEN DEEP WITHIN THE WOODS A BURIED TREASURE WAITS” and the final message decodes to, “SECRETS LOST AND STATUES FOUND BEYOND THE RUSTY GATES”. When you combine the key with the solved cipher, you’ll get what started the famous CIPHER HUNT.
It'd be awesome if Bill became a minor villain or at least an easter egg/throwaway gag in some other show made by one of the Gravity Falls creators or their friends.
My only complaint is that it ended too soon for me. But it wasn't my call. Alex paced it the way he felt would be best. As he has said, "if you leave the fans wanting more, you ended it well."
Fun fact Alex created a irl mystery hunt for fans to have 1 last mystery to solve by having an actual Bill statue somewhere in the state the show takes place there is many videos explaining it so I won’t get into major detail so if you want to know more you can watch one of the videos explaining the whole thing.
I started watching this show when it was still airing in like 2013, I've watched it through at least 10 times at this point, how the hell does the finale still make me cry every time
Same. I started watching shortly before the end so I got to experience the finale with everybody else. I still tear up as well and that multiple times during the episode.
thank you mikey for letting us re-experience gravity falls with you..ive been watching your reaction videos since you started gravity falls and its been a joyful 7 months because of that im gonna miss this so much..cuz this show was my childhood..it always will have a special place in my heart and now your a part of it too.. cant wait for the livestream tho... once again, thank you for everything byeeee
Aww thank you so much! That's incredibly sweet of you to say. It has been one of the most fun things I have ever done in my four years of content creation
you think it would be Dipper, but No. he almost killed the shooting star. out of all the characters to kill off, she is the Last person we would even think would die
@@frozenfiredarknight3764 if you think about it, Dipper and Mabel are parallels to Ford and Stanley. Mabel and Stan, the more irresponsible fun twin, having to be chosen is oddly scary and fitting.
@@NovaStorm0506 That, too! When Stan makes Dipper put up signs, leading him to the journal. And later, Bill says it in "Sock Opera" just before he snatches Dipper's body.
Fun fact: the bus driver isvoiced by Kyle MacLachlan, best known for his role as Dale Cooper in Twin Peaks, which is basically "Adult Gravity Falls". A small town in the northwest where mysterious things happen, full of quirky inhabitants. Twin Peaks was also referenced way back in episode 4, when Dipper meets Gideon at a restaurant and it's modeled after an iconic Twin Peaks set.
No matter how many times I have watched this series, I tear up with Dipper's monologue at the end about the little place called Gravity Falls, and the letter.
Back in 2016 when the show finale aired, everyone my age was obsessed with this show. Not only that, but the final episode aired just a few weeks before my 13th birthday, so it was extra emotional for me. Now as a 19 year old about to leave for college, fallowing your reactions has been like reliving the show for me, and it has been so bittersweet and nostalgic to watch. I just wanted to say thank you so much for reacting to this show, and I cannot wait for the live stream!
Makes sense, honestly. Anything with the Gravity Falls name attached is bound to draw views, but I'm guessing Disney figures a show about two old men won't draw in NEW viewers, especially kids. There's no character for a kid to self insert as.
@@bluflavouredpudding alex has also said he wants and has an idea for a gravity falls video game but disney isn't interested and they own the ip so they have final say.
Disney was *so* restrictive with Alex when it came to adding anything LGBT to this show, like he wanted to have an elderly sapphic couple in the Cupid episode and for Cupid to be wearing a different, more inclusive necklace, but Disney refused and made them remove those storyboards completely. But they still pushed through in the end and made Sheriff Blubs and Deputy Durland a couple. I'm sure some of the higher ups thought some of their moments in the first season were just for laughs, like them in the episode with President Sir Lord Quentin Trembley III, and Alex was just sitting back like :) they're going on a romantic vacation :)
Well you know the Mouse. In the end, they are a business, and they have to appeal to the majority, and from what I gather the majority of western adults are against the idea of LGBT being viewed by kids.
I literally CANNOT watch the ending and/or listen to the credit's song without getting extremely close to crying or straight up crying, i just CANNOT, its IMPOSSIBLE
I'm late, but I loved your reactions to the series! It was so much fun to see how much you enjoyed it and how you really grasped the central themes of the show (you'd be surprised how many people don't get the family aspect of it). And the reactions themselves also improved (especially once you started doing one episode per video). This episode is great. Once again some amazing visuals, music and a satisfying ending. I love this show. In a way, I also like that the Zodiac didn't work. It would have been cool to see, but what they did with Ford and Stan instead was really good and fit the theme of the show. Additionally, it's a fun way to use the "power of friendship" trope. Because, in a sense, the Zodiac (a spell which everyone has to hold hands and be friends) IS a "power of friendship defeats bad guy with magic" thing. HOWEVER. It's not easy to be friends with everyone and not fight, as Stan and Ford demonstrated. As such, the usually kind of cheap "power of friendship" move was too hard for our cast to pull off and they had to resort to a path with more sacrifice. 5:24 Honestly, this moment when Bill starts counting down which twin he'll kill is horrifying to me. Imagine being Dipper and Mabel in that situation. Not wanting to die, but knowing your twin will if you don't and you only have seconds until it happens. Pure terror. 7:40 "Guess I was good for something after all." This is so sad. It's just one line, but it shows us so much about how Stan feels about himself. Which... isn't great. If someone think sacrificing themselves is the only thing they're good for then they have some very worrying self-worth issues. Luckily, his family is there to remind him that he's important to them. 10:16 (that gasp, haha) I remember that, during my first watch, I found it a bit cheap that Stan got his memory back, but, by now, I have changed my mind completely. I am SO glad he the memories came back! Fiddleford proves you can remember things even after erasing them with the gun (so it's not like it comes out of nowhere) and, additionally, after the life Stan's had, he deserves good things. I don't care if it's cheesy, I just want him to be happy. 10:58 Don't be ridiculous, *everyone* is going to need therapy. 14:14 It's never actually confirmed, but given the sorry state the photo is in it's a popular fan theory that Ford carried it around with him throughout the entirety of the 30 years he was stuck between dimensions. 17:31 I love how Ford was ready to SHOOT a guy so he would let his niece take her pig on the bus. I mean Stan was going to beat him, but the sifi-gun is a whole different threat level.
While this is a great stopping point, if you ever yearn for a bit more Gravity Falls, remember there's all the shorts as well. Dipper's Guide to the Unexplained, Fixin' it with Soos, and Mabel's Scrapbook.
There is also a series of comics that did like four-five more stories if one is interested. Even came across a fan dub of it here on UA-cam once. Was pretty interesting! Just a little more Gravity Falls even after the show ends
To quote you at the end there, "I can't believe it's over." Been a genuine blast re-watching the series with you, your enthusiasm and commentary for Gravity Falls was really great.
i’ve gone through the gravity falls journey with so many reactors now & i loved being able to do it with u as well. when i first watched it when it came out, i had no idea it would become one of my favorite shows. thank u for letting us relive the first feelings we ever had watching these episodes.
If you want Mikey there are two more videos you should check out. One is for an episode of a Disney Channel short series Broken Karaoke where Mabel sings her parody of Call Me Maybe. The another one is the full version of Bill’s song released by Alex Hirsh in honor of Gravity Fall’s 10 year anniversary!
This was such an amazing journey, the gravity falls series is sure to leave an impact. The ending is one of the best parts. I love the message and I love that Stan and Ford finally go on their adventure. Thank you for watching this, it made me re-experience it better than watching the show again. And then now: The Cipher Hunt! The biggest world wide ARG. Sadly it's already over ofcourse but it's still a really cool thing that gravity falls did
Not only was it nice to relive the show again, it was fun seeing the reactions of a first time viewer (and also difficult not to mention spoilers) I'm glad you enjoyed the show as much as many of us fans do.
God, this show is amazing. I always loved it as a kid, and I still do now. P.s: I love how there’s a decent amount of evidence that Bill is alive somehow and watching, especially with his statue just vibing in Gravity Fall’s forest. I remember when I started watching you when I saw your “Into the Bunker” video from Gravity falls season 2, wild. I’d suggest watching Adventure time which is another amazing show with a scary villain
I'm really gonna miss this reaction series, it's always bittersweet when a series ends, but this show is so good, and it's ending is so well done. This last part is just so heartfelt and emotional. But I'm excited to see what you do next :)
I legit was very sad at the end of reaction. It's been weird not watching GF for the last few weeks, but I'm excited to be starting other stuff. Looking forward to Amphibia and watching more Owl House
It's been a journey with you, man. And I'll tell you, one thing that helped your channel grow this fast was because you definitely chose the right show to react to, combined with your genuine reactions that really hooked me to follow you through the entire show. I'm sure you'll grow more even with this show being finished already, because you're one of the realest genuine reactors I've seen and that alone can help you. Good luck with your youtube journey, Mikey :D
After 6 years this is still one of my favourite endings for a cartoon ever. It was my favourite up until just a month ago when the finale to Amphibia aired.
sad its over, ill miss looking forward to seeing your reaction to gravity falls, but im glad you got the chance to experience this amazing show. thank you for bringing us along with you on this amazing journey!! im looking forward to whatever shows you react to next!
Watching reaction videos for Gravitt Falls is so heartwarming. I remember being a kid and loving this show, and now, reliving it and seeing people go through the journey that made a mark in my life, it makes me cry because of happiness :''''
This is one of the best shows I've ever seen. It sucks that it has ended but still it it worth it. Because this show has so much heart and respect for the characters and us watching. I would recommend Avatar - the Last Airbender if you haven't seen. It also has wonderful character development and a great story. It is a show I personally rewatch every year because it is just that good!
Gravity Falls has now been a part of myself for half of my life. I remember its first release in June 2012 when I was 10 years old. Now I’m 20 and love this show even more than I ever have in my entire life. To be honest, over the past year and a half, I’ve learned a lot about the most famous stuff about this show that I somehow never knew about. I learned about all of the hidden ciphers, creator Alex Hirsch’s inspiration for Gravity Falls, and the famous Cipher Hunt. That might have been my reason for loving it even more. I truly believe that Gravity Falls is a cartoon that needs to be experienced by EVERYONE and for several reasons. This is a cartoon that’s more adult than children because of some imagery that would likely be scary for children and so many jokes that would be easy for adults to understand. Also that makes this show just extremely hilarious. It has so many characters that are so relatable and loveable, some of them having character development, where you learn more about them and making them more important than you could possibly imagine. There are so many emotional moments that will just get you so attached to it and will likely make you feel the same way that the characters feel. This show has a huge theme of growing up especially if you're close to becoming a teenager or an adult. I’d finished my first year of being a teenager and close to graduating middle school when the series officially ended, so that truly has to be a huge impact for myself personally. And lastly, you could all have a chance to crack the case. You can build your own fan theories, search for all of the ciphers that are hidden everywhere, and try to be just like Dipper Pines and always have a mystery to solve. If seeing Gravity Falls is a whole new experience for you, then I highly recommend doing these following things. Buy the collector’s edition of the complete series, watch the whole series, watch the behind the scenes documentary “One Crazy Summer” and the behind the scenes special “Between the Pines”, buy a Dipper hat, Mabel sweater, or Stan’s fez, rewatch the series with audio commentary from creator Alex Hirsch and others who put their effort into creating Gravity Falls, buy a copy of Journal 3, and lastly learn about the famous Cipher Hunt. Anyway, Gravity Falls is such a special show. The biggest thing that this show has probably taught me is that you should always be careful about who you trust. Gravity Falls will forever hold a very special place in my heart for as long as I live. As a matter of fact, I’m starting to get emotional just by typing all of this down. Especially since Gravity Falls is about to celebrate its 10th anniversary and creator Alex Hirsch is close to celebrating his birthday “618”. This is truly a cartoon that will live forever. Now if all of you will excuse me, I have to go rewatch the series for the “ka-zillionith” time! - Christopher Kuhlmann
thanks for a great two seasons of reactions!! I'm excited to watch more reactions on your channel, this gravity falls journey has been a blast to follow you through!! :D
Just finished watching you react to the whole of gravity falls and I'm so glad I got to find this channel. Your reactions have the perfect mix of commentry and interest and I really think your channel will blow up so I hope the best for you!
And to think after this, the cipher hunt started. The cipher hunt involved finding the real life bill cipher statue. Clues would be hidden around the country to find the statue. One clue even went as far as Japan. I suggest watching blameitonjorge analysis on the whole cipher hunt.
I started watching this series of you reacting to Gravity Falls on Monday, assuming you had finished the show. Turns out, I was just timing things perfectly since I just got to the end here today. Was a great time watching you look through this show. It's so good and I'm glad more people are getting to experience it.
Ohh what a journey! I met your channel with gravity falls and I'm gonna stay here for as long as you keep doing videos and reacts. I always cry when I watch this finale because I hate goodbyes and this one was so hard for me and still is. Thank you Mikey!
Since you're checking out Between the Pines, try to watch One Crazy Summer too! It's a documentary made in 2018 and is a look back at the show with brand new interviews with the crew. It's 2 hours so you might need to do another stream on a later date, or you could just check it out on your free time. Also, time to add in Amphibia to your list so you can complete the golden trilogy of Disney shows since you're already doing Owl House. The main director of GF is the creator
This show completely remolded my view of cartoons, it was what introduced me to fandom, and has made me happier than just about anything else. I’m so glad you watched it and am so glad you reacted so us old fans could vicariously see it with fresh eyes. Happy 10th anniversary in 5 days, Gravity Falls
I was so glad to discover this TV show with you ! You have a so good energy 👍. My gosh, this ending made me cry so much, but what a TV show.❤️And we have to move on like our favorite twins. See you for the next reaction !😊
It's not quite over yet, read journal 3 it will complete the story with some additional lore & fun stuff. Once the show was over i ended up watching all the small extra videos disney put out as well as enjoying reading the fanmade art books and other things. 10 years later i'm still enjoying rewatching & finding new merchandise to the show.
With Bill’s last words I’d say one day we may get a new show that takes place in this universe. Because as Bill said “ I invoke the ancient powers that I may return”. The magical AXOLOTL grants all wishes.
I have two theories if Bill will ever return: the first one is that he would come back in a different form and the second one is that he is in Stanley’s mind but in shambles, and when the time is right, he would fix himself, and get out of Stan’s mind (because he shouted the deal’s off before getting locked in Stan’s mind, and he can only enter the mind through deals (then again he might break that rule, since it’s clear to me that he doesn’t care)) and back into the stone of himself that was left behind (because that was his physical form)
Hey Mikey. I'm a long-time watcher, I started on your channel when you started the Gravity Falls reactions. It's been a great 7 months. I love your content. I haven't commented before. I kept thinking about it, but then you said you weren't reading comments from names you didn't recognize. But I figured, whether you read it or not, it's worth it to let you know that you're one of the best creators on UA-cam. Keep doing what you do.
Aww this means the world to me. Thank you! I never thought I would have so many people love the content that I’ve been making, so I appreciate you saying this :)
As mentioned in Weirdmageddon 3 the finale had to be split up (for syndication) because it was the only way Disney would allow a double-length episode to air, at least in the US. Also Stan didn't get his memory back right away as it took over a week of persistence and help from the family (Mcgucket included) for it to happen. Speaking of which (and someone can correct me if I'm wrong) I believe Alex said in an interview that if he was going for an Emmy he would've had Stan not recover his memories but that's not where he wanted the show to go direction wise. He also said if he had more episode run-time he would've taken more time with the recovery process, but it was more important to get to the bus scene with everyone saying goodbye than being shocking for the sake of being shocking. For the last time (unless the fandub of Lost Legends is reacted to, which I hope it is) here's some episode trivia (courtesy of the GF wiki): -The name of the episode given during pitching was Twindependence Day, a play on the name of the 1996 American science fiction action film Independence Day. -Originally there was plans for an epilogue episode to follow up after the events of Weirdmageddon. The episode would follow Dipper and Mabel packing and reminiscing about their time in Gravity Falls. Blendin would then appear and warn them about time anomaly bubbles still floating around the town. Eventually the twins somehow fall into one and are transported to the first day they arrived in Gravity Falls (before the events of Tourist Trapped). They see how much they were not excited about being there and see how far they had come in their development. The idea was eventually not used and Blendin's fate would end up being different as well as the twins' final days in the town. -Alex imagines Pacifica got a part-time job at Greasy's Diner after losing the mansion. In an interview he said "In the Shmeb-you-unlocked page, the vigenère code on the side says, "Got a waitress job at Greasy's diner after the summer ended. Thinks about the Pines twins every day." -Some cut scenes from the credits sequence (made by Emmy Cicierega who said doing it made her feel less sad about the show ending) include Dipper, Mabel and Soos playing in the mud during the rain as an unamused Stan watches and gets soaked in some when they jump into a puddle, Dipper, Mabel and Soos getting marker tattoos from Wendy and Tats giving them a thumbs up, Mabel learning McGucket's dance moves, Dipper, Mabel and Wendy racing down a hill in a shopping cart while being chased by Blubs and Durland in another shopping cart, Dipper braiding Mabel's hair in an awkward way which Mabel finds amusing, Mabel falling while spinning Dipper around on a tire swing with his hat landing on her head backwards (she's fine), a hand being seen taking ice cream out of the Mystery Shack gift shop freezer & both Stan and Ford trying to give an old lady on a bench a flower who then start arguing about it after she leaves due to being unamused by it.
I usually don't watch reaction videos but I enjoyed yours a lot. I could see in you all the enthusiasm and fun I felt myself first time I watched Gravity Falls. It's a wonderful story, so wisely explained. Some weekends ago, during a car trip, we saw a water tank near the roadside, and withouht even thinking I started to sing Gravity Falls theme intro. This story simply changes something inside you.
This was an amazing reaction (also I didn’t realize soos did a recap in the beginning of the episode until like a few days ago because I always watch part 3 as one episode lmao) Also Bill’s lines are amazing: “I got some children I need to make into corpses” and “I’m gonna disassemble your molecules” lmao
I'm so mad I couldn't make the premier but this video is incredible! Gravity Falls is my favourite thing ever and seeing other people go through the experience of watching it all is as close as I can get to rediscovering the magic. Your reactions have been the best that I've seen, Mikey. So glad you enjoyed the show and even more so that it's done so much for your channel. You deserve it and so much more, really looking forward to the next chapter of your work. Also the Gravity Falls livestream, can't wait! Have a great day and stay safe
There are not many stories out there that made me feel so happy and sad and everything in between and had a beautiful, bitterweet and satisfying conclusion. I can probably count the ones that did that to me on one hand. And Gravity Falls is one of them.
It's been amazing seeing your journey with this show and your channel! I'm glad you liked the show, and it's my favorite show ever. I can't believe my life honestly has changed forever, the friends I've made, the other shows this got me to, and my dream to be a writer! This episode always makes me cry at the end, no matter how many times I've seen it. Thank you!
Even after this long, the ending still gets me and seeing that "See you next summer" paper with everyones signature on it doesn't fail to tug at my heartstrings. I watched the ending super early in the morning and still had to go to school that day but man when I finished the show, I was in tears and after the credits song finished, I just laid down again and stared at the ceiling and then at the window still dark out and felt like i had an existential crisis. I just didnt want to do anything after that. Now, I dont know if ive shared this before but the show started in 6/15/12 but if you flip the first and last number it becomes 2/15/16 which is when the show ended. The biggest coincidence or is this why the show had so many long Hiatuses. Its most likely a coincidence as Alex originally planned for 3 Seasons I believe or he planned it all butnit just doesnt change the fact that this one thing is the single most mind boggling thing I know about the show because of how weird it is(oddly fitting considering the nature of the show, is it a coincidence? Or just nothing.) Anyway, the show has beed an absolute blast and glad you get to experience it. There is also Between the Pines which was made between wierdmageddon 2 and 3 and shares a lot of secrets. Would be cool if you could react to it, but if youtube wont allow it, then you can just watch it in your off time, or not, just enjoy the show.
There was (and at some level still is) a theory that Bill is still alive within Stan's mind. Partly due to the fact that his memories returned, partly because of the messages involved in the Cypher's Hunt ARG.
Gravity Falls, alongside with Regular Show, are two of my favorite shows that I loved specifically because they were what I watched growing up. I remember watching both shows and their finales and crying after watching the last episode. I specifically remember when Gravity Falls ended and the credits rolled, I broke down and balled my eyes out outside. My mom even looked at me confused and worried, except I didn’t want to tell her coz I knew she wouldn’t understand how much the show meant to me 😂
Thank you for taking me and many others on this journey with you. I kid you not since the first reaction every day since I’ve gotten home from school I would look forward for the next reaction. Thank you for this journey Mikey, can’t wait for the next owl house reactions :).
My boyfriend and I watched this whole series start to finish together and it blew us away so much. We finished it back in January and still talk about it all the time. Man, it’s just gotta be Disney’s best animated show by far. Maybe their best show ever
Remember to react to the comic later! I think that most of the fans of the series that we follow you would like to continue seeing you react to more content, theories, decipher the codes, etc.
wow what a journey! you started uploading these GF reactions about a month after I moved away from my home for college and these reactions really helped me somehow, I just kept looking forward to Friday (and some tuesdays) to watch these, thanks to you I got to experience one of my favorite childhood shows all over again, and with this whole “growing up is scary” theme that we had going on in a lot of episodes, man it really hit way harder than when I was 9/10 and watching when it first came out, thank you!! so glad you enjoyed this show
I remember when this finale came out, it was on my birthday and I was so excited! I knew the finale was gonna be great but I didn’t realize that I was gonna be bawling my eyes out from Grunkle Stan’s sacrifice and the end credits. By far the most emotional I’ve ever been on my birthday!! It’s also crazy because I’m watching this 3 days from my 21st birthday!!!
It's kinda poetic that Stan faked his death to be Stanford but then pretended to be Ford one last time and became Stanley again. And I love that they could've made the Stan twins into a tragedy, a cautionary tale and a warning for the younger twins but the bros managed to reconcile and get a happy ending It was contemplated whether they would do an entire episode dedicated to Stan getting his memories back and the kids seeing their first day in Gravity Falls again but it was deemed as too depressing Waddles being a trigger for Stan getting his memory back is kinda cute if you see the deleted scenes because in the bunker episode, we learn that Stan ended up bringing Waddles along into the basement for company as he worked on the portal Other than Journal 3, the Cipher Hunt and the comics, there's the Sooscast video with Soos and Stan which was made to promote the colouring book, and the secret Stan commentary for Land Before Swine which is sorta canon and takes place after the finale but before the Stan twins leave on their adventure (it's pretty easy to find on youtube). There's a bunch of Soos the sonployee moments I wish we had in the show but I'm pretty glad they still exist in some form. And while the choose-your-own-adventure book is non-canon, there's a secret page that has canon information on Bill and what became of him (either google "gravity falls axolotl" or "gravity falls time pirates secret page" and it should show up)
I really loved that Waddles was a trigger. Normally I'm iffy of a character losing their memory and then getting it right back. I really didn't mind it here
@@MikeyVenture Yeah back when it first aired I wasn't surprised at all because McGucket got his memories back pretty soon after he saw those videos of himself. Alex mentioned that Stan getting immediate "scrapbook therapy" right after the memory gun is what made the process faster
you have been my favourite person to watch react to this show, you just appreciate it on another level and it's been a pleasure watching this series again with you :)
I believe this is the best cartoon ever made and if you’d like a show in the same fashion amphibia has the same kind of humor vibes as gravity falls and the owl house that you are reacting to, would love to see a reaction to it
His reaction videos are amazing I wanted a way to pass my time and this really won me over I'm so glad I choose this video out of all the other I'm definitely sticking around to see more reactions :)
My thoughts: This is truly the Gravity Falls version of Endgame and for many reasons. Seeing the remaining townsfolk reminds me of the scene where the remaining Avengers reunite for the first time. Seeing the Shacktron fight off Bill’s henchmen is easily the “Avengers Assemble” moment. We can all agree that Stan’s sacrifice is the iconic moment of “I AM IRON MAN”. Mabel saying “It’s me” to Stan makes me always think of Peter Parker talking to Tony Stark as he’s dying. Right after the scene of reading through Mabel’s scrapbook, I always think of Tony Stark’s I Love You 3000 speech.
This was a great adventure, watching your reactions, im glad it had such an impact on your channel and ill definitely stick around for your other reactions!
Blameitonjorge has a great video about the worldwide Cipher Hunt that took place after the finale, where fans were tasked to finding a real statue of Bill Cipher to get some memorable prizes
I always feared the day you would finish this series. Now the day is here, and I wish it hadn't come to this. I'm sorry to say this to you, but it had to be done. I'M FREAKING BAWLING MY EYES OUT AGAIN! YOUR REACTIONS WERE EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED, BUT ALSO THE FACT THAT I CRY EVERY TIME I SEE THE END OF THIS SHOW! I FREAKING HATE IT! Thanks for making my weeks/months. I loved waiting for your reactions, seeing some of the live premiers, and being here on the day of the end. This was a fun time. Can't wait for what comes next.
Hi yes I'm not crying over the thumbnail knowing this is the last Gravity Falls reaction, and also cuz what goes on in the episode, which totally didn't make me weep when I saw it for the first time! On a separate note, does anyone here have a spare tissue?
I still never understood why Bill had to chase Dipper and Mabel through the castle. He's basically a god at that point and he couldn't just force grab them....like he did when he actually caught them.
I'm genuinely sorry if you were expecting the full finale, but I had good intentions splitting them up.*
Also as a reminder there will be a post-series livestream on Sunday June 12 at 11AM EST!

That's ok. Looks like we may have a long discussion bit after this since this part is so short. XD
Hey it's cool! Splitting it up is fun cause we get to see more of your thoughts on the episode :D
I'm going to miss this
yay I'm glad you're checking out Between the Pines! it's so interesting hearing from the mastermind, Alex Hirsch himself haha
Will the livestream be here on UA-cam or are you streaming it on Twitch?

Am i the onl one who thinks he got reborn as King, or in general as a Owl Houise Char.
Yeah it's very easy to want more of such a good thing, but it's always nice when a creator can end things on their terms

Fun fact Alex created a irl mystery hunt for fans to have 1 last mystery to solve by having an actual Bill statue somewhere in the state the show takes place there is many videos explaining it so I won’t get into major detail so if you want to know more you can watch one of the videos explaining the whole thing.

I started watching this show when it was still airing in like 2013, I've watched it through at least 10 times at this point, how the hell does the finale still make me cry every time
Because it's that damn good!
This was my childhood, makes me happy people cried with me when it ended
Same. I started watching shortly before the end so I got to experience the finale with everybody else. I still tear up as well and that multiple times during the episode.
"See you next summer"
that 1 line relives my childhood nostalgia.
Same. This finale gets us crying every time because it’s just so good
thank you mikey for letting us re-experience gravity falls with you..ive been watching your reaction videos since you started gravity falls and its been a joyful 7 months because of that

Aww thank you so much! That's incredibly sweet of you to say. It has been one of the most fun things I have ever done in my four years of content creation
Just when you thought Bill couldn't get any more insane.
more like chaotic
I’d call it trolling
Man, no matter how many times I see it, the fact that Bill was *genuinely about to kill Mabel* still gives me chills.
Eeny. Meeny. Miny. *YOU!!!!!*
Quotes the first ever episode
you think it would be Dipper, but No. he almost killed the shooting star.
out of all the characters to kill off, she is the Last person we would even think would die
@@T_E_G true. but still. if he hurts anyone else then it's fine. it's bad, but it's fine. if he lays a scratch on Mabel, then this means war.
Man… the ending was so bittersweet. I will miss this show for the rest of my life.
No matter how many times I watch the finale, I always get teary-eyed. This show is so lovable.
Re-experiencing Gravity Falls with you has been such a joy! Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us!
I appreciate you experiencing it with me! It’s been so much fun
I think Alex Hirsch did pitch an idea for a show about Stan and Ford's adventures, but Disney is not interested if it doesn't involve the kids
He should just yoink the rights and put it on another network.
@@swagdaddydiego6643 he probably wants to, but you know the Mouse
Makes sense, honestly. Anything with the Gravity Falls name attached is bound to draw views, but I'm guessing Disney figures a show about two old men won't draw in NEW viewers, especially kids. There's no character for a kid to self insert as.
@@bluflavouredpudding alex has also said he wants and has an idea for a gravity falls video game but disney isn't interested and they own the ip so they have final say.

Gravity Falls was the perfect animated series
- Amazing animation

I never realized that Schmebulock signed the goodbye letter Wendy gave Dipper.
I literally CANNOT watch the ending and/or listen to the credit's song without getting extremely close to crying or straight up crying, i just CANNOT, its IMPOSSIBLE
This is the only cartoon that just smacks me in the face every single time. You really feel like you are a part of the adventure.
You know something is good when the "sad" ending can make you cry even after watching it for the 100th time
I'm late, but I loved your reactions to the series!
Yeah the two episodes a video experiment ultimately didn’t work out for me. I felt nothing breathed in those videos
While this is a great stopping point, if you ever yearn for a bit more Gravity Falls, remember there's all the shorts as well. Dipper's Guide to the Unexplained, Fixin' it with Soos, and Mabel's Scrapbook.
I actually reacted to those! It's after the season 1 finale reaction in my playlist
The fact that in a few days is #10YearsOfGravityFalls makes this even better
i’ve gone through the gravity falls journey with so many reactors now & i loved being able to do it with u as well. when i first watched it when it came out, i had no idea it would become one of my favorite shows. thank u for letting us relive the first feelings we ever had watching these episodes.
And I’ve begun watching reactions for it as well 😂 It’s a show tailor made for it. I’m glad you enjoyed mine :)
Amphibia has some shot-outs to Gravity Falls. In one episode we even see some characters in it.

I love that this show is so impactful to so many people of so many ages
I still haven't broken my streak of crying every single time I watch this episode...
It’s like saying bye to really close friends
The end of this show hits the ‘teen summer’s end’ mood perfectly.

Your reactions have the perfect mix of commentry and interest and I really think your channel will blow up so I hope the best for you!
Gideon winning all the hearts of the Prisoners is one of my favorite parts of the ending 😂
And to think after this, the cipher hunt started. The cipher hunt involved finding the real life bill cipher statue. Clues would be hidden around the country to find the statue. One clue even went as far as Japan. I suggest watching blameitonjorge analysis on the whole cipher hunt.
It's been 10 years and i still miss the show.
Thank you Mikey!
in the dvd box set, the final case has a printed copy of the note that wendy gave dipper. makes me emotional every time i see it
Since you're checking out Between the Pines, try to watch One Crazy Summer too!

It’s legit emotional on so many levels. I got choked up all over again when I was editing the reaction haha

Damn gonna miss these weekly reactions, definitely the best reactor to gravity falls, actually pay attention to the plot and minor details
Can’t believe it’s been 10 years since pilot episode… Thanks for your videos, It was a pleasure to go through this again with you!
For the last time (unless the fandub of Lost Legends is reacted to, which I hope it is) here's some episode trivia (courtesy of the GF wiki):
-The name of the episode given during pitching was Twindependence Day, a play on the name of the 1996 American science fiction action film Independence Day.
Thinks about the Pines twins every day."
-Some cut scenes from the credits sequence (made by Emmy Cicierega who said doing it made her feel less sad about the show ending) include Dipper, Mabel and Soos playing in the mud during the rain as an unamused Stan watches and gets soaked in some when they jump into a puddle, Dipper, Mabel and Soos getting marker tattoos from Wendy and Tats giving them a thumbs up, Mabel learning McGucket's dance moves, Dipper, Mabel and Wendy racing down a hill in a shopping cart while being chased by Blubs and Durland in another shopping cart, Dipper braiding Mabel's hair in an awkward way which Mabel finds amusing, Mabel falling while spinning Dipper around on a tire swing with his hat landing on her head backwards (she's fine), a hand being seen taking ice cream out of the Mystery Shack gift shop freezer & both Stan and Ford trying to give an old lady on a bench a flower who then start arguing about it after she leaves due to being unamused by it.
Lovely thumbnail! I love the colors and designs in this 3-part finale.
This was an amazing reaction (also I didn’t realize soos did a recap in the beginning of the episode until like a few days ago because I always watch part 3 as one episode lmao)
Also Bill’s lines are amazing: “I got some children I need to make into corpses” and “I’m gonna disassemble your molecules” lmao
Happy almost 10th anniversary, gravity falls!!!
There are not many stories out there that made me feel so happy and sad and everything in between and had a beautiful, bitterweet and satisfying conclusion. I can probably count the ones that did that to me on one hand. And Gravity Falls is one of them.
I'd love to see a road trip taken to Oregon just to see the Bill statue!
Man I was tearing up. Such an awesome show! Have been loving seeing your reaction. You rock dude!
My mom even looked at me confused and worried, except I didn’t want to tell her coz I knew she wouldn’t understand how much the show meant to me 😂
This was an amazing finale and honestly this is my favorite show (or at least tied with arcane). Glad to see you enjoyed it too
Thank you for watching this series, I loved seeing it with you 💙💙💙💙💙😍
Thank you for taking me and many others on this journey with you.
I’ve loved seeing you react to the show!
wow what a journey! you started uploading these GF reactions about a month after I moved away from my home for college and these reactions really helped me somehow, I just kept looking forward to Friday (and some tuesdays) to watch these, thanks to you I got to experience one of my favorite childhood shows all over again, and with this whole “growing up is scary” theme that we had going on in a lot of episodes, man it really hit way harder than when I was 9/10 and watching when it first came out, thank you!! so glad you enjoyed this show
I remember when this finale came out, it was on my birthday and I was so excited!
And I love that they could've made the Stan twins into a tragedy, a cautionary tale and a warning for the younger twins but the bros managed to reconcile and get a happy ending
It was contemplated whether they would do an entire episode dedicated to Stan getting his memories back and the kids seeing their first day in Gravity Falls again but it was deemed as too depressing
Waddles being a trigger for Stan getting his memory back is kinda cute if you see the deleted scenes because in the bunker episode, we learn that Stan ended up bringing Waddles along into the basement for company as he worked on the portal
Other than Journal 3, the Cipher Hunt and the comics, there's the Sooscast video with Soos and Stan which was made to promote the colouring book, and the secret Stan commentary for Land Before Swine which is sorta canon and takes place after the finale but before the Stan twins leave on their adventure (it's pretty easy to find on youtube).
Alex mentioned that Stan getting immediate "scrapbook therapy" right after the memory gun is what made the process faster
it was established already that you get your memory back after erasure before which made it actually good.@@MikeyVenture
you have been my favourite person to watch react to this show, you just appreciate it on another level and it's been a pleasure watching this series again with you :)
Aww thank you! The writing was so good on this show and it was so easy to get emotionally invested in the characters
I believe this is the best cartoon ever made and if you’d like a show in the same fashion amphibia has the same kind of humor vibes as gravity falls and the owl house that you are reacting to, would love to see a reaction to it
Amphibia reactions will start being uploaded next week :)
That means a lot to me! The GF fandom has been amazing to my channel
if you can, watching the dvd extra “one crazy summer” would be amazing. i think it’s on youtube
I'm so happy to find this channel
Thanks for giving the channel a chance!
i can never not cry watching this episode 😭
Blameitonjorge has a great video about the worldwide Cipher Hunt that took place after the finale, where fans were tasked to finding a real statue of Bill Cipher to get some memorable prizes
This ending always makes me cry I swear
He’s a sick and twisted chaotic demon he probably likes the thrill of chasing down and traumatizing two kids
Honestly it would be fun watching you read journal 3 since you have it! Also there is a book of short comics
