The show wasn't cancelled technically. Alex Hirsch only wanted to do 2 seasons of the show. And Disney respected his wishes and only made two (which sounds VERY out of character for Disney, especially nowadays). Personally, I'm completely content with there only being two seasons of this show, as it does everything well within what it was given. Alex has talked about wanting to make a Gravity Falls video game, and a spin off about Stan and Ford, but has been turned down by Disney. But anyways, great video, dude! Can't wait for the next one!
Not cancelled, but "shortened". The original plans where three seasons, but during the end of the first season Alex himself decided to go for two series and a movie, shortening again to use the final movie as the last three/four episodes. Good because I love short tvshows, although it was later revelead that good ideas wheren't made (some more Ford episodes, one Wendy/Stan centric, one with Pacifica). I think that some more episodes should have been done... but it's not a first class problem. And we got the comic book (4 episodes worth of material) and the massive Journal 3.
I heard they(disney) said no when Alex proposed an idea of grunkle stan and ford adventure as a tv show or something and they were like no one would like it or something, so instead Alex just did gravity falls comic, tho I'm not sure if that's the whole story or if it's even true, edit: ohp wait u already said that lol didn't get to read the rest 🤣

So the part with Time baby was actually foreshadowed. As when Mabel and Dipper first time travelled they saw time baby throwing a tamtrum after regenerating from Bill pretty much atomized him.
Ciphertext at the end reads out this: _"IT WILL TAKE 1,000 YEARS FOR TIME BABY'S MOLECULES TO RECONSTITUTE. AND WHEN HE'S BACK, HE'S GOING TO BE VERY CRANKY."_ That description ties into the first cameo of the time baby in Time Traveler's Pig, where he's seen to be far more berserk in the more immediate future than in his more extensive appearances, which take place at a far later point in the future. TL;DR, Bill is responsible for the seemingly out-of-character behavior of Time Baby wrecking the buildings.
It’s also referencing Dipper’s Guide to the Unexplained mailbox short. One of the things he asks the mailbox is when the world will end, to which it responds 3012. Which is 1,000 years from the series. Thus implying that Time Baby is going to end the world
@@allycat0136 That one I didn't actually catch! That's super interesting-- in a way, if the mailbox is to be trusted then Bill did actually technically accomplish what he had set out to, but only indirectly through KOing the Time Baby?? I guess that's where the confusion about _"THE EVENT ONE BILLION YEARS PROPHESIED"_ had to have come from- he always assumed that bringing about the end would have to be through a direct act on his part, when in actuality the greatest hand he played in that moment was killing him. Definitely an unexpectedly important consequence.
Regarding Gideon, I feel like even the props you’ve given him aren’t enough. His line of "Will you tell her what I did?" indicates that he almost certainly knew that he would die based on what he knows about Bill Cypher and still went against him to buy time. That deserves absolute mad props.

@@HobGungan Oh yeah, I forgot she was in the live action Scooby Doo movies... For me she'll always be Lindsay Weir though. Freaks and Geeks is legit one of the best TV shows of all time!
Of course, she's wearing a red wig and all, while she's normally dark-haired. So she's definitely harder to recognize in the short glimpse people get of her. (But the conclusion that that's the voice actors is a pretty natural one.)
Fun fact - the arm-head monster at the mall was originally voiced by Louie C.K., but after he got in some legal trouble, Alex Hirsch re-dubbed his lines.
I was wondering about that because I didn't know it was redubbed and it really hit me weird (though I mean, I agree with it being done ESPECIALLY given the lines he was saying)
A comment that should hopefully be reassuring: Gravity Falls was not cancelled by Disney- Alex Hirsch chose to end it at season two himself. Thus, there was never any season 3 planned, (regardless of what some fans in denial may sometimes claim), and you're (blessedly! this doesn't always happen with Disney shows) getting the full story with this finale.
I'm pretty sure a Season 3 was planned, but because the fans started the Stan twin brother theory, they decided to just shorten the series and cut to the chase.
While I understand this decision, I feel like it was rushed a bit. There was barely any time between Ford appearing and Weirdmaggedon. They should've spent more time to flesh out Ford and Pacifica (and her relationship with Dipper).
As I said from the previous reaction, here comes my favorite quote! Finally!! "Time is dead and meaning has no meaning. Existence is upside down and I reign supreme! Welcome one and all, to WEIRDMAGEDDON!!" Finally, we're here. Bill is just such an iconic villain. This is why I love this show so much
my favorite thing that this episode shows is that bill is the inter dimensional equivalent of a teenager. his massive plan is to have a huge party with his friends, he’s running from the cops (time police). he’s terrifying, but really all he wants is a fun time. unfortunately, his version of fun is well…..catastrophic.
Hi! I don’t know if you’re gonna see this comment but first and foremost, thanks for your reactions. They’re always super entertaining and your discussions are so in depth! When you’re finished with this season I’d recommend watching a video about the „Cypher Hunt“. It’s a worldwide cypher hunt that Alex Hirsch organized after the show was done. It’s absolutely insane and continues the story in a very interesting way👀 I don’t wanna say more though, find out for yourself:)
@@MikeyVenture It's one of the documentary extras on the DVD (or Bluray) set! (All of the extras are super worth watching! And so are the commentary tracks for every ep, which has Alex Hirsch on all of them, and a rotating group of other people who worked on the show, as well as Kristen Schaal and Jason Ritter sometimes.)
The pink wave of madness that transformed the town is very differently colored than Bills powers. Some say that Bill used Mabels imagination to transform the town, as the weirdness wave is the same color as her prison bubble
I love Bill’s weird multi armed black and rainbow outline form when he first comes through the portal, I’ve said this so many times: BILL CIPHER IS SO ELDRITCH I LOVE IT, I also love his “This party never stops! Time is dead and meaning has no meaning! Existence is upside-down and I reign supreme! Welcome, one and all, TO WEIRDMAGEDDON!” such a good quote, also me and a mate of mine are gonna make the Fearmid in Minecraft, it’s gonna take a while 💀
Things are officially going down, Bill pretty much has absolute power (and that scene with Preston's face is horrifying). Weirdmageddon in general is wild. It's like they told the animators to just go completely nuts and then they did. 1:54 They told her nothing about the rift. Ford specifically told Dipper not to tell anyone about it. It was his biggest mistake in this particular situation, but also understandable considering how distrustful he is (the fact that he told Dipper is pretty astounding on its own). His distrustfulness stems from Bill's betrayal (and the consequences of anyone potentially being possessed by him and working against Ford) and his... difficult time on the other side of the portal. 5:40 Pause at the exact right time (possibly go frame by frame) and you'll see the snake-badger couple from the Love God episode. They stayed together! (Perhaps Mabel was right, there WILL be a snadger)
Fun Facts: Just like with many episodes, there of course were deleted scenes that were going to be added but couldn't due to time. Like originally Bill was going to sing a song, "It's Gonna Get Weird". But since the episode was so packed they couldn't add it in. Another deleted scene is Bill mocking Ford for his efforts, which would result in Ford spitting in Bill's eye. Yet Bill would then lick the spit off, showing that he had a tongue. Shandra, the TV News reporter would attempt to interview Dipper, but instead of a mic she would be using a rat, clearly showing she lost her mind. Poolcheck, the head lifeguard at the pool, and one of the Bikers would be shown hiding in a dumpster as they are trying to restart society in it. And yes, that was Dipper and Wendy's voice actor's, Jason Ritter, and Linda Cardellini. They were supposed to have an extended scene for that part where Dipper is shocked at how many fingers he has, and Wendy commenting how good she looks. Also for extra information, after digging through many sources. Apparently Alex Hirsch was so burnt out from making the first season of the show that he wanted to end it with just one season. So basically after the episode "Gideon Rises" he was going to end it there. I guess developing such a mystery and keeping the continuity was taxing on him. Yet when he saw how successful the show was, and even adults were watching it he was convinced into doing a second season, but he told Disney this was it, as it would be the final one. But it doesn't end there. Once the second season went into production Alex wanted to end the series one the episode, "Not what he seems". Yes, we would have gotten a major cliffhanger for the series finale. Yet, that is where Disney came in, telling Alex that they wanted to do a full season, which is 20 episodes. Alex agreed and we got the show ending that we got. Almost done, and Like I said, once you air the final episode, i'll reveal something that many people didn't know of, I think. Once again, like endgame content. Also the comment for that episode will be large.
Regarding the intro: I definitely agree. While Mabel isn't my favourite character, I could never change her for that?? She had no clue how important it was. But anyway, this episode was crazy! The intro caught me so off guard when I first saw it, too. I don't think I'll ever find a show as good as gravity falls. The art in this episode was so cool, and they made Bill even more threatening some how??? I love it. Gideon's development was a shock but really satisfying.
I just loved the fact you were drinking something right before the photo of bill in all the main characters clothing. To think this is part 1, can’t wait for part 2!!!
Finally.... For far too long have waited.... Our lord and master of weirdness will rex havoc on our small world and free our mortal bodies to the oblivion.... So let him be.... Let's cherish this event of this never ending party.... this is the time with out time .... let's us pray to our ruler for chanse to use us for his multi-dimenshonal plays and mischews.... let him take control over our bodies to be a slaves of his.... let's welcome.... Bill Cipher And the end
CIPHER UPDATE: The title of Gravity Falls flickers into its own cipher during the new intro. The key word, “CILLBIPHER” can be seen on the bottom wall at 12:50 before we see Mabel’s bubble. The end credits cipher decodes to, “IT WILL TAKE 1,000 YEARS FOR TIME BABY'S MOLECULES TO RECONSTITUTE, AND WHEN HE'S BACK, HE'S GOING TO BE VERY CRANKY.” and the cipher on the end picture decodes to, “GAME IS OVER, AND I WON NOW IT'S TIME TO START THE FUN. I ALWAYS LOVE CORRUPTING LIVES, NOW LET'S SEE WHICH PINES SURVIVES.”. Fun Facts: That was indeed the actual voice actors for Dipper and Wendy. Jason Ritter and Linda Cardellini. She’s Velma from the live action Scooby Doo Movie and she’s also Hawkeye’s wife from the Marvel Universe.
Alex actually only wanted 2 seasons. Disney wanted more cause the show was so popular, but Alex refused, so the story ends on the note the team wanted it to end on.
Codes this episode. Credits: IT WILL TAKE 1,000 YEARS FOR TIME BABY'S MOLECULES TO RECONSTITUTE, AND WHEN HE'S BACK, HE'S GOING TO BE VERY CRANKY. (Others have pointed out the connection to The Mailbox from the shorts with the world ending and the glimps of Time Basby destroying the world in 3012. But the first mention oif Time Baby was in the episode Irrational Treasure in the file about the towns founder, stating he's been frozen in an artic glacier for for an unknown ammount of time.) Numbers: GAME IS OVER, AND I WON NOW IT'S TIME TO START THE FUN I ALWAYS LOVE CORRUPTING LIVES NOW LET'S SEE WHICH PINES SURVIVES (This is honestly the most ominous of the codes of the whole show in my opinion.)
Welcome to the apocalypse, have a look around! Whatever eldritch horror you can think of, it can be found! Some for worse, and some for *even worse!* If you puny mortal likes it, you'll be the first!
It was stated by Alex Hirsch that "Time Baby and Bill do not like each other, if they saw each other at a party they would be doing that 'awkward circle thing' where they're making eye contact but they're not talking to each other and everybody's like 'Do they know each other? Do they have a history?'" He also said that, "Given the chance, Bill would be a terrible babysitter to Time Baby." Also, Alex Hirsch at some point made an "Ask me anything" on Reddit, under the name of Bill Cypher. It's hilarious and it contains a lot of trivia about the show. You should definitely check that out once you're done with the show.
Solid episode and a really good opening to Weirdmageddon. I especially like the Billified intro they made for the event as that's not something most shows do (some might have a slightly different intro (which GF definitely has since Ford was introduced) but rarely is it like this). Now for episode trivia (courtesy as always of the GF wiki): -The Horrifying Sweaty One-Armed Monstrosity was originally voiced by Louis C.K., but after his legal trouble in 2017 Alex went & redubbed his lines, which is the version Disney+ uses (note this was after the show had already ended). If you wish to hear Louis portrayal I'd recommend the reaction videos by jaffarchfiend or Flamingshark. -For some unknown reason Weirdmageddon is called Showmageddon in the Polish version. -This is the only full-length episode in which Mabel doesn't speak, so her VA is creditless here. -An extended version of the live-action sequence was cut for time. -One deleted scene revealed that Bill has a tongue, which he used to clean his eye with after Ford spat in it. Bill also mocked his heroics as being too predictable in another deleted scene. One other deleted scene involved Gideon's crew having rocket launchers they use on Dipper & Wendy during the chase scene. -The cipher for this episode: "GAME IS OVER, AND I WON. NOW IT'S TIME TO START THE FUN. I ALWAYS LOVE CORRUPTING LIVES. NOW LET'S SEE WHICH PINES SURVIVES."
Anyone out there who knows what I'm talking about agree that Dipper and Ford is the Eye, Wendy is the Hunt, Bill and Gideon are Spiral, I'm not sure who else. For some reason I can see Stranger Mabel?
On the subject of Dipper missing school to stay in Gravity Falls, Ford did basically say he’d be teaching him from that point on with his 12 phds, so Dipper would be getting way more of an education than he would normally.
So part 2 came out a month after this ep and part 3 came out 3 months after that. This basically meant that fans were terrified for a third of a year and this wasn't helped by the omnious interviews Alex Hirsch gave...
I knew Pacifica’s dad had it coming but that was quite a shocker! Never thought it would be Bill that would give him his comeuppance. Amazing one liners from the best Disney villain! Time is dead and meaning has no meaning. Existence is upside down and I reign supreme! WELCOME 1& ALL 2 WEIRD-MAGEDDON!! Loved how the theme song and intro had been corrupted!
My favorite detail that I didn't notice for the longest time is that the Bill in the opening credits in the zodiac is ripped out. Like he actually got taken out of the intro to be a physical being in the show.
Ahh the stakes of this episode are crazy. I miss the time when this first came out. Me and my cousins loved this show and we actually entered an art contest because of it. So the three of us, me, me older cousin and his sister the eldest of the three of us. We had finished this episode that day and it was announced in our town that we were having an art competition for most creative art based off a tv show. We all drew our own version of the next episode and My oldest cousin won because she was always great at art. You actually liking the show is just so awesome. This is great. Also Time Baby, when Bill killed Time Baby, it cuts back to bill and he’s shocked. Bill didn’t know he could kill time baby. Anyways it’s still January 4th, 33/?
I really like Gideon in this episode. He seems to obey Bill just because he's the same jerk he's always been, but the truth is that he obeys Bill because he's scared of him. And honestly, who wouldn't be ? But in the end, Gideon decided to not let his fears control his life and do the right thing. That's some real growth there, especially considering fearing Bill is definitly not irrational.
Probably a few comments on this but it was Always meant to be 2 seasons it was never cancelled or at risk of cancellation. Hersch just didn't want the story to keep going just for the sake of keeping it going.
I really like this episode but Bill was supposed to have a song that got cut, probably because there wasn't enough time to fit it in, but I really wish that made it into the episode.
so the part in the beginning where you talked about Ford and how he was sounded to dipper asking him to say, he did explain in the episode that he had i think 13 phds? so he said himself that dippers parents would be more than happy to have him as a teacher instead of going to school
If this is on disney+ (which I think it is) just wanted to say that they cut episode 20 of this season into 2 episodes which doesn't really make that much sense imo
They sort of always planned that. Even when you watch episode 20 as 1 ep, there is a brief flash in the middle of one of the end title cards (that we've been getting at the end of every ep, that all go together as like a poster). They did this because when the show plays in reruns, they need them all to be half-hour eps. Disney was willing to give Gravity Falls the programming space to have a 1-hour series finale, but it would mess up regular programming when they would rerun it.
Fun fact: the giant head with a hand was designed after and set to be voiced by Louie C.K., but then he did an icky and they had to change to Alex Hirsch last minute Update: read the comments, someone said the same thing
8:35 I wanted to Bill win tho. It would have been enjoyable to watch him causing chaos in space and dimensions. Also I never wanted to pines to win tho. Because Bill is just amazing.
After you finish GF, I gope you react to or at least watch Between The Pines on your own time. It's essentially an interview with Alex Hirsch about the show, he talks about fun facts and easter eggs. I think it's a fun send-off.
You do know there are schools in gravity falls right? Most people in that town do seem like they have never gone to one.. but i guess there are schools in gravity falls... Dipper does not need to drop it to stay...
@@MikeyVenture I think we can definitely conclude that Ford feels that way. And it's not that surprising, when you consider that Glass Shard Beach's high school in the 60s was undoubtedly not that great and not very well-funded. (And, in some ways, Ford might have a point, even though he doesn't know what the modern school system has become -- you know, "teaching to the test" and all of that. I personally wouldn't go so far as to say that school is a waste of time, but it needs a serious overhaul, and more funding, to fix the state it's in right now.) And I think Ford's "I have 12 ph.Ds" line was meant to suggest what would effectively be home-schooling. (But it would not have been *well-rounded*, to be honest.) Don't get me wrong, though, I agree with you; purely from the point of view of being allowed to grow up at a normal pace, and experience a normal social life, Dipper needed NOT to take the apprenticeship with Ford. Dipper isn't Ford. And Ford is just doing a ton of projecting at that point. He sees his own young self (desires and ambitions) in Dipper, but he hasn't known Dipper (and Mabel) long enough to truly know the ways they differ. Especially after this summer, Dipper is a lot more confident than kid-Ford, and better socialized. School wasn't a great experience for Ford; but that doesn't mean Dipper will have the same experience.
Out of the three parts, I think this one is my personal favorite. The chaos that ensues cranks every aspect of Gravity falls up to an 11. The ending gave us one of the best character turnarounds Ive ever seen in Gideon's case. Mabel was in the wrong for most of 2 and her world was something overly colorful. I know both were on purpose to allow dipper and Mabel to reconcile, but the rest of the episode is just kind of annoying to me take. 3:Take Back the Falls is good at the personal drama between the characters, but some things were underwhelming like the circle being taken literally and Stan getting all his memory back without consequence. A better version of that prophecy could have been all the characters standing up against Bill instead. Stan could have gradually remembered things and slowly recovered. I'd still give them all good scores, though. 1: 10/10, 2: 8.5/10, 3: 9/10
My favorite thing about ford is his flaws. I was worried we’d get basically a “good twin, bad twin” thing and as a twin personally that’s a really harmful troupe. Often times if someone didn’t like one of us we were deemed “evil” and treated as such. We become completely two dimensional to people as soon as we’re associated as twins. It’s better now that we’re adults, but it made growing up hard and certain adults and family members have held their favoritism towards my sister firm through the years, even going as far as to lie to the police about me when my sister abused me. Ford is just as irresponsible with the kids as Stan is! He has a novelty to him just because he’s “The Author™️” that was hyped up the WHOLE series but I think we learn pretty quickly that he IS dangerous like Stan says and if ANYONE knows danger IT IS STAN. Stan is ALSO dangerous. They are foils for Mable and Dippers worst qualities! Ford is a certified genius but he’s also incredibly socially awkward and antisocial and often puts his curiosity and ego before safety. Stan is street smart. He’s a master criminal that’s managed to evade the law (kinda, he’s been to prison in like three countries) basically since he was kicked out at 18. His story is honestly tragic. And after 30 years of trying to get his brother back and no one giving him ANY CREDIT for DEDICATING HIS LIFE to getting him back I’d say Stan has a pretty valid reason to be upset! Stan may have accidentally made Ford lose his chance for a dream college and that did make Ford have to work harder but ultimately Stan DIDNT ruin his life! Ford actually end up studying something he LOVES that he himself ended up dedicating his life to and wanting to have an APPRENTICE for it to CONTINUE what he studies. I would say that Stans life was ruined way more than Fords. Yeah ford can be upset with Stan, that’s valid. But come on dude, be a little grateful? You were the one who built the machine that sucked you up, ruined your partners life, and started the apocalypse. Ford was the one that took his interest and ego TOO FAR. Thoughts, choices, actions, and consequences. Sorry for this little rant lol
In this episode of the show that make me disbelieve this is Disney show. I think GF really bring some fresh air for Disney after terrible run animated series on Disney at that time especially 2012/13. I still remember Disney kinda don't know what to offer after Phineas and Ferb end. It is really weird that this show is squeeze in Disney with some terrible animated series. I mean i still remember I have to wait for f**king cucumber and peanut show to end to watch GF.
I still think it was Mables fault. She can be a good person but it was still her fault for being very childish and egoistic. She can't decide about Dippers life. If he wanted to stay with Ford it is his decision.

@@DuckverseI thought it was because after season 1, Alex was like “Nope. Only doing one more. Holy shit that was so much difficult work” lmao
On my way to high school graduation rehearsal, but that ain’t gonna stop me from watching the greatest Gravity Falls reaction on all of UA-cam!
Have fun at graduation I have one soon as well about 2 weeks from now I think and I basically finishing almost everything this week
Have a great graduation
Weirdmageddon is one of my favorite conclusions to a show ever, Bill is just so intimidating and it all just really brings out the characters.
As I said from the previous reaction, here comes my favorite quote! Finally!!
"Time is dead and meaning has no meaning. Existence is upside down and I reign supreme! Welcome one and all, to WEIRDMAGEDDON!!"
Finally, we're here. Bill is just such an iconic villain. This is why I love this show so much
Weirdmegedon is such a good arc
You’re in for a treat
This is one of my favorite episodes. There are so many cool things introduced and everything just gets thrown into chaos. It's so cool
It’s amazing how much they jammed into this one episode
my favorite thing that this episode shows is that bill is the inter dimensional equivalent of a teenager. his massive plan is to have a huge party with his friends, he’s running from the cops (time police). he’s terrifying, but really all he wants is a fun time. unfortunately, his version of fun is well…..catastrophic.
These always premiere on days when I work, and they're always such a treat to come home to! Cannot wait for this reaction! ^u^
22:05 maybe because Alex Hirsch didn't make these episodes... Bill Cipher did, as seen in the intro ;)
Noted! Thank you
@@MikeyVenture It's one of the documentary extras on the DVD (or Bluray) set!
Me looking at the premier countdown:
“Can’t this thing go any faster??”
Welcome, one and all, TO WEIRDMAGEDDON!” such a good quote, also me and a mate of mine are gonna make the Fearmid in Minecraft, it’s gonna take a while 💀
Agreed! That form is really a favorite of mine, it just looks so cool.
Wait Alex was going to end the show at Season 1 and then at Not what He Seems ? Man I would have hated if the show ended at a cliffhanger !
@@skylerloggins4902 That's what i managed to dig up. The show really did burn him out to that point.
Haha almost spit my coffee out 😂
Finally....

Bill Cipher
And the end
And CJ from Regular Show.
Alex actually only wanted 2 seasons. Disney wanted more cause the show was so popular, but Alex refused, so the story ends on the note the team wanted it to end on.
Typical Disney, wanting to milk it even when it’s just the insides of bones.
Mad respect to Alex Hirsch doing what the work needed.
@@ArtyKibbles2190 And then shows like The Owl House get cut short.
effin Disney
Codes this episode.
Credits:
IT WILL TAKE 1,000 YEARS FOR TIME BABY'S MOLECULES TO RECONSTITUTE, AND WHEN HE'S BACK, HE'S GOING TO BE VERY CRANKY.
(Others have pointed out the connection to The Mailbox from the shorts with the world ending and the glimps of Time Basby destroying the world in 3012. But the first mention oif Time Baby was in the episode Irrational Treasure in the file about the towns founder, stating he's been frozen in an artic glacier for for an unknown ammount of time.)
Numbers:
GAME IS OVER, AND I WON
NOW IT'S TIME TO START THE FUN
I ALWAYS LOVE CORRUPTING LIVES
NOW LET'S SEE WHICH PINES SURVIVES
(This is honestly the most ominous of the codes of the whole show in my opinion.)
Welcome to the apocalypse, have a look around!
Whatever eldritch horror you can think of, it can be found!
Some for worse, and some for *even worse!*
If you puny mortal likes it, you'll be the first!
It was stated by Alex Hirsch that "Time Baby and Bill do not like each other, if they saw each other at a party they would be doing that 'awkward circle thing' where they're making eye contact but they're not talking to each other and everybody's like 'Do they know each other? Do they have a history?'" He also said that, "Given the chance, Bill would be a terrible babysitter to Time Baby."
Also, Alex Hirsch at some point made an "Ask me anything" on Reddit, under the name of Bill Cypher. It's hilarious and it contains a lot of trivia about the show. You should definitely check that out once you're done with the show.
The head with the arm coming out the top is always gonna be my favorite character, besides the GF police.
Love how he asks people to get in his mouth.
In the regular intro, at the end, you see a flash of Bill. In this new intro, however, there is only a silhouette of where he was.
The new intro song they made for this finale is absolutely amazing😍
We’re in the endgame now!
Solid episode and a really good opening to Weirdmageddon. I especially like the Billified intro they made for the event as that's not something most shows do (some might have a slightly different intro (which GF definitely has since Ford was introduced) but rarely is it like this).
Now for episode trivia (courtesy as always of the GF wiki):
-The Horrifying Sweaty One-Armed Monstrosity was originally voiced by Louis C.K., but after his legal trouble in 2017 Alex went & redubbed his lines, which is the version Disney+ uses (note this was after the show had already ended).
Welcome one n all, to WEIRDMAGEDDON!
Lol
The quantum destabilier was made to erase Bill
Too bad he missed
Ford got so low credits overall
Dipper: Wendy, you're the coolest person I know.
*Wendy's Thoughts:* (Stop it, you're making me blush on the inside.) 😅
I never noticed the weird mobile’s stick shift was Blind Ivan’s head
Anyone out there who knows what I'm talking about agree that Dipper and Ford is the Eye, Wendy is the Hunt, Bill and Gideon are Spiral,
I'm not sure who else. For some reason I can see Stranger Mabel?
I love the fact at the end of theme title it's say created by bill cypher when you realize that the voice of bill is Alex Hirsch himself
God, i remember the months we had to wait between these episodes, it was insane
It's happening welcome one and all to weirdmageddon
Yooo I just found your channel and just finished the series can’t wait for you to see the end
On the subject of Dipper missing school to stay in Gravity Falls, Ford did basically say he’d be teaching him from that point on with his 12 phds, so Dipper would be getting way more of an education than he would normally.
I mean I guess. I don’t know still think he would be better off away from Ford
Loved the reaction as usual! It's always a blast watching you discover what happens.
So part 2 came out a month after this ep and part 3 came out 3 months after that. This basically meant that fans were terrified for a third of a year and this wasn't helped by the omnious interviews Alex Hirsch gave...
don't forget the SIX MONTHS after they played the portal eps
I knew Pacifica’s dad had it coming but that was quite a shocker! Never thought it would be Bill that would give him his comeuppance.
Amazing one liners from the best Disney villain! Time is dead and meaning has no meaning. Existence is upside down and I reign supreme! WELCOME 1& ALL 2 WEIRD-MAGEDDON!!
Loved how the theme song and intro had been corrupted!
Can’t wait for the next reaction! My favourite episode of the whole show!
Tbh I was rooting for when I watched this for the first time 😂
This finale is the reason Gravity Falls is my favorite cartoon
There was a moment I was as well haha
Still one of my favourite season finales ever
13 HOURSS LEFFFT, FUCK AM EXCITED
I really like Gideon in this episode. He seems to obey Bill just because he's the same jerk he's always been, but the truth is that he obeys Bill because he's scared of him.
And honestly, who wouldn't be ? But in the end, Gideon decided to not let his fears control his life and do the right thing. That's some real growth there, especially considering fearing Bill is definitly not irrational.
Great reaction! The Weirdmagedon arc is so good!
Probably a few comments on this but it was Always meant to be 2 seasons it was never cancelled or at risk of cancellation. Hersch just didn't want the story to keep going just for the sake of keeping it going.
Im so excited for every new video also i can't wait for you to react to "between the pines"
I really like this episode but Bill was supposed to have a song that got cut, probably because there wasn't enough time to fit it in, but I really wish that made it into the episode.
That would have been a lot of fun! Time I’m sure was an issue
@@MikeyVenture It's out there on UA-cam. Just search for "Neil Cicierega Bill Cipher Song".
so the part in the beginning where you talked about Ford and how he was sounded to dipper asking him to say, he did explain in the episode that he had i think 13 phds? so he said himself that dippers parents would be more than happy to have him as a teacher instead of going to school
Its about to get weird
Almost there, just 2 hours left!
Alternatively they could just not find Mabel. Shes the one who started the apocalypse after all.
omg it's here
bill cipher the dorito king is back
Fun fact: the giant head with a hand was designed after and set to be voiced by Louie C.K., but then he did an icky and they had to change to Alex Hirsch last minute
Update: read the comments, someone said the same thing
Bill is a MENACE!
I just watched The Owl House season 2 finale and I’m FUCKING CRYING! Can’t wait for you to get there.
8:35 I wanted to Bill win tho. It would have been enjoyable to watch him causing chaos in space and dimensions. Also I never wanted to pines to win tho. Because Bill is just amazing.
OH MAN THE HYPE IS REAL!!
After you finish this show recommend either grabbing the comic or watching the comic dub
After you finish GF, I gope you react to or at least watch Between The Pines on your own time. It's essentially an interview with Alex Hirsch about the show, he talks about fun facts and easter eggs. I think it's a fun send-off.
I also have journal 3! It's really cool.
I’m halfway through it and it’s amazing how much thought went into it
Yeah! If yours has a protective cover take it off and on the inside there will be blueprints of Mc.Guckets creations!
Wendy eating a bat in the apocalypse, that hits different now.
You do know there are schools in gravity falls right? Most people in that town do seem like they have never gone to one.. but i guess there are schools in gravity falls... Dipper does not need to drop it to stay...
I don’t know it seems like to me Ford is a “school is a waste of time” type of guy
(But it would not have been *well-rounded*, to be honest.)
Don't get me wrong, though, I agree with you; purely from the point of view of being allowed to grow up at a normal pace, and experience a normal social life, Dipper needed NOT to take the apprenticeship with Ford.
Things are getting crazy now
My favorite thing about ford is his flaws.
There was supposed to be a song. Bill singing it's going to get weird

I still think it was Mables fault. She can be a good person but it was still her fault for being very childish and egoistic. She can't decide about Dippers life. If he wanted to stay with Ford it is his decision.
