You definitely left stuff out. 1- How much $$$ did the build cost? 2- How long did it take to build? 3- What does it do in the quarter mile? Oh, and, I love this car!!!
Yes, watching it back I left a lot out. Like PTC converter, dennys driveshaft, everything you said lol…so I have quite a bit in the car at this point. The short answer is 100k would be a fair number to throw out there on what I’ve got in to it. I must of asked my friend 50 times how much more I needed to finish this and I swear the number kept going up instead of down 😂 It would sit for months when we couldn’t work on it, but when we could due to availability in what we do for work, we could wrench on it every day all day for months on end like it was a full time job. It took 3 years from start to finish. Me and my friend have a few thousand man hours labor in to it. I have not run the car at the track since the last engine. Car ran 9’s at 140 with a 540 pump gas and a little nitrous with too much gear back in 2013, it could have trapped higher for sure. It’s got another 200hp at the wheels now so I would be confident it would still run somewhere in the 9’s without issue and without maxing it out but it should trap a good bit higher than it did last time with the turbo motor and 3.25 gears. My goal was to run at least a high 8 with it but I don’t know if I’ll even take it to the track at this point. I kind of want to build another nova and do a turbo 427LS or maybe a turbo big block but something not so pretty or near and dear to my heart just in case something were to happen. I thought about swapping a bigger motor in it but the car is so perfect, drives so nice , and is tuned with all the bugs worked out….and it’s still fast with around 900 wheel but you know how it is, you always want to get to the next level. I really don’t feel like taking it apart though because it’s like an erector set and you have to be so careful so you don’t so much as scratch something. I pretty much just cruise it, take it to shows, and give people rides they won’t forget anytime soon. However I still check the classifieds every day for a new project car to call my name. Thanks for the comment 👍🏻
Radical radical really like that car although I feel I probably wouldn't spend quite that much and modify it that much although if you have the money and it's your passion that is radical to do it to a Nova or concourse I like I really love and like the 77 or 76 model Nova and concourse they are really something else you'd be surprised even ones that are stock and ones that have four speeds in them or ones that just have the 354 barrel or the 305 and four barrel are really pleasant cars they're comfortable in the amount of headroom legroom even in the back seat you can sit comfortably do you have a lot of trunk space so you can actually put like a suitcase in the back or even a keg of beer the underneath the hood there are lots of areas to put room in there for either a rat motor a big block or you could have a small block you can put almost any type of motor in there and believe it or not when you lift the hood or take off the wheels and tires or to change the brakes it's practical and somewhat much easier to do than a Pontiac trans am or a Camaro or maybe even something like a modern mustang or other cars that they're coming up with these cars are really much more pleasant to own and drive as daily drivers the only thing that I noticed about your two videos is you show really a remarkable photography of the car good music and good photography although I think that everyone would probably enjoy and like and you would probably like the memory of maybe seeing the car in action like on the quarter mile or something in a competition to see time and speed I'm sure it's a fast car I'm sure it's remarkable and affordable practical and comfortable that is radical I don't feel I would put that much of resources into anova or concourse although if I had an incredible amount of money I'm sure I'd probably do the same thing that you would do congratulations that is totally awesome
