If you don't find qualified teachers, you must survive, I am regretting to learn something in the Fragile country, where everything becomes privatization and one man owner. Thank you so much for this video, I have gained extensive knowledge related to qualitative research.
Thank you for this explanation. I would like to know the reference of the page you showed at the end of the video, related to «Strategies used to promote qualitative research validity».
you can find the information from Johnson, B., & Christensen, L. (2012) Educational Research: Quantitative, Qualitative, and Mixed Approaches (p. 266) (4th ed.). Sage.
The responses for the close ended questions usually do not contain enough "narrative" or "story" that convey the respondents' experience, perception, etc., which are the strength of qualitative data. If you will be "counting" what words appear how many times, you may consider converting the responses into a quantitative data and provide a descriptive statistics.

Thanks for this informative session, I have a question, it will be a great help if you can answer this. If you are doing quantitative research and you have linked open-end questions, what should be the way to analyse those open ends?
Often, the responses to those open-ended questions are short and succinct. Therefore, there won't be a lot of data to be analyzed this way. I often advise students in this class to use the information to inform you as you understand the findings. For example, you may found from your Quant data analysis that students who participated in a program had a higher GPA. While this does not provide answer to "why" necessarily, you might utilize some of the open-ended questions on "what aspect of the program was helpful for one's study or academic activities".

thank you, but why there is no voice between 6:10-7.38?
Thanks for pointing it out--seems like the narration was removed from the slide during the conversion. Hope the slide was self-explanatory :)
Thanks, Kim, for answering most of my questions. Can we have a date for this presentation for reference purposes pls? Thank you
You can refer the date as September 22, 2016 (date of the video release).
Thanks
Excellent, compact and informative, thank you!
