I was just about to order this but it’s a couple inches too big. What do you suggest? Is it cinchable? I’ll be taking 2 European airlines don’t know how rigid they are.
I actually have this backpack and it’s amazing! It holds as much or even a little more than the deep side of my BÉIS carryon. It feels really sturdy and well made, and I love the thoughtful touches like the compression straps, included luggage tag, and the trolley sleeve pocket to hide stuff in, etc. It’s fantastic, especially for the price

I have a bag addiction so I don't _technically_ need another personal carry-on but I like the features on this one! _And as I'm a Leo my birthday is coming up so... Just saying...!_ I have two or three bags of the size and one of them is very boxy with minimalists pockets. My personal item can be my daypack when traveling, it can be my international flight personal item on Ryanair in Europe, and it can even be a train case on .. well... a train! I like to keep it simple and light because I have always used packing cubes and stuffsacks so minimalist is the way to go for me!! I know many on your channel are still adjusting to one bag travel with a wheeled carry-on, but I've been traveling with convertible backpack duffels for years and love it. If you ever see someone going through an airport or train station or catching a ferry with a 40 litre convertible backpack and a 28-30 litre personal item on my front like a papoose that would be me!! No wheels, no lag, just *adiamo!* Another great video Lauren! I commend you for bringing this small business to us because as much as I am adamant about supporting local and small businesses in my life usually luggage is not one of those things whereupon you can discover a new brand like this! *#SupportSmallBusiness*
I bought this back back in June, it was back ordered for months. I took it to Canada on Flair Airlines and no problem. I fit everything on there that i used for 5 days, i didnt have to pay for it, it was free as my personal item. In addition, i recommend everyone this bag 🎒
I love your reviews Lauren. I'm plus sized and always a bit frustrated how most packing videos the women don't wear my size and I can't get a true idea of how my clothes will pack. So wonderful to see small businesses showcased and not just the name brands. Great to see someone’s travel idea. Love all the pockets on this bag. I think I prefer a little more structure on the sides of the bag, but that may be a minor thing that doesn’t take away from this bag.
Yea it stood up nicely in the video. And now that I think about it because it’s not so rigid it allows it to expand a little as it gets packed with stuff.

I plan on it eventually. What type of bag do you like to carry? I have a bad back but backpacks are still better for my back and shoulders than a heavy duffel bag, on one shoulder.
@@ItsTheKellys I like totes or duffels that have a luggage sleeve. I want them sized more or less to the width dimension of a carry on suitcase ie without a lot of overhang on each side of suitcase. Of course, light in weight would be best.
@@theresatomasello1843 good to know. All of the backpacks I review do have luggage sleeves though! And are the width of the luggage. Most duffels are longer, and fit more so they get heavier
Good idea..but as an older girl..I do carry this backpack and it's FULL of stuff but I stuff alot..if you didn't carry heavy stuff I think you would do fine!!

I loved everything about this backpack at the start of the video. It does everything I wish personal item bags would do, which is maximize the capacity you can have within the measurements allowed. But I'm disappointed the laptop doesn't have a separate compartment or zipper to access it. Looks like your laptop would be difficult to get out with all your stuff on top of it. Still, a pretty cool bag.

As I commented before..I have this backpack..Recently used it to fly to NYC. travelling to Seattle with it tomorrow!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE..its forgiving and allows a nudge or two!!! Made of nice durable fabric.I have both Underseat Pro items..plus their discontinued suitcase as it was too large as a carryon ..will use for cruising as I don't want the suitcase being tossed in the cargo hold!!
I love everything about this bag! The size, shape, look...I love that it's waterproof!...It has a section on the outer part next to your back so that thieves can't access it. So many bags do not have that section. So I love, love that. Yes it's really, really nice. It's unfortunate that it doesn't come in other colors.

I'm a very experienced traveller who owns probably close to 10 bags (not including a regular suitcase) in the search for the perfect bag. I am so impressed by this design. I'm the queen of underseat bags because I WILL NOT get up during a flight and rifle through the overhead. Got to have the things I need for comfort at hand and be considerate of others. This is the smartest bag I've ever seen and I think the designer literally thought of everything.

The older I have gotten the more I gravitate toward using a backpack. Much easier to manage the even weight distribution. Love a backpack with a luggage pass so I can place in on my wheeled bag to make things even easier once I am on the move! Love your Chanel!

I love the shape of this bag. I haven't traveled back home, N.Ireland for years. And my wife passed away a few months ago and our daughter is buying me a ticket to go home for a trip. I have watched soooo many carryon bags, personal bags, I a am sooo confused lol I'm an oldie, but I love the look of this, and 5 minutes later I saw your 'short' video of the new version (lp top) and thats the one for me. This looks perfect. Thanks for this review! I find that my personal item must be a backpack, in case we have to board or deplane outdoors sans a gangway…via those stairs they roll up to the plane. Or in European train stations where your connection is at a platform on a different level. I MUST have a free hand for holding the handrail!!! No compromise, lest I kill myself in a fall. If I’ve also got a carryon, a backpack is the only option for maintaining that free hand. Been looking for a more utile backpack, hard to find one with my personal requisites. This one checks all the boxes.

I'm travelling a few times a year now for work and been doing carry -on only for almost every trip. I use a roller bag and backpack, but not one optimized for travel. This one is much better than what I'm using for frying!

This looks like a fantastic bag and I definitely want one for my upcoming international trip where every inch of space will be a premium. Very well thought out and pretty much perfect, and I'm impressed that this small size holds so much! I only wish the laptop compartment was padded and more easily accessible (part of the front panel ideally) but overall that's not a huge complaint. Absolutely love it and the price is great, too!

I juat ordered something similar from Amazon. I ahve been waiting to get one and they ran a deal on a pink for $20. Well made and look forward to putting it to use. I think the brick method without packint cubes will work better.
Traveling next week and this is awesome especially for the price point! I can't always carry a lot on my back (I'm also short), but if it's balanced and has the additional support straps then I do prefer backpacks (especially if anti-theft). Would love a slightly smaller version of this, since some of Alaska Airlines planes have smaller underseat, like 14x12x9.

I have this bag and love it so much! I also have to give a shout out to their new packable backpacks. Bought the hot pink for my daughter and she loves it. It’s the easiest packable backpack to refold back into its pocket ever!!!!

Me too. I got a nice green 25 l compketely light weightless basic backpack to replace others worn out but could fold it down and use a more robust one!
Do I NEED them? No. Do I WANT them? YES. I want both. I could easily travel for a very long time with both bags. It would make euro train travel so easy. The bags would fit any style airplane, even Canadair.

Lauren, that backpack looks like a winner! I liked my Motherlode Jr. backpack for similar reasons, but the water bottle holder on that is worthless! It's also quite heavy (main reason for giving it up a while back), so I'm curious what the Underseat Pro backpack weighs. Also, have you tried it on for comfort while packed? As far as access to an in-flight pouch or something, do you feel like this backpack allows that? Great review, as always!

The older I have gotten the more I gravitate toward using a backpack. Much easier to manage the even weight distribution. Love a backpack with a luggage pass so I can place in on my wheeled bag to make things even easier once I am on the move! Love your Chanel!

I have both...Flying our tomorrow with both. plus a checked bag..only a checked bag this trip...otherwise I would choose one or the other and a carry on..but I love the backpack!!!

This looks perfect. Thanks for this review! I find that my personal item must be a backpack, in case we have to board or deplane outdoors sans a gangway…via those stairs they roll up to the plane. Or in European train stations where your connection is at a platform on a different level. I MUST have a free hand for holding the handrail!!! No compromise, lest I kill myself in a fall. If I’ve also got a carryon, a backpack is the only option for maintaining that free hand.

Great bag, thanks for showing features and packing. Just spent $175.00 on a Travel Pro backpack and it doesn’t hold half as much stuff, no place to attach items and no security pockets. Definitely a buy directly from small business. !!!
I'm travelling a few times a year now for work and been doing carry -on only for almost every trip. I use a roller bag and backpack, but not one optimized for travel. This one is much better than what I'm using for frying!

I was so excited when you reviewed the rolling unseat bag I bought 2. My son would love the backpack version, and he ALWAYS carries a water bottle so that pocket is a must.

This looks perfect for quick weekend trips, the ability to add waist straps is one of my favorite features
This looks like a fantastic bag and I definitely want one for my upcoming international trip where every inch of space will be a premium. Very well thought out and pretty much perfect, and I'm impressed that this small size holds so much! I only wish the laptop compartment was padded and more easily accessible (part of the front panel ideally) but overall that's not a huge complaint. Absolutely love it and the price is great, too!

I juat ordered something similar from Amazon. I ahve been waiting to get one and they ran a deal on a pink for $20. Well made and look forward to putting it to use. I think the brick method without packint cubes will work better.

I can't always carry a lot on my back (I'm also short), but if it's balanced and has the additional support straps then I do prefer backpacks (especially if anti-theft).
Would love a slightly smaller version of this, since some of Alaska Airlines planes have smaller underseat, like 14x12x9.

Do I NEED them? No. Do I WANT them? YES. I want both. I could easily travel for a very long time with both bags. It would make euro train travel so easy. The bags would fit any style airplane, even Canadair.

Lauren, that backpack looks like a winner! I liked my Motherlode Jr. backpack for similar reasons, but the water bottle holder on that is worthless! It's also quite heavy (main reason for giving it up a while back), so I'm curious what the Underseat Pro backpack weighs. Also, have you tried it on for comfort while packed? As far as access to an in-flight pouch or something, do you feel like this backpack allows that? Great review, as always!
I’ll have to pack it and try it on. When it comes to east access, I would just pack what I need in flight right on top :)
