I think I have it set to merged currently, I’d have to look. If you look at my 1 mic 2 pc streaming video I talk about how my specific audio is routed as opposed to the video

welp.... I wish I came down here before I made my purchases. I was attempting to setup a intel NUc as my streaming PC. I installed the 4k60 pro into the gaming PC... not gonna lie mostly because I thought that's what you meant in the video. guess I'll try to return the NUC and get a lower end full desktop PC. that was a full 2 days full of stress wondering why it wasn't working properly

I did what you said for audio but I am still not hearing anything through my headphones on my streaming pc. The desktop audio meter is not going up and down either.
EDIT: Figured it out. You have to click the settings button next to the 4k60 Pro, press properties, then down at the bottom you should see "Audio Output Mode" then in the dropdown, select "output desktop audio (directsound)" then hit done.

Thanks for the vid, in your Elgato 4k Capture Utility, your input EDI Mode is set to merged. Most guides I've seen they state to set this to internal.

Hey man great video ! I just have one question, I’m also using a display port out and an hdmi to the stream pc. When i do this my game is very lagging and audio is horrible. My question is would my capture card in my gaming pc not be good enough because it is putting out two displays ? Or could it be something else ? When i use two hdmis and go pass through its a lot better quality it still not as good if i eliminate the stream pc all together.

When i use this setup i can't change my audio to my headset on the streaming pc it just reverts back to the elgato cap card instantly, then seems to have a slight delay on the audio i'm hearing.
So I am trying to get my monitor from my desktop to display onto my laptop but it doesnt seem to show up as a device. But my laptop screen shows up on my desktop when I try to do the reverse

Hi P1xelPerfect. I have an issue with my 4k60 pro. I did the same thing as you. As I go to my streaming PC and download 4k Capture Utilty and run it on 1080p240 the screen is like green and flickering. I dont know why. Pls help.

ok so display goes to gaming monitor and a hdmi to the "IN" on the capture card but what i want to know is do I use display port on my streaming pc or hdmi from the out of capture card and in to the streaming monitor?

So I’ve got a 4k60 pro but I’m experiencing a couple of problem.
1. If I’m recording my games on the 4kutility there’s only my voice and no chat, no game sounds.
2. I’f I’m streaming my recording device is lagging or i’m experiencing frame drop on my actual stream please can you help me with this.

Hi, just saw your video. Before I finish ordering all my streaming equipement, I wonder if there is any gameplay audio delay/lag (say for competitive) doing it this way ? Since it has to go trough elgato and streaming PC which might be running a lot of stuff and in my case not that powerful. Thanks for the help ! Cheers
So there’s about a 15-20ms delay with the audio monitoring. It’s almost not noticeable, but if you are doing audio sync games like clone hero/guitar hero etc then you can’t do this method. I have since changed my dual pc method after making this video but it’s a bit more pricey
So once you put in your elgato in OBS, you don't touch the other settings that's listed in OBS under video capture device?

Hi, m8 how you are able to change refresh rate on ''monitor'' Elgato? It's not possible on my it's just gray on resolutions and on refresh rate so it's not possible to change there anything.

What if you play a game and it using the res of the elgato and not ur monitor? I have a 1080p elgato and 1440p monitor but the game I play reads my capture card as my monitor and keeps downscaling my monitor in game to 1080p… anyone know how to fix this for a 2 pc setup please help.

Whoa, wait a minute! OSB? How do I setup my capture card in sources on my recording PC? It comes up blank for "Video Capture Device" and my elgato drive was preinstalled by, assuming Windows Update?
how come i do everything and it’s all setup up properly and in NVCP (nvidia control panel) it says my elgato is on 240 hz but in advanced display settings in windows it’ll be on either 60-144hz and when i put that on 240hz also the elgato doesn’t pick the signal up bc if that’s on 60-144 wouldn’t it make the main monitor down scale to those numbers instead of it being at 240. plus both monitors are 1080p my stream pc monitor is a 75hz and the gaming pc monitor is a 240 but i’m someone that has the exact setup and works fine

I did all of this to a T except I use streamlabs and it wont work. Only way I can get it to work is in properties under my el gato and doing the direct sound option. feels like a slight delay though

Elgato 4K60 pro mk2 setup at 1080p144Hz with cloned display, when I launch game in full screen or minimize game, elgato show 'no signal' for a brief moment 5-6sec, will appreciate a solution this issue. btw game pc has gtx1060 and 1080p144Hz monitor connected through display port.

@1:30 , for me my monitor is on the right and the elgato is on the left. My main monitor is always greyed out. When I play MW2, in game settings the only monitor it lets me use is the elgato because for some reason the elgato is forcing control over my setup. How do I fix this? Spent several days. my main monitor is 1440p 240 and elgato i prefer 1440p but im not sure if thats whats causing issues. WHen i make elgato 1080p, it does the same issue so ive been doing research like crazy with no solutions.

After like 6 hours of researching I came across your video man and I followed every step and I finally have audio on my streaming pc. Before I came here I have ordered an extra hdmi 2.0 cable because I saw another video saying to connect one hdmi going from your gaming pc to the capture card IN slot and the other hdmi cable from your gaming monitor to the capture card OUT slot. What you think I should do with the extra hdmi cable should I still plug it in or no?
Nah, just leave it out. As long as you are getting your audio in obs and getting the frames you want then just keep it as a back up. Never hurts to have extra cables!

If my main gaming monitor that I want to duplicate is 1440p270hz, will it affect anything?
From my experience, as the 4k60 Pro Mk.2 only supports up to 1080p240hz, will it affect my main monitor's refresh rate? I heard that if you duplicate your main monitor to another one of lower resolution, it will lower the main monitor's refresh rate too.

Hi, I want to play on my main PC at 1440p and stream on my second PC at 1080p. Will this setup work? I'm guessing the step to duplicate screen is just going to make them both 1080p or I'm going to have possibly other issues?
Nope you’ll be fine this is what I do. Make sure the 4k elgato software is set to 1440p144 or 60, and in obs you can actually leave the resolution at 1080p and it will work fine.
I’m running a dual pc setup but my resolution is 2560x1440 1440hz and I’m getting massive screen tearing unless I open up obs + Elgato recording software… on the streaming rig! Please help me fix this… it’s driving me nuts
What if you’re using the capture card that is not in the computer?

Yep! Right click on the Elgato source in obs and click properties. Then click deactivate, wait about 3-4 seconds and click activate. Desync gone :)
Hey I joined the Discord to ask some questions but I'm asking here too (we never know :D)
So when I'm listening to something on my gaming pc, I hear it twice. (So I tried to mute the sound on my streaming pc and it actually works, I don't hear the sound coming from my gaming pc twice anymore)
And when I tried to record on my streaming pc, I can hear sounds from the gaming pc, but no sounds of desktop my mic works) is recorded... So on the vod, we can only hear my voice...
