I’ve been shadowing a junior doctor on my elective placement. Keep up the great work! Result enjoyed the video - I’m a student paramedic who’s also documenting my journey on UA-cam! So great to follow others like myself!
I thought you said Dr. Qureshi. Immediately knew he's either from India or Pakistan. He seems like such a great person. Normally ObGyn consultants here in Indo-Pak are famous for being a little grumpy (to put it mildly). He seems like a jolly person and fun to be around with.
I am from India and I think mr mahengesh is also from here...You think indo pak gyneas are grumpy ,in india I found many lady gyneacolists uptight whereas male counterparts are gentle, calm ,more careful ,listen to their patients properly and recieve more patient satisfaction, I don't know about pak gyneas.....
@@DrEzgiOzcan Just tell him one of the assistants at Andrology Solutions watched this. Love your vlogs, by the way. As someone considering graduate entry medicine, it is really motivational to see how you take it all in your stride!
I love your content I'm new to watching and find it very informative a lot of what you cover and refreshing that you show us an aspect outside of your profession and more personal side, thank you for sharing 🙏.
Thank you so much for posting this as this is a specialty that I see myself working in. It was very insightful and enjoyable to watch, please do a series of interviews with consultants from different specialties. 🙏😍
Hi! I would like to ask what would be the possible cause and treatment for my painful nodules at my groin area and armpit... i have these for about 3 years just come and go but i noticed this year my nodules are quite constant the only difference is that sometimes its painful sometimes not. Thank you in advance🙏🏼
hi, to become an ob gyn does it matter whether you choose to do BMBS, MBBS, MBchB etc or does it not matter as long as they get you the bachelor’s degree?
hi fab job on the video I'm indian and I want to pursue a career of OBGYN in uk I didnt quite understand it like if we wish to go to med school in uk do we have to have a degree first ?in india we dont usually need to get a degree before going to med school please help
He did answer but I don’t think it was clear. He came to the UK and worked outside of a training programme until he was familiar with the NHS and had his visa sorted. Once he did that he entered into the OBGYN training programme and is now a consultant
Wow, what a world of difference between UK doctors and American doctors lol. Telling your children not to just go into medicine for the money....The American doctors I know all have large houses, vacation homes, multiple luxury cars, maids, nannies, etc. The doctors all look forward to how much money they are going to be making.
It’s a totally different system - private vs state funded. Unfortunately in the private sector it means people go into the profession for the money and not the cause
@@DrEzgiOzcan But health care is also a business in some sense. I do believe that patients should have their choice of doctor, and doctors in practice should compete for patients and referrals through word of mouth. That could be a virtuous cycle. If doctors spend all these years in undergrad, medical school, and residency, and forego the money they could have earned elsewhere during those years, why not financially reward doctors for giving patients lifesaving care?
I tried so hardt o get into OBGYN, but i got into surgery instead. and that was because I couldn't get into OBG. however, I am going to try next year again!!
I really like the reasoning of his choice of obegyne speciality!!
A tip: watch movies on flixzone. Been using them for watching all kinds of movies these days.
@Edwin Roger yea, I've been using flixzone} for months myself :D

Hi ,, Actually I’m interested to do an elective in OBS/GYN at UK ,, can you help me , please ?
Hi!
You’ll need to get into contact with hospitals you’d want to do an elective in and follow their protocols
You are beautiful.Make a video how an international medical graduate can enter in pathology & radiology route in UK.
Hi! Sorry to hear about your troubles. Unfortunately I can’t give medical advice on social media
The Junior Doctor its okay i do understand😊
I'm am 12 and I aspire to be an OB/GYN!(:
hi, to become an ob gyn does it matter whether you choose to do BMBS, MBBS, MBchB etc or does it not matter as long as they get you the bachelor’s degree?
Hi, good question. No, the type of medical degree you obtain does not matter when applying to OBGYN
Will radiologist really loose job or will AI make their job easier?
great vid
Thanks!!
Is it hard to get matched to ObGyn residency if you are an IMG?
not necessarily. once you get your GMC licence and work in the NHS to gain experience, you can apply for a training post
wow
Where did he do his mbbs (med school)
Karnatak university
@@DrEzgiOzcan thank you 😁
The Junior Doctor i am too from karnataka n looking forward to get into obgyn

Hi!
You don’t need a degree to apply for medical school in the U.K. you can apply from the age of 18
@@DrEzgiOzcan thank you
nahhhh radiology 4 life :)
😂😂 it’s going to be the first speciality to be taken over by AI
@@DrEzgiOzcan
I guess I have to make quick $$$ before AI is going to take my job :)
@@DrEzgiOzcan it's never gonna happen, it's realistically impossible to replace radiology completely by AI.
he did not answer the question about how did he become a consultant without training program??
He did answer but I don’t think it was clear. He came to the UK and worked outside of a training programme until he was familiar with the NHS and had his visa sorted. Once he did that he entered into the OBGYN training programme and is now a consultant
Thank you for clarifying that, just one more question , can IMG who finished mrcog enter a training program?
Yes once they have their GMC license, VISA and familiarity with working in the NHS

it is a competitive specialty - especially in some parts of the country. great to hear you're persevering and applying again :)
