But, if we talk about quality of comedians, or comedy in general, British humor are definetly No.1, no doubt it !! 🏆🏅😎 ..
So, my opinion, American sense of humor are much more anodyne, infantile and superficial than British ... as i liked to say, American comedy are primary introduction with basic humor sense, " stupid " jokes, infantile capity .. showing you general rules of steping higher level class of comedy , called sharped, discerning, black-sarcastic or beautifly cynical British comedy .. This is the answer why Cleese, Atkinson, Moore, Izzard, Gervais, etc. ... do not mess up with those kind of comed..actors, 'cause it's not even the same category in the end ..😉😎 .

+Lucas Hurkmans Mr Bean is by no means his greatest work. It was a great experiment, to be sure, because it focussed solely on non-verbal humour, but Atkinson also had the strangest and most wonderful ways of delivering his lines that, of course, he couldn't show in Mr Bean. Blackadder was much better than Mr Bean.
I knew I'd find some justice for him here in the oment section, but dammit, how could he even be missed on that list to begin with? The guy is a genius and master of this art.

I still think Robin Williams in "Good Morning, Vietnam" is one of my favourite roles he took up. "The Truman Show" is one of my favourite Jim Carry movies, but "The Mask" is also a equal competitor. But Leslie Nielsen in "Airplane" is still comedy gold and his reoccurring role in the "Police Academy" movies has me re-watching them occasionally.

How is Adam Sandler not even an honorable mention? He OWNED the late 90s and early 2000s comedy with movies like Happy Gilmore and Big Daddy. Sure his stuff of late is... we dont talk about that.. but his early work was truely fantastic

What about Rowan Atkinson? He is legendary as Mr. Bean and you can definitely see that he gets his comedic stylings from Charlie Chaplin. He's also very good as a voice actor having done the voice of Zazu in The Lion King. I also agree with some other people here that Steve Martin and John Candy should have been on this list too. I love John Candy. My favorite movie he is in is Cool Runnings, which sadly was his last major film. That movie proved that not only can he be funny but he can do serious and heartwarming all at the same time. I've been told forever by my mother that if I want to see John Candy at his best, I need to watch Uncle Buck. I haven't gotten there yet but I'm sure I'll really enjoy his performance. I'm also a big fan of early Adam Sandler, meaning his movies directly after he left SNL. The Wedding Singer, Big Daddy, Mr. Deeds, and 50 First Dates are some of my favorite comedy movies. The only drawback to some of those movies is his sometimes overuse of gross out or overly sexualized humor. In terms of one of those that is on the list, I really like Eddie Murphy. Coming to America is one of my favorite 80's movies. One thing that has become almost a staple of his way out there comedy movies that was completely shocking (in a good way) to me when I first watched this movie was how many secondary characters he plays. Sometimes these characters are all together in the same scene. In Coming to America Eddie plays about 4-5 old crotchety men who hang out or work at the barber shop located right below the apartment that Akeem and his friend rent. One of those old men is a putzy white Jewish guy and Eddie did that character as well. The makeup and the voices he uses makes you forget he is playing all of these characters at once. Of course, like most people, I fell even more in love with his acting when he voiced Donkey in Shrek. Those movies for him were just one long standup routine, but without all of the racial twinges or profanity. Overall, not a bad list, just slightly incomplete.

Monty Pyton, Three Stooges, and Cantinflas (I know he was mexican so he doesnt count, since Watch Mojo again excluded everything non english) Cantinflas was a genius, to the point Chaplin called him the best comedian ever. The only problem is that his comedy came from the way he talked, so non spanish speakers won't get him,

I'm from Sweden, but I've understood his movies were pretty well recieved over here and a company have released all of the movies in which he's the starring actor, on DVD. I have all of them! Love his style.

This list had a lot of lame choices, but they were absolutely CORRECT when it came to Charlie Chaplin being first and best!!! He paved the way for so many films and comedians after him!!! He is probably the most iconic film actor in Hollywood history.
Jonah Hill's honourable mention should've gone to someone else. IMO he hasn't yet proven himself to be of the same standard as Bill Murray, Will Ferrel or even Robin Williams(RIP) although it has to be said, Robin Williams truly was, and still is, in a league of his own.
