Stephen Colbert once asked Keanu Reeves: "What do you think happens when we die?" Keanu thought for a couple of seconds. Then he said: "I think there will be people who miss us." Such an unexpected, thoughtful, and unselfish answer. 🤗🤗
He said it that way, because he, Keanu Reeves, is actually an atheist!! For real. He doesn’t believe in God. So he doesn’t believe what the Bible says about what happens when a person dies. He was making light of the question…He’s wrong. 📖 ✝️🙏🏻🕊️
Keanu Reeves did not really grow up in New York . Reeves and his family moved to a house in Canada when he was about seven years old, which he says is how he became a Canadian. Reeves added that he was raised in Toronto, where he first attended Jesse Ketchum, now a junior and senior public school.
Keanu was born in Beirut, Lebanon to an English mother and Hawaiian father of Asian descent. At the age of 2 his parents split and along with his mother and sister moved to Sydney Australia until he was 7. They then moved to NYC for a short time and then moved on to Toronto. Keanu identifies as Canadian. So he spent very little time in NYC.
This won’t matter to some people, but I’m disappointed that Keanu Reeves is actually an atheist. And those are my personal feelings, disappointment, and I won’t apologize for them.
@@gerardmackay8909 I’m not here to debate if Keanu Reeves is likable or not…My disappointment is for his sake, and not mine. No one goes to heaven without believing in Jesus Christ and it won’t matter how nice they are. I’m sure Reeves doesn’t believe there’s a heaven, or hell, since he’s an atheist, but there is. Being known as a nice guy, or generous, or intelligent isn’t going to save him, and that’s true for everyone. And btw, there are many highly intelligent people that believe in God, including scientists, (some were once atheists) but they now believe in God and Jesus Christ. They actually found evidence of Gods existence and that Jesus Christ existed and did everything the Bible says He did!

How much money do you need? I have some money in the bank, but it's not getting spent for anything. It's just this weird psychological security that often besets those of us in our elder years. However, it's better to share some of your accumulated wealth, when occasions arise, with those in greater need. And you are so right about what defines poverty! Thank you so much for your comment.

Doesn't Keanu have something like 20 motorcycles and some high end sports cars? Most normal people don't have all that stuff. So while is may be more humble and less materialistic than most celebrities, he clearly likes certain stuff a lot.
@@terri348 Point being is that he has significantly more than most people do. The video tried to paint him as some sort of non materialistic Buddha or renunciant type. Clearly that is not true. That's all I was saying/pointing out. I don't think this makes him a bad person or anything. He seems like one of the more down to earth and humble celebrities out there.
They aren't living like they are poor, they're living like they have common sense and decency. Even A-list actors will eventually retire. These 20 will retire comfortably because they didn't spend every time they made trying to be fancy!
While I applaud frugality for the sake of their bank account and the environment, I don't believe they are still couponing at that financial level. If you're worth more than $5M, cutting coupons isn't worth your time and is not practical. You are worth so much more per minute and you could be doing something more productive with your time. Daryl Hanna is worth $15M and selling her garden produce at the market?! That's BS. Either she's just giving them away or doesn't have enough money.
Hanna most likely has a line of products sold under her name for more than they're actually worth....many famous people have perfume, makeup and clothing lines....they, however are not doing the selling themselves

Gee, I thought I might actually get to see some of the stars' modest surroundings. But no, I only get to hear about them. Might as well have been listening to the radio.
This is such a ridiculous video. One actress was praised for clipping coupons and only spending a budget of $22K a month (according to her divorce papers presented to the courts). WHAT!!! $22,000 a month. That would be most people's dream!! This video is just insulting and frankly apart from Keanu and a couple of others I didn't see where anyone was a philanthropist!!!! Just cheapskates amassing a fortune for goodness sakes what. Pathetic.
Oh please. Sam Walton used to adore making it appear as though he was salt of the Earth driving an old truck. I notice there is not a single image of the homes they live in.
"True wealth lies in compassion and generosity.." Literally the exact opposite of the actual facts. True wealth lies in er... having loads of money. Maybe spiritual or even metaphorical wealth lies in compassion and generosity.. But we can't just go changing the meaning of words to suit the agenda of what we're saying. That way lies madness.
Although my family is not wealthy, even if I was, I agree about the space of fancy mansions being too much for me. I don't like all that space which is a good thing since I couldn't afford it anyway lol.
If you're a billionaire, You could just go down and buy a cartier wristwatch, But not just anybody finds one in a garage sale for 50 cents! It's sort of like cheap gambling, But you don't lose anything... You just might not win. But "not winning" costs you nothing Except a few minutes to look through. I have found some winning deals in people's garage sales!
The one older guy with the scraggly beard hass a net worth of 50 million? That is NOT.a lot of money these days. Hope he has a good savings account. AND wgats with having TWO houses on the sane block? Is it a rental or does he houze his cats in one?
I don't know what planet you're from, but $50 million IS A LOT of money! If handled wisely, one could live very comfortably on the interest dividends alone without EVER making a dent in that amount. It's the half-wits who spend, spend, and then spend more that destroy their wealth, and don't realize that ANY amount of money can ALWAYS be lost.
Mila and Ashton are raising kids that they constantly remind them of the fact they are poor, and mom and dad are rich just sounds like parents being mean to their kids😂😂😂😂
Technicly they are correct,Mila and Ashton have the money the children are poor they only have what their parent's chose to give them. Doesn't mean the kids are neglected but it also instills a sense of understanding that their parents can provide for them fairly without turning them into entitled brats.
It just makes me wonder. Ive read of folks like that not leaving the inheritance to the children. Leaving the money to a non profit. It would just depend on the kid I guess. Also The circumstance.
"Who has not heard of Keanu Reeves..?" Well I've heard of Keanu. But more interesting in my case is the fact that I share a birthdate (year as well) with his co-star Alex Winter.

Is it just me or does the idea of having $160M cause you some anxiety? Don't get me wrong, I'd like more money than I have, but that kind of wealth sounds daunting. I couldn't spend the interest on that kind of money, I'd have employ someone to give it away. No, no thank-you.
I would put enough up for a modest retirement, build a nice homeless shelter and an animal sanctuary....I really don't like a lot of stuff or big houses......
@@mightymouse1005 Yeah, I'd need to employ people to give the money away to good causes. A homeless shelter and animal sanctuary sound nice. I also thought a daycare center for the elderly would be good. Any charity really, just to get rid of most of it. What good does it do me, to have more money than I can spend? Once I have my needs met and a little leftover for some wants, the money's only true value is what it can do for others.
The tease implies that living in modest houses is for "poor" folks only. The tease might more accurately say that some people who might afford larger houses choose not to. Will the next report cover those who could afford more costly automobiles and custom-tailored clothing?

No, stop. Who takes a BUS to rescue a dog from a shelter? (NOT Keanu Reeves, I promise.) I'm just saying, dogs in most cities aren't welcome on buses without certification, and our local shelter needs to know you have a ride before they adopt out. Now I'm annoyed less than 1 minute into the thing, and I have this dilemma of whether to continue a video I think may exaggerate the facts...
These actors & actresses have a very astute business head. So much money is lost chasing bling & extravagance, with nothing later in life to show for it. Plus the enormous amount of money & taxes being spent for up keep draining your finances. I applaud these actors & actresses in their choices & decision making!
300m if have 5m I would live like king and like no tomorrow ever day ....I would stay at home. ....like no work Am free 😂😂😂😂 Grant me my 100millions then I show you how I would spend it ??? Am waiting !!!
Exactly I don't know why people feel they need so much space either, its more space to protect also. The less you have the less others want to take from you. The more money you have to help others or do whatever you want with it instead of spending on a huge dwelling. When you blend in, as a famous person, perhaps makes it easier to hide from paparazzi. . . or pay others to keep them away from you and provide them with a job.

Doesn't Keanu have something like 20 motorcycles and some high end sports cars? Most normal people don't have all that stuff. So while is may be more humble and less materialistic than most celebrities, he clearly likes certain stuff a lot.
Keanu owns a motorcycle company. So of course he has motorcycles.
If wealthy celebrities grew up in modest homes, maybe they feel more comfortable living in modest but comfortable homes. That seems possible.
Julia Roberts owns multiple mansions and a sprawling ranch in Taos New Mexico. She drives multiple luxury cars such as Mercedes Benz.
I am so proud of famous people think like that and do it
Halle lives in a huge mansion. It's very easy to find pics online.
@@mightymouse1005 So, it's a business venture--not living like an average/poor person.
In My "Experience(s)"...
Those That FEAR The "SuperNatural", Have Something That "Weighs" On Their Conscience.🤔
(If You Fear "ThePrice", Don't Make "TheDeal".)🤷
It's nice to know that even some celebrities like to live frugally. I applaud them. Just because you have lots of money doesn't mean you have to live like a millionaire. by having all the yachts, mansions, expensive cars. These people like the simple life.
Gee, I thought I might actually get to see some of the stars' modest surroundings. But no, I only get to hear about them. Might as well have been listening to the radio.
You mean the inside of Dicaprio jet and mansions? That's plural
Pathetic.
Yep!
Some ads are idiocracy 🤮
Oh please. Sam Walton used to adore making it appear as though he was salt of the Earth driving an old truck. I notice there is not a single image of the homes they live in.
Frugal living is very important
A "Shire-sized mansion" would be tiny.
Just one of several mistakes in this video.
"True wealth lies in compassion and generosity.."
Literally the exact opposite of the actual facts. True wealth lies in er... having loads of money. Maybe spiritual or even metaphorical wealth lies in compassion and generosity.. But we can't just go changing the meaning of words to suit the agenda of what we're saying. That way lies madness.
Less is best...no worries!
Think maybe you could learn to get simple facts right, as well as pronunciations?
Although my family is not wealthy, even if I was, I agree about the space of fancy mansions being too much for me. I don't like all that space which is a good thing since I couldn't afford it anyway lol.
If you're a billionaire, You could just go down and buy a cartier wristwatch, But not just anybody finds one in a garage sale for 50 cents! It's sort of like cheap gambling, But you don't lose anything... You just might not win.
But "not winning" costs you nothing Except a few minutes to look through. I have found some winning deals in people's garage sales!
I am sure Julia gets a LOT of work for $10!
Good to know they haven't changed there ways
Mila and Ashton are raising kids that they constantly remind them of the fact they are poor, and mom and dad are rich just sounds like parents being mean to their kids😂😂😂😂
This will do something negative to them, it's not right.
Ain't nothing wrong with that. Live frugal and save that money for a rainy day. Stay humble and natural, y'all.
Kristen Bell on Craig Ferguson’s show is some of the best TV ever.
"Who has not heard of Keanu Reeves..?"
Well I've heard of Keanu. But more interesting in my case is the fact that I share a birthdate (year as well) with his co-star Alex Winter.
I share a bday with Elvis...different years tho
I share a birthday with other people.
Ed Sheeran should not be on this list.He spends his money on very expensive watches. He has a hell of a collection several million dollars worth
Yet he can only wear one at a time, can only eat so much, drive one car at a time etc. I guess they think 'mmm..I have all this money but what's the point of it if I don't use it to make me happier' ?
Living in Courtney Cox spare room isn’t exactly slumming either, it probably has its own bathroom and sitting room.
And don't forget the sun porch
@@daler.steffy1047 they say “spare room” so we think about the spare rooms in our houses and not the spare rooms in a multimillion dollar gated estate.
I don't like huge homes....if i was a billionaire, i would still have a regular house in the country....i would have a animals sanctuary tho
Not pissed or jealous, just saying its kind of rediculas that this click bait touts its information.
Everyone knows who Michael Jordan from the Chicago Bulls is. Its been reported that he does not TIP. Doesnt believe in it. Sweet guy.
ridiculous
Living poor or Minimalist? Theres nothing wrong with being a non-materialist.
> SPOILER ALERT <
NOT A SINGLE HOLLYWOOD A-LIST ACTOR LIVES LIKE THEY ARE 'POOR.'
ABSOLUTE NONSENSE!
Why didn't you show the pictures of their house if they are living so poor
If this is true ,these people know the difference between needs and wants .
Keanu is Canadian. Don't you research who or what you're presenting before you actually do it?
Keanu is wealthy beyond what anyone can imagine.
Mmmm... Keanu likes Ducatis... but that's OK... I get that.
Keanu Reeves was born in Beirut and raised in Toronto, he is a Canadian citizen
Will the next report cover those who could afford more costly automobiles and custom-tailored clothing?
they are so frugal
All true.
Your way off on Ed Sheeran. He has a wife & children. He's no couch surfing anymore! You have quite a few un factual things wrong.. You need do better research.
Keanu Reeves was raised in Canada, not NY. He is also a Canadian citizen.
Ryan and Blakey are Best Buddies with Tay-Tay Swift. I doubt that happens when you are living the Simple Life.
What I learned from the first few minutes of this: if I ever want to work in special effects or stage makeup, I need to make sure that I am working on a movie that Keanu Reeves is starring in
I would never be rich i would be to busy giving my money away to those who need it thats just how i am .
Tiffany looks like Vivica Fox in her younger years
Not factual 😊
These actors & actresses have a very astute business head. So much money is lost chasing bling & extravagance, with nothing later in life to show for it. Plus the enormous amount of money & taxes being spent for up keep draining your finances. I applaud these actors & actresses in their choices & decision making!
Anyone with their own home is rich in my opinion ❤
300m if have 5m I would live like king and like no tomorrow ever day ....I would stay at home. ....like no work Am free 😂😂😂😂 Grant me my 100millions then I show you how I would spend it ??? Am waiting !!!
Their frugality will more plausibly assure their having continued resources/emergency funds❤❤❤
This is what I’m talking about people celebrities that you might want to look up to and I say might.
