Geeze, they really make things difficult to get to to repair. I thought our JD D-130 was bad, but wow. You did a great job, even showing difficulties with pesky “C” clip. Thanks for highlighting the number of teeth in the starter gear. When you look on line to purchase there are 14, 15, & 16 tooth gears.
That is a strange one to get removed I been there did that many times the thing is that I would like to remove the fly wheel to get the bolt under the fly wheel out much better

Thanks! I have a similar engine and starter configuration. I thought I would need to remove the flywheel.
Thanks for watching! See my video about NOT buying those cheap gears from Amazon.

Hello, thank you for this video. A few questions, is the gear plastic or metallic? Is there also metallic? Which is more convenient?
@@eduardomalcom2228 it is plastic. However, watch this video too avoid my mistake: ua-cam.com/video/QP9rDVynxKI/v-deo.htmlsi=3ApyuovTtb7J-fiD

I just didn't want to mess with the flywheel. Thanks for watching.
@@RealManSkills cool beans 🫘 there real Man skills the best one Cap is the one that has the roll pin that you just knock out of the starter Cap
In a pinch? Turn that old one over and put it back on! It started mine 🫡👍, I'm not going to put the new one on till this one quits.
