Black Sails......... no, it's called Black Seas. At 6m50secs you can read at the back which ships you get: three frigates and six brigs. True, it is a lot you get for a descent amount of money. I can't wait to get started with my set.
Love this period for naval battles - I'm a big fan of AH's 'Wooden Ships and Iron Men'. 1/700 seems a little large for fleet actions but good for squadrons or single ship - not sure the rigging would be visible at that scale, so I'd be tempted to forget it. NB the hollow base might be for weights? Very tempted to buy this myself now ...
I'm very interested in this sort of games, have only played one naval game and that was WW2. If you have acces to a 3D printer, there is a file in thingiverse for a tool to create ratlines in different scales, that might be useful.
