Jace is adorable- I need a nap after Jace's busy day. I felt his pain when you wakes him from his nap. It was like "What mama I was dreaming!" 😘

Another useful tip to store milk! I pour my milk into an ice cube tray (each cube is 1oz) so I can defrost exactly the amount baby drinks. As baby gets older, he drinks more than what you have in your twist freezer bags, so adding an ounce or 2 this way is so easy!

In regards to the plastic milk storage bags, yes they are only a one time use. Unfortunately, there are no reusable breast milk storage bags. Breast milk bags are generally pre-sterilized and intended for a single use. That is why I also pump into bottles throughout the day and refrigerate. This helps me use less plastic bags.

I agree! I am actually going to seriously consider the breastfeeding and simultaneously manual pumping thing, when the time comes. I just have to find similar gadgets in my country. 🙄
I love the idea of the Kinde bottles but I think I would feel guilty being more wasteful than I already think I am lol. I wish they made them recyclable or biodegradable and then I would for sure buy them.

I’m very much sold on the Kiinde system. Less milk loss, less germs, less colic due to less air, less dishes, and it goes with any brand nipple or pump. Sign me up! This video came at a perfect time! I’m 35 weeks and about to buy all the breastpumping and bottle supplies because that is pretty much the only thing I didn’t get at the shower.

Your baby is adorable and you guys seem like really lovely parents, question though: wouldn’t the twist system use a LOT of single use plastics? Totally understand the convenience of it and that it could be time saving for a hard working new momma, but if you’re using multiple of these a day for months on end, might not be very environmentally friendly :/ just something to think about!
Jessica Vaisz how do you store your breast milk otherwise? Haven’t seen anything other than plastic bags that should definitely not be reused. Curious if there’s other options
If we really want to save the environment, we need to look worldwide. The 10 largest emitters of oceanic plastic pollution worldwide are, from the most to the least, China, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Egypt, Malaysia, Nigeria, and Bangladesh. America is not that big of an contributor honestly. Yet we are constantly trying to decrease our emissions, which is good. Unless we do something about the sovereign countries who expel waste constantly, nothing will work in the grand scheme of things. Being sovereign means we can’t truly make them do anything. Even if we had no emissions or waste in our country, the world would still be suffering greatly because we only contribute a small amount. Just something to think about.
Regardless you’re going to throw away bags unless you’re not storing milk.

Make sure to refrigerate freshly pumped milk BEFORE consolidating it with a bottle that’s already in the fridge (don’t add it if it’s still warm like literally just pumped)

Every time you bottle feed, be sure you’re replacing it with a double side pump. Otherwise your supply will go down .
I think it’s great that Jace falls asleep on his own. My daughter was a terrible napper/sleeper. I literally had to rock her to sleep and as soon as I tried to put her down she was up again. It was the worst.
Sometimes he does, not always! But yeah it can be exhausting always rocking them to sleep.
My 3 month old daughter only falls asleep while being rocked, held or carried in a wrap 🤷♀️ after she is asleep she sleeps very well though. But I do wish she would fall asleep on her own 😁

Jace is such a good baby and he is so cute as well and you can keep him by him self and he never crys he is so cute in every way and he can go to sleep loads he never ever crys and he dousnt cry if he wants any think he is a hungry baby but he dousnt cry when he wants some think and he loves to sleep and he loves to play and he loves going to sleep and loves playing
This is a Romanian thing . You get sanitary alcohol (spirt in Romanian) it’s blue and you can get a cotton pad and put the alcohol on his body except head . It makes the sling soft and healthy

The kiinde (sp?) bag to bottle idea is so handy! It’s a shame the bags aren’t reusable though, the amount of plastic that must be wasted after a one-use feed over a month must be so much!
Also just an opinion when he’s on the play mat or during any time it’s better for the mits to be off as it will allow him to feel the material of the mat and his skin, similar to the aims of sensory play and development.

So i noticed Jace isn't asleep when you put him down for nap. Does he typically fall asleep on his own everytime? I also noticed he uses a pacifier during naps and sleep. I tried this with my little one and it seems to fall out of his mouth so he will wake up crying. Do you think the pacifier is what is putting hom to sleep or is it the combination of the noise machine as well as lights off? Sorry for all the questions but I'm just a first time mom trying to learn and you make it look so easy.
Good questions! Yes the white noise, swaddle and lights out are a routine that shows him it’s nap time. Sometimes he falls asleep on his own and sometimes I have to rock him a bit more to get him tired before. Paci is something we put in his mouth only if he’s struggling to get soothed, kind of a last resort. The books I mentioned taught me ALOT so I recommend them if you need some guidance! Didn’t go through all the comments and not sure if you know , but your not supposed to mix refrigerated and fresh warm milk together . It can cause contamination.

How did you establish a schedule for the baby? Did he stay in his crib right away? And how many times do you pump a day? My baby doesn’t like his bassinet still getting him used to it and swaddling he never got used to it either mama struggling over here and how many weeks is your baby?

My baby has just turned 6 weeks old on Tuesday. I'm curious to know what you use for his bath, my baby has very rough cheeks and we try putting eczema lotion on them every day but it never gets better. Do you use anything on Jace's face?

We haven’t used anything, only tried to put breast milk and it soothes it somewhat
My milk has all dried out :( and that AOO is way out of budget. Hopefully we can find something. Thanks!
Aquaphor baby helps my baby. My pediatrician gave us a medication to use but sent us samples like dove baby head to toe wash and then aquaphor baby for his lotion every day. But I don’t bathe him everyday due to his eczema that he has. But use the lotion everyday it will clear up. Hope this helps!
