The doctor was like “well, he seems fine you can all go home now” 🤣

To avoid getting peed on with your baby boy as soon as you remove the diaper put a baby wipe over his private area to kinda act as a splash guard. Learned that trick from my mom and in all the years that I’ve worked with baby boys I’ve never been peed on
This is what I was taught as well. I can't remember if I learned it from a family member or if it was something i learned from a baby sitting class. But yeah, you have to keep baby boys covered when you change them.

We dialed the nurse immediately 😂 and then she just came by and just brushed off our worries haha and explained it’s just from the hormones.
Very accurate information. I always passed a baby wipe under his bellybutton, wait few seconds and then start with diaper change. That will make him pee if he needs to.

You definitely don't need to circumcise, if you clean them and teach them to clean properly they'll be fine, they'll probably get an infection at some point if they stay in daycare because they might forget to clean them right but just keep an eye on them, you don't wanna do it and hurt them in the long run if the procedure or healing goes wrong
Until puberty I don't think most can even pull their foreskin back, and before that happens it doesn't need to be cleaned, forcing it back can cause a lot of damage (This is what I've experienced and heard at least)
If your daycare isn't cleaning your child that's a seperate issue in itself. I'm anti circumcision, but it's a nursery or daycares job to clean the children. That's negligence
My dad had problems with his extra skin and it was tight and painful. So he had to get a circumcision at 16. My parents drilled it into my head. And it could be hereditary. My nephew didn't get a circumcision and he is having the same problem my dad did. So I'm glad we did that and also hospital find it easier when they are circumcised cause of the catheter.
I’ve had 2 boys and a girl and I’m currently pregnant with a girl, the one thing about girls is that they can get poop inside of them so making sure everything is nice and clean is very important.
When I had my daughter i was always so worried about her getting poop in the privates I would always make sure to clean her very well and even clean very carefully with a qtip when it was runny poop
I was concerned too with my daughter about the poop getting in the vaginal opening so I was careful to clean it out. Wish I’d known then that the vagina opening is very shallow in baby girls. The vagina is not fully developed. So a little poop on the outside isn’t really going to go anywhere. It will be washed away next time they pee but try to clean it as much as possible.
The bathroom humor is so spot on! My bf thinks it’s so funny and now that we are expecting a boy in 3 months I was wondering what life would look like living with two boys. Looks like the bathroom humor won’t be stopping anytime soon! 😫
I had a girl first and was scared when I found out my second was a boy. All my boy mom friends said boys are easier. Let me tell you they are wrong. Diaper changes are 50x harder than a girl. I was never peed on by my daughter. As a toddler my son is 100x more wild and messy than my daughter ever was. Baby girls are so much easier than baby boys.
@@Thatonechick778 Boys are more difficult when they're teenagers for they can commit crimes, be sexually Immoral, do Drugs, or be effeminate and useless. They need a good father to make decent men out of them. My niece at 19 is studying to be a Cardiologist and is a religious Christian lady while my nephew plays video games like a bum. Makes you not want any boys at all.

Kids if Bilingual households also start talking later on but when they do it’s both languages. My family members have English / Korean and the babies just have more to process before talking haha.
@Sapphire having friends with a baby learning each parents language, they just talk to him in each or their own language. What I've read on the subject (as my partner is also from a different country than I) that seems to be the best way to do it. The baby will maybe in the beginning have a mix-matched language but later will differentiate between them
My now adult daughter, and her father had real giggle fest over farts at diaper change time. On sticky poop thing, my mom was oldest of 6. Her brother was born when she was in high school, and mother in law had 4 boys. Lots if help. Keep an extra diaper to put on top of wee wee to prevent wee wee in the face. Another was a very wet warm, thin wash cloth to wash boy parts. Wet wipes are often not wet enough for that
@@PrincessofKeys no. But non existent hypothetical babies whos gender i dont know are. Babies also cant be "given back" when they just came out of your uterus. So i was obviously joking.

Just a tip to not get peed on! They react to the air and they pee. When you unlatch the diaper just hold it there for a second until he stops peeing then you can finish changing him! Just what I was taught Hope this helps😊
I’m a mom of 3! My first 2 were girls, and I had my boy in August. I definitely agree with diaper changes! Changing my sons diaper is WAY HARDER, than changing my girls, even with all the folds lol. PLUS the surprise of getting peed on was not fun lol.
I have a daughter, almost 16 months, and she enjoys making me laugh and farts on purpose and loud 🤣🤣🙈 and girls moms also get peed on. She even did a number 2 on my lap after giving her a bath while drying her hair. Love this video, made me laugh so hard 🤣🤣 your boy is sooo cute 🥰
Coming from a big family with mixed genders and working in childcare really taught me a lot about the differences between boys and girls. My husband has only brothers but he still got peed on whilst I would open the nappy and quickly cover him back up with it. It lets air hit it which triggers a pee and never been peed on! A friend and I were discussing the behavioural differences between boys and girls and we had read a study that shows that people tend to give slightly more attention to girls than boys as they’re seen as “weaker” than the boys. This can lead to speaking a little bit later in development and less empathy. After this discussion, I made sure that I didn’t show him any less attention than if he was a girl. He’s now 13 months who is very empathic, sweet and has a decent vocabulary range. And yeah boy nappies are more difficult, testicles are annoying to clean especially since they LOVE to touch their bits every single time they’re out
I remember when me and my husband brought our son home , took off his diaper and pee just went everywhere all over me and the bed his blanket and clothes !! I just screamed it was hilarious 🤣🤣
One time my babies tinny thing was upside while cleaning him..and he peed all over himself 🥺 loo even went on his face ,eyes may be mouth ...i felt sooo soo bad and guilty of being such a bad mother...but then second day when i told my mom she laughed and said its ok it probably happens with every single baby boy
Love this video! About developing language skills, it is different per child. The boy I babysit started talking when he was about 6 months. His first word was "bloem" which translates to flower 🌼
I've heard that a boy's parts are actually inflamed because of all the mother's estrogen surging through his veins... really interesting video anyways! And good to know as I'm expecting a boy after having a girl ☺☺❤
Yes, that is correct they can also have swollen areas on their chest called breast buds. Feels like a lump under the nipple and can even have milk come out of it. But it is all the hormones from the mother clearing out of their system. I think these things only last a couple days.
I think that would make sense since the girls will have some discharge or blood from their vagina for a few days after birth because of moms hormones. It would stand to reason that those hormones would effect boys too
Toddler and preschool boys are freaking nuts. We have 2/3 boys and 1/3 girls in the toddler room at the daycare and let me tell you, nothing can prepare you for the crazy!
I have two sisters , well a twin sister and a older sister , I never had a brother so having a baby boy was definitely surprising as you say! Everything you said was things I never heard of either and felt relieved I wasn’t the only one 😅 and I also named my 7 month old son “ Jayce “ 😊
Thank you for this! I have one daughter and I’m expecting my first son and even though I’m a mom already I feel nervous about all the things I don’t know about boys. This was really helpful!
Also, be prepared for the same question "are you gonna have him circumcised " asked by almost every Dr, nurse, pediatrician etc. For about 2 months after he was born.
@@shanderadavis2641 It’s not a fetish, it’s just how they were taught in school and in practice. They genuinely think it’s what’s best. Many schools and textbooks still (falsely) teach that it has medical benefits. Unfortunately, it’s common for much of a doctor or nurse’s clinical training/observation/shadowing/teaching to be done by much older superiors who still abide by “old school” medical practices, even if those practices have been disproven or found to not be the best option by recent studies and medical journals. Circumcision has long been taught to be what’s medically best, and it’s only more recently in the US that people have finally started recognizing that for the vast majority of males it isn’t what’s best and it isn’t medically necessary. Hopefully as the percentage of circumcised boys continues to decrease, we’ll see more of a positive, more fact focused, shift in the medical field on the topic, rather than the current false misconceptions still being taught to healthcare workers as fact.
Yes! This really kind of frustrated me. We decided not to circumcise out son and we were always told how it was totally fine. But at the same time the constant asking about it again and again after the fact kind of feels “judgy”. Like they are trying to subtly influence you to do it.

I was always told boys did this but my son never did. He's potty trained for a couple years now so but he never ever peed while getting changed. My daughter did though...
I am not a mother or anything close to it, but I think why people say that it is harder to change a baby girl's diaper is because you have to be more careful so they don't get an infection or anything like that.
So helpful girl!!! I have a 3 year old little girl, and have always been raised with girls, so I’m terrified as I am 30 weeks with my son. Thank you! I didn’t know a lot of this!
I actually think there’s some research that suggests that parents discourage girls from being ‘adventurous’ more than they discourage boys. Which could account for the difference in injury rates.

“Bathroom humor” is not just a boy thing. There are plenty of women and girls who find it funny as well.
My aunt is a big bathroom humor fan lol, but I saw more guys who love that type of joke than girls.
@@myheartwillstopinjoy8142 yeah I’m kind of a “bathroom humor” chick and idk why, it’s mostly because my dad encourages it when we are hanging out.
@@caracalcontinuum3118 well, we pick up the sense of humor of people we hang out with most
The women in my family...oh boy...compared to them, you’d think my dad was a prude lol. 😂
Nothing funnier than a fart
I’m 5 months pregnant with a son and I love the way you explain everything it is so helpful. And I love your attitude so positive ❤
I am intact my mother made the right choice not circumcised me you are right as long as you properly clean it it will not getting infection or smell
@@sromero6738 FYI is not extra skin it is called foreskin
the music behind your childhood vs boys cracked me up aha love this video x
Oh yeah this is so true! Especially when my daughter sits in it, it’s hard to make sure sure nothing gets....inside hahaha
The bathroom humor is so spot on! My bf thinks it’s so funny and now that we are expecting a boy in 3 months I was wondering what life would look like living with two boys. Looks like the bathroom humor won’t be stopping anytime soon! 😫
35 weeks pregnant with my first boy. Definitely going to be an experience.
Maybe as they’re younger but I’ve heard when they hit teenage years then girls are more difficult 😬😬😬
Same, girl, same! 🙌 My son peed on everything the first few months lol! And he’s 1,000 times worse than my daughter was as a toddler!
@@Thatonechick778 Boys are more difficult when they're teenagers for they can commit crimes, be sexually
Immoral, do Drugs, or be effeminate and useless.
They need a good father to make decent men out of them.
My niece at 19 is studying to be a Cardiologist and is a religious Christian lady while my nephew plays video games like a bum.

Like you, I have 5 sisters, all my cousins are girls, and with Covid I haven't been able to spend much time with my infant nephews. I have a 2 year old daughter and now I am expecting a baby boy at the end of May! I have been SO nervous about having a boy, because I have no experience! Thanks for the head's up about this stuff! Very helpful info
We never taught him but our baby boy laughs every time we fart....🤦🏼♀️😂
@@amethystflower8799 hahahaha, thanks for that comment! Guessing you're a not a parent then??
Thank you for making this video! We are 21 weeks with a baby boy, and, like you, I grew up in a household of sisters (six of them!).
Kids if Bilingual households also start talking later on but when they do it’s both languages. My family members have English / Korean and the babies just have more to process before talking haha.
Please don’t spread misinformation. Studies that state that are outdated and were used in attempts to convince immigrants to solely speak English.
@Sapphire having friends with a baby learning each parents language, they just talk to him in each or their own language. What I've read on the subject (as my partner is also from a different country than I) that seems to be the best way to do it. The baby will maybe in the beginning have a mix-matched language but later will differentiate between them
My daughter laughed so hard everytime she farts. Farts really are just funny.
For the most part girls under 5 years old will think it’s hilarious as they grow it’s less funny lol while boys keep it going for a lot longer
@@SuperVandal101 hahahaha oh yes! This is so true. I have 4 brothers and 1 sister. The trend is there for sure.
Wet wipes are often not wet enough for that
Son talking full sentences at 12 months! Talked to him like a human.
@@me-xx2gl ......cool.
My baby legit got put on my chest and he immediately peed and pooped. Like no joke 😂 I was shocked he needed to pee so soon after being born
Yep, my baby boy peed on the midwife twice! Lol Not sure how he managed that!
Omg i would literally give it back if it did that. After vomiting all over it.
This is why i dont have kids.
@@HaleyStark. babies aren't an it....
@@PrincessofKeys no. But non existent hypothetical babies whos gender i dont know are.
Babies also cant be "given back" when they just came out of your uterus. So i was obviously joking.
@@HaleyStark.Well i think you can request to take them away if you want to give them up for adoption but i assume you have to arrange that prior and not give them away on the spot but I'm not sure
I have a two year old girl and now I’m expecting a boy in March and I have no clue about little boys so thank you so much for this video
Congratulations! 😊 Prayers for a safe and easy delivery and a healthy mom and baby! 💕
Thank you for mentioning that circumcision is not medically necessary. I appreciate that you brought that up.
I’m not pregnant, I’m 16 but I’m working at a daycare for the first time in the infant room. This video is definitely helpful!
And yeah boy nappies are more difficult, testicles are annoying to clean especially since they LOVE to touch their bits every single time they’re out
Wrong...
Boys cannot empathize... It's up to you to teach them to not hurt women so they grow up to be gentlemen and not rapers and child molesters!
Pregnant with baby number two and it’s a boy and I’m SO thankful you made this video.
First time momma expecting a baby boy in May so this was very helpful.
2nd pregnancy with my first boy… I definitely don’t know what to expect. Your video is very helpful!!
Don't circumcise your son, please.
Lmao the ad I got
It went “Speaking of diaper changes... PAMPERS”
Just got a random pampers ad in the middle of the sentence
It would stand to reason that those hormones would effect boys too
Yes! My son's testicals were darker, too (he's pretty light). They lightened up and got smaller after a couple weeks.
It’s mostly swelling, newborns are swollen
Toddler and preschool boys are freaking nuts. We have 2/3 boys and 1/3 girls in the toddler room at the daycare and let me tell you, nothing can prepare you for the crazy!

Oh my gosh. LOVED this video. Lol’d so many times. Expecting our son in a few weeks and can’t wait!
Appreciate the help. I'm expecting a boy and I had no clue about these things.
Also, be prepared for the same question "are you gonna have him circumcised " asked by almost every Dr, nurse, pediatrician etc. For about 2 months after he was born.
It's almost like American drs. And nurses have a fetish of cutting healthy tissue and 20,000 nerves off of our boys genitals
My midwife asked me once’s 😅
Yes! This really kind of frustrated me. We decided not to circumcise out son and we were always told how it was totally fine. But at the same time the constant asking about it again and again after the fact kind of feels “judgy”. Like they are trying to subtly influence you to do it.
Expecting my first boy in two weeks 😳 thanks sis. Didn’t know what to expect being new to boy mom life.
Farts are hilarious. Everyone does it, its natural. And its hilarious. Embrace the farts !

Before u change his diaper put a cool wipe on his tummy so he goes pee before U change him
Or put one over his "turtle" so if he does pee it don't go everywhere. Or the peeper tent things
I was always told boys did this but my son never did. He's potty trained for a couple years now so but he never ever peed while getting changed. My daughter did though...
It's to do with the cold shock

this has been extremely interesting for me as I am 22 weeks with my first son
I am so happy UA-cam recommend your video to me. I feel like you're my online sister, we have so much in common!!!!!
Mom of 4 boys, this is very accurate, especially the bathroom humor🤣
I am not a mother or anything close to it, but I think why people say that it is harder to change a baby girl's diaper is because you have to be more careful so they don't get an infection or anything like that.
So helpful girl!!! I have a 3 year old little girl, and have always been raised with girls, so I’m terrified as I am 30 weeks with my son. Thank you! I didn’t know a lot of this!
Baby boy will be here in a few days. Came back and watched this video! Solid info to know 😅😅
I actually think there’s some research that suggests that parents discourage girls from being ‘adventurous’ more than they discourage boys. Which could account for the difference in injury rates.
We put gender stereotypes on kids from the minute they’re born (again research to support this)
*first time here. took a lil peek of your channel, i’m staying.* 🥰
If I ever have a son I wouldn’t want him to be circumcised, but if it was medically necessary then yes
You should definitely get him circumcised he’ll thank you, it’s unhygienic because so much disgusting bacteria can be stuck under the foreskin
@@Euphoric_nails Such nonsense! You will have problems to find another first world country where parents mutilate their children so often for no medical reason. The area can be cleaned as easily as any other part of the body.
@@Euphoric_nails you literally pull it back when it separates from the head and I’m pretty sure water cleans it(that is what I have been told)
Edit; plus I live in England where you only have it for medical or religious reasons, and I’m not doing it for religious reasons because I’m not religious
If I done after birth the doctors literally cut off a piece of your babies skin with out any pain killers. It's wrong and cruel!
