I guess a better way to describe it is, since Rigby was worse he needed and got character development more, Mordecai was better off and got less, they still both got a lot but Mordecai seemed to get quite a bit less than Rigby

I mean, I don't remember many episodes where he was this much of a dipshit, only other ones really being Do me a solid and the one where he learns death kwon do to try and kick mordecai's ass over a damn game Edit: also the arm wrestling one where he cheats to humiliate skips but skips takes it too far and kills him over it so Rigby wasn't the only one (though it could be argued skips was less at fault and it was just a slip of character but still he could have restrained enough to at least leave Rigby alive)
There's one part in the season where he gets very pissed and leaves, then acknowledged them slacking off but still goes on shows that he enjoys his job even with the two causing trouble in the next fewer seasons which is quite nice.
I dunno about modern cartoons, but this was a recurring theme in older shows where the 'best friends' would come off as just people who'd tolerate each cuz they didn't have anyone else to hang out with. sometimes shows has the 'friends' acting more like enemies than anything. Regular Show is by no means a bad cartoon, but in early seasons there were times where I questioned why Mordecai was friends with Rigby. 😂

I was about to comment on "Do me a Solid." To me this was the lowest Rigby ever got in terms of behavior to his friends (he still had very bad behavior to other people in other episodes though.) This was beyond mean and I didn't buy Mordecai's forgiveness at the end. That would have been a friendship ending right there if it wasn't the end of the episode.
@Calebe Souza Rigby started as an awful character, but he improved himself since season 1. He is easily the character with the biggest amount of growth in the entire series, making him far more likeable than Mordecai as you keep watching. Mordecai mostly stayed the same except that he did get over Margaret and CJ.

B - They didn't know what would happen if they fell so when Rigby pushes him Mordecai pushes back not knowing Rigby would die. Making it a complete accident. He tries to kill or at least brutally hurt Mordecai four episodes into the show over a video game. Mordecai saves Rigbys life far more than vice versa. Also Rigby was going to let Skips die for some cake but Mordecai told him no. Rigby was a straight up selfish villain at first whereas Mordecai was just a bit of a jerk.

Something I like about Regular Show is that it’s not afraid to have its character act like complete assholes from time to time. They never go too far with it in my opinion and it makes them seems more three dimensional because I feel like we all have moments in our life where we look back and realize we were being a real dick.
Rewatching the series I saw Rigby go through a progressional growth, especially when Eileen gets introduced. Mordacai’s surprisingly starts to become worst (though he still isn’t too bad)

Something I like about Regular Show is that it’s not afraid to have its character act like complete assholes from time to time. They never go too far with it in my opinion and it makes them seems more three dimensional because I feel like we all have moments in our life where we look back and realize we were being a real dick.
Rewatching the series I saw Rigby go through a progressional growth, especially when Eileen gets introduced. Mordacai’s surprisingly starts to become worst (though he still isn’t too bad)
To me mordecai stays mostly the same it’s just he can’t function with relationships. Still never fully lows that Rigby had early on tho
How mordecai become worst? The only bad about him would be his relationship, even that part of the blame was on CJ.

Deandre It’s not that he was a douche, he was a total dumbass. Benson told him not to grill the hot dogs, and he did it anyway by putting too much gasoline, Mordecai told him to hold the door because the door closes on its own and he uses 2 bags of ice to hold it one laying down and standing up which is pretty terrible support, should’ve gotten a few instead of 2 but it’s cartoon logic. And nearly got everyone killed from drowning in I don’t know some kind of sauce? He only got away with the hot dogs because of the wrapper and claimed Benson was the one that bought them.
