Ta Benjolin is a fairly famous (in the tiny synth niche anyway) synthesizer designed by Rob Hordijk. It is contains two oscillators driving a chaos circuit Rob designed called the Rungler which is a digital shift register. It also contains a comparator and a low pass filter. All of these things are wired in a curtain way to create the Benjolin instrument. I studied Rob’s writings and talks about the Benjolin as well as a block diagram I found that illustrated the default normalized signal flow. So I then gathered modules to match every block of the Benjolin design and put it all in a little portable eurorack pod. So my Benjolish Noise Box is just a tiny modular synthesizer inspired y studying the Benjolin.
👋
What is a "Benjol-ish noise box"? How did you make it? Can you buy it? thanks
