I’m a retired mechanic of 40 plus years. Worked on everything from cars, trucks, semi trucks and all types of industrial machinery, …These men are real mechanical of the highest caliber. They get job done and nothing stop them. Not tools, parts or excuses. I would hire anyone of these men to work in my shop
I guess thats the attitude you have to have, the real talent is shown when you are doing stuff like this, less than adequate tools, poor conditions and hard work, like you said no excuses they got the job done and done right.
Good job on fixing a transmission with minimum tools and spare parts. Removing and replacing the transmission in the middle of a roadway in the dark is no easy feat either. It is interesting to see how they lift up the transmission to bolt it in. Good job of making the video.
This guys are impressive. They do not have the complete tools to do the job but a big salute to them because even when you see that you think it’s not repairable like the differential, who would think that they were able to remedy the situation repairing the truck in the middle of a highway. Those broken parts were restored and was re used instead of replacing the whole assembly. It could have been costly for the truck owner. I enjoy watching this guys on you tube. If you watch them, the first thing that goes in your mind is something that they can’t fix but it’s the other way around. They never failed to impress me.
True shit. Just their life style. You see that tranny fluid?🤣 in a country with poverty to this level you don’t care for treating the car at all even if it’s only once every few years. You see those videos of the guys in Nigeria replacing control arm bushings with just chunks of rubber? They make it work cuz that’s all they got so they need to use that. I know you know that, I’m js
The way this people improvise is just amazing. Imagine what they can do if they have more appropriate tools that they can use. Salute to these men, you are some of the Earth's jewels.
Some crazy bastard swapped an engine in an Audi A4 in a truck pull off a few years ago near me. He cut down trees and used them as a frame for a come along engine hoist. Cops and everyone else let him too lol
Watching these guys take on heavy repairs like this with such limited resources is amazing. I can picture a scene where they are all standing around a workbench staring at it in astonishment at such a luxury item. Even if you gave them a free workbench it wouldn’t be more than a couple of hours before one of them converted it into something more useful or used parts of it to fix something else more critical.
I am surprised that welding to thicken the damaged axle, and then machining the access off gives a good enough metal surface to run the new bearings on. Truly remarkable. Most garages in my country will not even touch a worn gearbox, let alone open one.
i would love to be a mechanic for a trucker in a country like this. they are more of engineers "in the train and ship" aspect of it that you're there trucking with them and when something happens you're there to fix it.
When I needed recovery to tow my car 6 miles home I thought the recovery man was going to cry when he had to set up his little towing system on his van.
Makin some pretty heavy cuts there bud. They got it done though its impressive how they do work over there. Id say that repair lasted as long as all the clearances were close. Be intresting to see something showing how long these types of repairs last.
nice job not a quick fix :) do like how the metal turned red, blue gold red back to silver 😎😎bummer that it didn't show how the case was cleaned or added gear oil back in it and impressed to use the drive shaft as a pully 😎😎and that he new how to put the gears back in place👍 again nice job 😎😎👍

✨🥂
Brilliant with a string
Easy trans install
Wah

Gotta hand it to these men. Fixed a jammed transmission using only hand tools. No power tools, steel toe boots, or equipment truck. Humbling 🙏🏻. 😊
Or a work bench.
Did you miss the lathe and the welder? Those are classified as power tools.
it's going to break down again same place in a few weeks.
I saw a few power tools lmao
Pero@@robertt6292
These guys will get the job done, no matter how much difficulty or danger is entailed. Kudos!
They will get you rolling again but with a "fix" like that not for long.

You see it being put back at the end they pulled it with a steel cable wrapped on a steel bar i don't know how to name it in English

But they NEVER give up ---- no task is too big or too small ---- honestly admirable

Explain other appropriate
tools . Ex
The gearbox expert World easily get a Green card and good paid job in a truck garage...but sure he wants to stay were he is with those circumstances
13:23 I wonder if they wear a mask when they weld or not, questions that keep me awake at night
Amazing. These guys due with what they got. No fancy snap on tools or electric impacts. This is the real deal.
✨🥂
You'd never see them fix a transmission on the side of the highway in Canada or be allowed to. But that's what I love about this channel.
✨🥂
That's a whole lot of bullshit. From Ontario, Canada and we have mobile mechanics do this stuff all the time on the 401 and various highways.
Some crazy bastard swapped an engine in an Audi A4 in a truck pull off a few years ago near me. He cut down trees and used them as a frame for a come along engine hoist. Cops and everyone else let him too lol
@@aidenschvatkok5732wtf😂😂😂
Just compare the cost of repair in Canada and in Indian sub-continent. 😂
There is nothing they can not fix or repair ...24 /7 getting the job done 👏🏼👏👏🏾
A causa della povertà lavorano giorno e notte
Respect for these miracle workers.
Under these circumstances I must say: good job guys, good job!

That rag trick to pull the gear set out was my favorite by far!
Love this people, nothing stop them 😊
I am surprised that welding to thicken the damaged axle, and then machining the access off gives a good enough metal surface to run the new bearings on. Truly remarkable. Most garages in my country will not even touch a worn gearbox, let alone open one.
That transmission will have the same exact issues in a couple hundred miles maybe 1,000
That was slick. Ingenuity. Hope they put oil in the transmission. I may try out that hoist method.
These guys are fearless!
Now when it comes to this I’ll definitely respect them 💯
Respect to these Grease Monkeys😍 especially to the precision welding and turning that damaged shaft to fix in its sleeve is remarkable.

Great job guys
Tremendous job.

They certainly took the "temper" out of that shaft when they welded it and the gears closest to the weld. I wonder how long it could last?

Parabéns pelo trabalho d vocês abraços.
When we reach the Mad Max era, these guys will be worshiped as kings
did you put inside the gear box lubricant ?? i have not seen that, without gear box oil will not last long ...
All of their skill and ingenuity. But no tables!
Very experienced machinists
