We drove up that same road after leaving yours on Saturday. Moss in the middle of the road shows how quiet those roads are. I can quite see why the Council use you for snow ploughing locally. The views from the Car Park at Stinchcombe Golf Course over the Severn Valley and onto Forest of Dean were stunning - thanks for the suggestion.
@@FarmerP We did chuckle at the coincidence of meeting you Saturday and have Grace Cock on Sunday Live thumbnail. I was at Grace Foods UK for 15 years - we sold a lot of "interesting" stuff.
Loved watching your journey through the country lanes there, just like the lanes I drove around in Shropshire for 25 years! Took my Russian wife through them and she became totally demented! 😅😅😅 And I took her round the lanes of my childhood in West Wales, arguably even worse!.😅😅😅 The 18 Mtr sounds like the way to go! Better yield and less diesel! ⛽
Having spent my life in the USA, I always marvel at your roads. I know the history, but still so small, narrow. It works then, doesn't it. Considering the number of men, equipment, and steady work use, I think you do very well in the repair/replace of it all. No, Martin didn't contact me!
If Martin ever where to branch off into some new adventures, deconstruction would maybe in the cards :) All kidding a side, I'm sure he's more annoyed with the hole thing then everyone else, best of health and weather for the tree team, and hope they get to have some wonderful time off doing the upcoming holidays. Merry Christmas, greetings from Denmark.
Looking good Ian! Glad that the yards are doing as well as you had hoped, except the feed rails. Have you come up with a solution for the smaller cattle escaping? Any good ideas yet? Hate to think you might have to keep the small animals off on their own for some reason. That would suck!
I’d never run over a 6 month old combi hedge cutter… at all 😖🫣. Just thinking, if you go 18m which is a bit of an odd size now, why not go 24m🤔 could have a front tank for counter weight and capacity. I reckon our new Holland would man it so with your front links and weights you’d be even better set up 🤷♂
Well nice narrow drive .I would like to know why they don't let you know before hand too .But I suppose they never will let you know when a road is closed , That would be to easy . How many times a week do you muck the place out .? Is it like every other day ? That's alot of muck .they enjoy a clean bed that's for sure . Night .
Tiger Millard, remember him well, and his buddies Mansell, and Francis, also, Bill Macha, all regulars at the Bar at the New Inn, Bill Thomas wss a friend of mine, some years after I had moved out of the area, Bill got in touch, and insisted that I attend his 50th Birthday party, I remember him saying.... males in my family don't live much past 50, I may not be here much longer, to which I replied, nonsense you're as fit as a fiddle you'll definitely make old bones, well, he was right, I was wrong, he died a few years later, I should have been at that party. Did Martin work for Bill?

Always refreshing to see some manual labour from our favourite farming UA-camr. Great job Ian. 😬

18 metre Sprayer is Definitely the way to go, think time you've been twice up the field you've saved an extra wheeling over a 12 metre.
Did you find the "Speed Sensor Plug" ?
Another great video mr. P. 👍👍

I have a 1990 100 hp deutz no problem with a 1200 litre with an 18 meter boom 😊
Cleanacres sprayers at Cheltenham would be worth a look, they do used trailed mounted and self propeled sprayers.

The replacement shaft alone is £400 inc vat on the polesaw. A quick job to change though.
Aside from concrete on the floors, and a little more overhang for some equipment, and rou happy with the shed?

Yes David, we do the basic stuff ourselves, fluids and filters etc, but get it serviced by an engineer about every 500 hours too.
There's a 2 missing from the video title also.
