I am so glad my two kids are 2 years apart. They are actually 2 and a half years. They are now 9 and 7. They are the best of friends.
Derik is right. It is sad at first. I felt so sad to miss things with my oldest. I mean things like my husband would take my oldest to the park and I would stay home with new baby. But that wears off fast! They will have that sibling for the rest of their lives.

Agreed! My brother and I are right at 2 years apart. We have always been best friends! My husband and I have a 2.5 year old and 9 month old (18 months apart) and at the very beginning, it is hard, but that truly goes so quickly. We are looking to start trying for our third around spring or summer of next year. :)

All five of my children were born between 16 months and 2 years apart. I loved it and they always had a best friend to play with, I also enjoyed having them all young and now I'm a young Grandmother and love every minute. Ultimately, you know what you can handle and what You feel spiritually about the spacing of your children.

I have 4 children all 2 yrs apart. They're close knit (they're grown-30, 28, 26, 24) having them close in age has many positives & negatives, as does having them with years in between. Whatever fits for YOU & YOURS IS UP TO YOU. 🤗
I have 3 kids and my 1st two are almost 3 years apart and it was great because at least the 1st child was out of the diaper and bottle stage.😊💗 I think Jack will be an amazing big brother whenever you guys are ready for a new addition to your family!😜👶👣💗Also all babies are different personalities!😊💗💙

Don’t sweat it! My first child was a terror when he was a baby. I was so scared to have another but honestly, it was one of the best things for us. We never thought we would be ready but it all just worked out perfectly. My boys are two years apart. Go for it! God‘s got this!

I'm the eldest of three, and my mum had my baby sister when I was 3 and a half. Yeah, it was pretty tough losing most of my parents' attention, but I was so happy to have a new friend to play with and I loved the idea of being the older and responsible one. That was my experience, but whenever you guys are ready it would be so sweet for Jack to have a sibling!💕

It is no one else's business when you are going to have another baby! I'm a grandmother of 2 and I wouldn't even ask my children when they plan on having more kids!
That is such a personal choice between a couple so don't let anyone try and put pressure on you to have another baby!
I have 4 children and they are 4 years apart! That was our choice, but unless those who are doing the asking want to foot the bill for a newborn, do it on your own speed, not anyone else's! 💖

I agree that having kids 2 & 1/2 yrs apart is perfect. My oldest was only 4mnths old when I got pregnant w my 2nd. My oldest was used to being rocked & held by me when he got his morning bottle. I will never forget the look on his face when I was rocking & feeding his brother & he toddled over to the rocking chair holding his arms up saying "Up,up" & I had to tell him I couldn't pk him up just yet. He looked so heart broken! There is 2yrs & 9mnths between the 2nd & 3rd so it was easier,in a way. Of course I still had 3 boys all under the age of 4 at one time so it was never easy.
Hawaii is one of the beautiful places to live. I was stationed there for two years and we called the rain “Liquid Sunshine!” Whenever it rain we continued with what we were doing because we knew the sun was going to come back out shortly.
In Florida we call that type of rain a "Sun Shower". The only time we go inside during a sun shower is if it's lightening ⚡. 😊

There are 4 of us kids. We are each a year apart almost to the day. We loved it growing up. Our mom died really young and now we are in our early 60's and still very close. BUT. Do what feels right to you guys !

Jack is the cutest! My adorable daughter started walking at 11 months too and she was also obsessed with airplanes and would point to them and say B. The letter B was her name for anything that was flying . My son would call the full moon a balloon! I cherish the toddler days when kids can be so darn cute and of course they can be so stubborn. I live in Kenya. We have power outages often. Cold showers are our best friends. We're have a big plastic pan and it becomes a mini pool for the kids, in the shower.

I think if you wait until Jack is 2 to 3 years apart, it will be so much easier if you wait until Jack is potty trained and all. It will be harder to potty train one with another baby in tote.

My boys are 1.5 years apart. Wouldn't have done it any other way. My oldest helped so much with getting my youngest to learn things. He taught him all he knew.
It made parenting easier because they always had a playmate instead of always needing me to entertain them.
They did everything together including potty training.
I promise you figure out how to love and shower your kids equally!!
I had all of those same worries when my husband and I went from one child to two. I look back on that now and I know that it's such a real and vivid worry, but it's not really one that is the reality. You find out almost immediately that you both will have good interaction with both kids. The newborn and the toddler. It truly works out in that you both will help with both and it will be okay. Now we have 3 children and they are all teens now. They are buddies and they have had each other to play with and get into trouble with their entire lives. I think that giving them a sibling was the best thing we could have done for them. The adjustment from one to two kids is huge, but it does eventually feel normal and it works. I'm definitely not saying you should be ready or even that you have to have more than one kid. That is totally a decision each couple has to decide for themselves. I just want to encourage you that you don't have to fear those changes. They do work themselves out.
