    I love the simplicity of the design it’s very much like having that classic little black dress in the back of your wardrobe that can be dressed up or down, so is it with this necklace by changing the two main beads and their colour it’s either high tea or casual 🤗 I can so see this in all stunning whites to complement a wedding dress or in black and whites for a formal bow tie dinner event to nice summer bright colours to be worn to the disco (yep showing my age now)😹😹 or party. I can not wait to give this a go with different types and colours of main beads. It’s been a long time since I have seen a design that’s grabbed me like this 😹
    Thank you for sharing this design with us ☺️☺️

    I did this a few years ago using glass pearls 😹and when I made the bracelet I added the smaller top bead onto the other side of the roundels and that gave the bracelet an even look 😺

    Really pretty and so simple to make. I think this design would also be awesome with pear/teardrop or briolettes en lieu of the rondelles - graduated larger in front and smaller toward the back. (Happen to have some.) Definitely gonna make this necklace. TFS!
    BTW, is there a pdf for this necklace?

    I'm having trouble with finding size 5x8 rondelle beads. Can the pattern be adjusted to a more easily acquired size like 4 or 6?

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  7 років тому

      Yes this pattern can be easily adjusted for a variety of shapes and sizes, including round beads, drops, bicones, etc. You can find 5x8mm rondelles here though for gemstones:

      And here for Czech glass:

    Hi I love this style. What is the name of the style of beading? And could this be a first time project for beginners?

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  8 років тому

      +Nicole Mendes Yes you can do it as a beginner. Any beading using needle and thread is generally called "bead weaving." You just need a few basic supplies like size 10 beading needles, wildfire or fireline thread, and of course beads.

      You can use quite a variety of different beads in this pattern, and may just need to make small changes to the number of seed beads, depending upon the size of beads you are using.

  • @Pattimac87
    @Pattimac87 9 років тому

    Would it work with 6x4 Swarovski rondelles with no changes? Would it work with a teardrop Swarovski? If so, what size teardrop? Thanks for the great videos.

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  9 років тому +1

      +Patti McLain Fulton Possibly for both, though it is hard to say without trying it. If smaller, you will probably just need to make up the spacing with seed beads.

    I've gotten a bit confused after reading your list of materials in the about section. it says that both 11/0 and 8/0 seed beads are being used, but in the video, it looks as if you only used 11/0 seed beads even though you never mention the size. So should it just be all 11/0s?

    • @Potomacbeadco

      Yeah should be all 11/0, mistake in the typing. Need 2 colors of 11/0.

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  8 років тому

      +Florence Dusong It still depends on what are the cheapest products you are using... czech glass, gemstones, chinese crystals? There are a lot of different rondelles, crystals, seed beads etc. If you are trying to price items, I would experiment with different pricing at different points, and see what works for you in your area.
