“‘Future Proof’ is about trusting your intuition in order to move from the certainty of hopelessness to the uncertainty of hope. It’s about disconnecting from present pain to begin a personal journey down a path towards recovery...a path full of unimagined beauty that ends in a true connection to the love that surrounds us all.” - Keith Buckley // MANY EYES

"FUTURE PROOF" SONG LYRICS:
How did it come to this
One last time
This continental drift
Our great divide
I belong where I am future proof
I’m alive all the time
Instead of here with you
What kind of love is this if it’s not divine
A temporary fix, the last of its kind
I belong where I am future proof
I’m alive all the time
Instead of here with you
Theres something you’re not telling me
I can feel it
I belong where I am future proof
I’m alive all the time
Instead of here with you
I belong where I am future proof
I’m alive all the time
Instead of here with you

Im obsessed with Keith's clean vocals! There's something he's telling us. I can feel it.
They're clean, you can figure it out pretty easily
He's telling you to fuck off. He's in love
Man, this is incredible. I'm so happy both sides have found a way to keep pushing themselves musically. Love them all!
Late 90's or early 2000's vibes 🤘🔥
Was thinking that too! Like Stabbing Westward or something ha!
Why can't it be the year 2000?
I want to live in the year 2000
Me too pal
Yeah me 2 I was young. LoL
Theses 3 releases hit on so many levels so far. Stoked for the album to drop.
People moaning about the 3 singles many eyes have released is wild. These are incredible and show how different Keith can be vocally, all you haters just want ETID and it ain’t gonna happen!
Can’t wait for the album to drop.
Time keeps on slipping slipping slipping…
I CAN FEEL IT I CAN FEEL IT
It is not easy to make music. It’s a maturity. He can’t always make hardcore metal. It’s good music. Let him cook 🎉
There's no such thing as "Hardcore Metal." That's not a thing. "Hardcore" when used to refer to this kind of music explicitly means "Hardcore Punk." It's always been Hardcore Punk. In 1979 Black Flag and Bad Brains made the first Hardcore Punk albums but the name Hardcore didn't exist yet so they were calling it "Real Punk" because the Sex Pistols were a manufactured Boy Band. Then in 1981, Canadian Hardcore band D.O.A. released the album "Hardcore '81," and from then on the name "Hardcore" stuck as the name for actual real independent punk made by kids on independent mostly self-run labels (Bad Religion had Epitaph, Black Flag had SST Records, Dead Kennedys had Alternative Tentacles). Then, in the 90s, "straight up Punk Rock" became to be applied to music that sounded like 80s hardcore, while the hardcore scene got way heavier, but never lost their punk rock core. If you listen to Smash by the Offspring, a straight up Punk album from 1994, it sounds exactly like Bad Religion from the 80s. So 80s hardcore became the sound of "Punk Rock" from then on, and "Hardcore Punk" evolved. And a HUGE amount of Metal bands were half (or even mostly) influenced by hardcore punk over Metal, and so then you got fusion genres between Metal and Hardcore. Thrash Metal was the first. It's half New Wave of British Heavy Metal, half Hardcore Punk. Then there was Black Metal which is 2/3 punk in it's lineage, as it's a blend of Death Metal, Thrash (1/2 hardcore punk), and hardcore punk itself. Then later you got metalcore, which is the most wrongly-used label of all time. Metalcore is Killswitch Engage. Poison The Well, Converge, Every Time I Die, The Bled, and similar bands from that era were all mostly mathcore, taking their inspiration from Botch, the first mathcore band. Mathcore is just hardcore with extremely complex musical arrangements. It's math rock but for hardcore punk. There are VERY few popular metal subgenres that aren't a fusion with hardcore punk. Straight Heavy Metal (modern heavy metal) isn't, but NWOBHM was, Lemmy from Motorhead always said he felt more like a punk band than a metal band and had way more in common with the hardcore bands than metal bands. Melodic Death Metal and shit obviously isn't very touched at all by hardcore. Just like Melodic Hardcore isn't very metal, it's straight up hardcore. Bands that get lumped in as part of this "first wave metalcore revival" are all hardcore bands. Knocked Loose, Counterparts, Jesus Piece, those are all hardcore punk bands. They all say it, it's obvious, and you can just tell it by who's in the crowd at their shows: Hardcore kids, no metalheads.
Please don't say hardcore metal. Here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardcore
All the terms referred to as "Hardcore." You'll find Hardcore Punk. You won't find anything related to metal whatsoever.
@@gardotd426 whoah there partner, you expect me to read "All that Hogwash" by you?
@@bomonttyler "all that hogwash" shouldn't be in quotes. Learn how to speak English.
@@gardotd426 it's a meme, you dolt
@@gardotd426 "Real Emo" only consists of the dc Emotional Hardcore scene and the late 90's Screamo scene. What is known by "Midwest Emo" is nothing but Alternative Rock with questionable real emo influence. When people try to argue that bands like My Chemical Romance are not real emo, while saying that Sunny Day Real Estate is, I can't help not to cringe because they are just as fake emo as My Chemical Romance (plus the pretentiousness). Real emo sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat HATEFUL. Fake emo is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music. Some examples of REAL EMO are Pg 99, Rites of Spring, Cap n Jazz (the only real emo band from the midwest scene) and Loma Prieta. Some examples of FAKE EMO are American Football, My Chemical Romance and Mineral EMO BELONGS TO HARDCORE NOT TO INDIE, POP PUNK, ALT ROCK OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE
I like their range. Just shows the talent and how we are going to see them successfully moving on from ETID. Buck is the man and this is going to be great!
За останній час це кращій гурт який я чув! Хлопці, я вас послухав і моє сердечко стало частіше стукати! Дуже чекаю на альбом!
Wow.im actually impressed.and i didt think i would be. I feel that etid will exist down the road again,i hope. Lifes too short when youve been bros for 30 years to let bs tear it all apart for the rest of life. But i actually like this. Hes a great vocalist and always has been
Fantastic many eyes happy 2024
This has been stuck in my head since their show in Buffalo a couple days ago. They played a great set, and it was amazing to see Keith as happy and excited as he was. The range and passion of this project are all indicators of many good records and shows to come! Can't wait to lose my shit at the next show when ive digested all the lyrics!
Many Eyes is a staple for my weekly music.
I freaking love this! It has like a modern 90's alternative/post hardcore vibe to it that I super dig.
My Lyft driver was jamming to this when he picked me up a couple days ago. NGL, I thought it was new A Perfect Circle for a few moments.
Someone in comments mentioned the Steve Miller thing. I hear it, too.
Thank you for this great song! I am so grateful to have music from you guys like this during my ongoing journey through recovery from alcohol addiction. It nearly brought me to tears! I don’t mind that it’s gentler than some people expect it should be, it is wrought of feeling!
Can't wait for the full album. Many Eyes are killing it so far!
I listened this song 20 times in one day only.
On repeat !!
Love all 3 songs so far! 🔥
Incredible! Can't wait to see them next month 🤘
“Hey man, nice shot!”
Great.!!
This is incredible!!!!!!
Keith's vocals are fucking amazing ❤ great work from Many Eyes
saw you guys in Pittsburgh last night and it was so great to see Keith again. Missed the energy you bring the stage!
How many song did they play just the singles?
Love it 🔥
This is great!!!
How beautiful 🥰
Oh this is awesome!.
to the commenters who brought up steve miller band, thank you. i could hear it but couldn't place it. parts of this song also remind me of taking back sunday. buckley can do it all, a talented dude. i love it. the damned things were great too, if you didn't know. keep it up man.
Excellent tune!! ❤️🔥
Thursday can't come soon enough
🔥❤
This made my day thank you
I fucking love this band🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
This song rules ❤
Can't wait to see you guys in Seattle and Portland. It's been a long minute Keith, Kate and I are super gasses. Much love my friend see ya in a few weeks
Love this stuff. I don't need more ETID I need more of this vibe.
Big disagree , I need more ETID
12/10
Revelation still the best release so far.
For me it's Mystic Chord. Revelation sounds a bit more Etid than mystic cord sounds like something new.
Im rly liking the variance in their songs so far and hope they keep it up. Something i always enjoyed about etid was the variance throughout the years. Even comparing songs from the same album, there was still quite a bit of variance. And paired with keiths lyrics capabilities, im hoping for a solid concept album
I don’t see why everyone keeps comparing Keith to Steve Miller and other artists. Keith is Keith.
getting some heavy muse vibes (madness)
Soundgarden vibe RIP Chris Cornell 😝🤟🏻
This is absolutely what modern music needs. This has the vibes of 90/00s alternative rock.. and i'm all for it.
I CAN FEEL IT!!!
I cant say this is a bad song nor merely a Keith song. Sounds like a Many Eyes song.
For those upset about the heaviness, this one is going break necks live (in the same kinda way Deftones does that live).
But damn is this ever radio friendly. In a way that i can say ive heard this song and structure before by thousands of other bands.
Really trying to avoid ETID comparisons here. Theyve got a mellow bunch but theres some spice that always set them (mellow songs) apart from their peers.
Eh, i guess my only concern here is this band being 'just another band' when i know thats not and shouldnt be the case.
Fckn great song. 🖤
Man those vocals between 2:10 and 2:30 are killer
Love it!! That chorus!!
Killer song! Killer video! Keep up the great work guys!
Generally, i'm not into this style of music but I like this. You can feel the genuine emotion in keith's vocals.
Love it!! We'll have to add it to our Reacts playlist. Already did Revelation and Mystic Cord
I randomly stumbled onto this song a while back. I remember liking the vocals, and thinking the song was fine but unremarkable. I only just found out both that ETID broke up and that this is Keith's new band.
Stellar Work Guys... Cant wait to see you live!
Dat chorus is fire!
Gonna be a great debut album !!!
This is awesome! It’s like a velvet revolver feel!
been loving these geezers, anyone know the album release date?
Just listened on Spotify. Good stuff, super chill, different than the other singles. Excited to see the music video that gets paired with it.
You just commented on the video . . . .
Amazing. Super catchy. I can see this blowing up on all the radios. Best of luck to the boys!
Can't wait to see you guys in Hamden on Wednesday!
👀
Such a catchy tune. It’s different from ETID and The Damned Things but further shows the range with Keith even with a musical direction change. He can do it all… Anyone complaining is just expecting ETID2.0 and can get that from Better Lovers IMO. Both can be great bands albeit different styles.
Bring it on dudes!
get that bassist on a table STAT ‼️‼️‼️🔥🔥🔥
It's giving Thing With Feathers. A little tame for my taste considering the energy in the first two singles, but I'm impressed with the range this song demonstrates. Love the bass line. Ultimately, it excites me for what the rest of the album could sound like.
Too bad I can push the like button only once
In before the premier. Very excited to see what this song and video will be like. Been loving all of Many Eyes releases so far and think that the events of 2022 and early 2023 were necessary. It's only through unshackling dead weight can we fly freely.
Need an album, double would be nice, asap! Great song
The chorus is stuck in my head. So catchy!
🤘 what an awesome song! Keep it up guys !
Massive ‘things with feathers’ vibe and I love it. Loving the variety they’re putting out.
Holy shit. This video is 🔥🔥🔥
Did Many Eyes just release the best 30 Seconds to Mars song?
Just enough time to listen to the other Many Eyes songs
No way jose...all that remains u will be missed
A very Foo Fighters vibe.
I like how unique all the songs are.
I listened to this on short.fast.loud and the bassline was 🔥🔥🔥 the vocals were a god-tier accompaniment to the altrock vibes
It's not heavy in the traditional sense but I feel the emotional heavyness. I also love that you can understand what the vocalist is saying and that what he is saying has a point to it.
Mooore, mooore sooongs
So excited!
I can hear some fades of tool in the lows.
DUDE WHEN THE FUCK IS THIS ALBUM COMING OUT?!?!?!
I think it's next month, March at the latest.
Saw them live in florida and the whole crowd turned into a pit
Why does this song remind me of filter
Gives me a perfect circle vibes!
+Foo Fighters ^^
His voice when he singing the part futtureeee sounds just like vocals in a filter song. Heard it as well.
“i don’t want to be a better lover..” I DO
Every song so far has been fantastic
Anybody getting Steve Miller 'Fly like an eagle' vibes??
Time keeps on slippin slippin slippin... into the futuuuure... proof
I hear Army of Me by Bjork. It’s the lo fi bass lines.
100%!!
Absolutely
More like "Into the future " vibes
I cant wait.
Hell yeah
2 out of 3 isn’t bad I guess.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
loving everything Keith is on
Korns of the Stone Age

This album is shaping up amazing
🤘👀👀👀👀
