Please don’t ever feel that no one wants to watch your videos. Everything you produce is of interest and some of your nature films are absolutely stunning. I have learnt so much about traditional building and animal husbandry from your work but some of my favourites have been the ordinary, every day family ones. I love watching Ivar growing up. I’m fascinated to hear the Swedish language and find so many words that are the same as, or very similar to, the English ones. My family are from the north east of England and we use the word ‘bairn’ meaning child. I’ve heard it all my life but didn’t know it came from Scandinavia. Life is for living, and family is a big part of life. So, please feel free to film everything important in your life. By the time Ivar is five, he will learn to leave you alone when your are working on the laptop. His brain just needs to develop a little more. I was reminded of an experience of my own, when you described working on videos and Ivar being so interactive. My daughter was young when I studied for my PhD, and my professors felt I had lots of time to work on my studies WHILE I cared for my daughter... and their expectations reflected that attitude. They were fools at best, and inhumane at worst, I never knew which! Of course, my daughter's best interests were prioritized, by me.

I loved this video and your thoughts. You will soon have your cabin to live in and this might become your office away from distraction and Irar will know you are at work when you go to this cabin. It will soon make sense. I have many days of thinking this way redoing my 1840's stone building for months and barely getting anywhere and so tired. Sleep and a day or week away fixes everything! If you have the funds you can maybe pay someone for 2 weeks to help you get ahead faster, it will lift your spirits. Easier said then done I know, when money is tight. Let yourself have these days of wonder and then get at it. You are making memories and not all has to be wonderful and family filled. You both have done a beyond wonderful job raising your son. The general format is quid quo pro - you offer some of their preferred activity in exchange for some activity you want. My daughter's third grade teacher could not believe that such agreements could work on such a young child. I did not share with her that her word was good at three years old. Caveat, your word must be 100% true. Breach at this age - does not go well ... If there is interest, we can discuss it further. Good Lunk!!

There are many draw backs to sharing your family with strangers on the internet...but take heart, many of us feel it is a privilege and honour to watch him grow. I probably won't have grandbabies, and I know I am not the only one. You are helping fill a little need in my heart. Also, I am Canadian and I watch your content because it's nice to feel I'm not the only one still in winter! Kids kill creativity some time. It all goes into them. You are only getting more creative because he is teaching you to adapt and grow. You might not see this now, but you will in a few years.

I have been watching you guys from before Ivar was born. I thoroughly enjoyed his birth video, as I am a nurse-midwife from the USA, now living in France. I have loved every single video that you have made and especially the ones that have show Ivar as he has grown. It's like watching one of my own grandchildren growing. Please know that it is a pleasure seeing Ivar going from that new born baby to the three year , who is now celebrating those three years with his family!!!!!!

I have three daughters. My oldest shares her birthday with Ivar, though she is five years ahead. We do not have television at our homestead, but I allow them to watch your channel because it is so wholesome and it is good for them to see other children living a similar life. They ask to watch "Ivar's snow house" and get so excited every time there is a new video uploaded. For them, the channel is Ivar's. They love these "focused" videos especially.

I loved this video and your thoughts. You will soon have your cabin to live in and this might become your office away from distraction and Irar will know you are at work when you go to this cabin. It will soon make sense. I have many days of thinking this way redoing my 1840's stone building for months and barely getting anywhere and so tired. Sleep and a day or week away fixes everything! If you have the funds you can maybe pay someone for 2 weeks to help you get ahead faster, it will lift your spirits. Easier said then done I know, when money is tight. Let yourself have these days of wonder and then get at it. You are making memories and not all has to be wonderful and family filled. You both have done a beyond wonderful job raising your son. Consider verbal contracts. We found they worked well, even at a very young age.
The general format is quid quo pro - you offer some of their preferred activity in exchange for some activity you want.
My daughter's third grade teacher could not believe that such agreements could work on such a young child. I did not share with her that her word was good at three years old.
Caveat, your word must be 100% true. Breach at this age - does not go well ...
