This gives me an idea to use a free magnet card found on my fridge doors, cut it into small strips, put on double side tape and stick a pair to the drawer and frame. Will see if it works.
Not too different than the magnetic catches that hold kitchen cupboards closed (and thus keep the cat out), but the thin sticky magnets are a great idea for lightweight drawers. I am just curious about the type of wood used for the cabinet? It is unusual and gorgeous. The pulls are cool, too.

I had the same dilemma with the drawers on the dash of my RV. Every time I accelerated the drawers opened up and every time I hit the brakes they would close. There was no adjustments on the slides of the drawers. Thanks for this idea.

As far as I can fine, 3M does not sell such a product. The Nextclimb magnetic tape by 3M does not stick to itself either. Is this a hoax?

Well, yeah, it'll work but somehow goes against me to stick magnets on the visible part of the cabinet on furniture I paid alot of money for. That'd just go against me every time I open the drawer and see that magnet. Not so bad on the inside face of the drawer itself. One thing, however...if the drawer goes completely flush against the cabinet, it no longer will since the magnets will take up some space. If a drawer is opening by itself, I'd say something has gone bad in the track mechanism and /or whateveer device is employed to prevent the drawer from opening. In my case -since I'm experiencing this problem with a piece that's only 2 years old, all that's in the back of the track is a little rubber piece on either side that the open end of the track fits over. Not the best engineering solution I'd say. The company is going to look at it and see what they can do.
This is a really good idea! Cheaper than buying different rails and faster than trying to adjust the rail or cabinet for various installation issues.
