I have the tyee cf 6 in a medium I’m 5’7 and 140 pounds. I love this bike. I’m running it at 27.5 front and rear with tacky Chan tires and it’s awesome. Suspension platform is awesome reminds me of mondraker

I love my Tyee, I almost wish I would have waited a year to get a mullet option but I'm happy with my 27.5. I sized down strictly because of the standover height. it was a bit high for my inseam and I'm glad I did. I think a medium (I'm 5/8) would have been fine but more on the big side and less playful.

While not the updated version, I ran a 2022 Tyee CF for a year and loved it. I am 5'10" and went with a large, which was pretty spot on with my reach preferences. I replaced the stock wheels with carbon i9's and went to a longer 180mm dropper (160 was not enough). I did struggle a little getting the rear shock (2023 SD Ultimate Coil) set up to my liking at first, at 200lb, I ended up with my Springdex eventually set to 600-610lb (max), which was a fair bit higher than the charts suggested. Also took a bit to get the rebound feeling good and balanced with the front Zeb Ultimate, but eventually got it all sorted and the Tyee was a fantastic ride. I'd agree that it's handling is very middle of the road. Meaning it is well balanced. Does not rip turns quite was easily as my Strive CFR, but it was stable, fun and very easy to get along with.

hey happy new ladies and gents. i am a happy owner of a propain rage, the dj bike and i love it ever since. had a chance to ride the tyee a couple of times last season and likes it so much, i want to have my own. saving the money now and hopefully be able to get my dream bike later this summer. i also don’t mind getting a bike from 2023 just to save some money for traveling.

I’ve had my aluminum tyee for about 20 rides. It’s heavy, maybe 37-38lbs, compared to my carbon trail bike. Between myself and my friends who rode it, we feel that it’s one the best pedaling enduro bikes and doesn’t feel like a 37-38lb bike. Even with the coil shock I installed on it, it pedals better than my trail bike, and just makes for a quiet, soft, and enjoyable downhill platform.

I'm riding my tyee 27.5 for the third season now, I've got the previous version from the one on the video so no flip chip. Propain doesn't recommend turning that one into a mullet unfortunately but the bike is awesome, dirt shields really do the trick I didn't have to replace any frame bearings. I did have to replace bearings in Newmen hubs though and my Sram GX was a pain to setup plus I had to file down some teeth on the cassette because the chain didn't get on them well and made noises. RS coil and Lyrik combo are super plush, this bike rides through everything and you don't really feel it much on your arms and legs I was super impressed by that. However, with tacky tires like Magic Mary and Big Betty it felt like pedaling through tar, I've only replaced the front tire with Assegai and it got a little better, rear tire is still hanging on though.

I got the Tyee CF mid summer and it exceeded my expectations. Threw some DT Swiss 514 wheels on it along with the new Rockshox Vivid Ultimate and it's been a monster truck on the downhills. At it's price point there's probably not a better bike out there.

Thanks reviewing a German brand just couple hours away from where I live. Unfortunately their 2022 models seat tube was too longe in size M to put more than 160mm dropper at 5f8“. Now they shortened it but decreased in the same amount the insertion depths, so I still could only fit a 160mm dropper in a size M. What is this in 2024? You don’t get the same issue in L/XL? I ended up with the Rallon 2022 and am happy with 200mm dropper :)
What I like about Propain that they have a long history with good parts like full Formula Selva/mod coil/Cura setup. Or before changing to newmen (nearby company) they were one of few German brands with notubes rims

Listen up bois, headset cable routing - big dealbreaker, it's literally useless, even aesthetically it's worse so what's the point eh?
HOWEVER: Iv'e been on a Tyee since 2022 and GOD DAMN LORD MY MAKER, this bike is an absolute beast, I'm sure the geo updates make sense too.
Tip if anyone's buying the Tyee: Do not opt for the EG.30 wheels, they are simply bad.
Numerous reviews on the propain fan page, incl. myself, they don't hold up.
Either spec up, or down, and get yourself another pair whenever the cheap ones break.

@@godstrashman Never trust a stranger with candy my man,
Other than than the cable routing they're pretty solid, depending on spec of course.
Do check clearance of rear disc rotor in relation to the frame mount and adapter,
it will rub on some frames, so you'll need to put a pedal washer on the through-axle to shift the rotor slightly to one side.
This is mostly if you're on wider rotors, but some cases the calipers will be hard to centre because of this so just check, it's probably chill.

i ride the last generation (almost same geo but not headset routing) since 3 years and it's a really decent bike. suites me fine in M at 5"10. could be 10mm more reach, a little slacker headangle and bit lower bottom bracket then it would be fine. also the rear end functions way better if i go way above their coil strength recommendations (they recommend 500lbs at 85 kg (don't know how many pounds) and i found 600 lbs to suite me best).
but i think i'm done with propain because of the headset routing on their newer models. even if they get rid of it in the future. it's jsut not cool to pull up with that shit and shove it in everyones face with aggressive bullshit marketing. tells something about their values. RAAW madonna would be my choice nowadays. very similar geo but all about maintainability.

Thankfully the headset cable routing is optional on that one. Does Propain sell complete bikes set up without headset routing? Did you guys have bottom out issues on the coil? 55mm stroke shock is REALLY short for 160 travel and would seem very coil unfriendly. Especially compared to the GG Gnarvana (RIP GG) that the other presenter has which is an extremely coil friendly bike.

So interesting thing about the suspension is I think it’s the same as Mondraker. Is a multi pivot. I have tested both coil and air. I don’t notice any travel issues. I’m 140 pounds and have a 475 spring rate
