IMITATION technique - SHADOWING in Russian - Lesson 2

- Imitating a Russian native speaker improves your pronunciation and expression faster than any other speaking practice.
How does it work? Each lesson consists of 3 steps:
1. Watch the video and read the text. You just need to understand what I am talking about. Look up some words in a dictionary if you need to. Watch as many times as you need.
2. Here you have pauses after each sentence. You need to copy me 100%: words, stress, pauses, intonation, facial expressions, and gestures.
3. This is the most challenging part - you try to speak WITH me. It might not work from the first time - just try again and again.
By copying a native speaker, you are teaching yourself to communicate in the most natural way!

Ну ты зна́ешь... Так вот, по́мнишь но́вый кинотеа́тр в сосе́днем райо́не? Там огро́мный экра́н! Э́то бы́ло су́пер! Звук, карти́нка, актёры, му́зыка... Всё на вы́сшем у́ровне. I LOVE these shadowing lessons, both of them. They are SO helpful for me to feel the flow of the language by doing it. Quite difficult at first but I keep doing it over and over and finally can do it. Please do more of these.

I can't do it just makes me mad
start with 1 phrase and repeat it until you drop from fatigue. Next time add phrase number 2 and so on.
