Emily, I am going in for my 3rd treatment of Sculptra next week. What do you feel about microneedling? And when and how do you feel i should incorporate it? Also do you like the pen or the stamp method better? I appreciate you and your channel so much! I wish you traveled across the country and did VIP visits. ❤
@@bellakim9404 Glad you found the channel helpful! I don’t do microneedling but I do feel it can help stimulate collagen on a superficial level, like to help improve acne scars. I don’t feel it will interfere with your Sculptra treatments you just may want to space it out so that it’s not done on the same day or a few days because when I do Sculptra I clean the skin very thoroughly so the skin may be a little more sensitive.
Sculptra yes! Filler- personally never!

Hi Emily. I also adore Sculptra. Sempre Viva.
@@jenxsj3902 Hi! Good to hear and thanks for sharing 😊
Excellent information, Emily. I once had Radinesse by an expert provider, however i ended up with three small nodules on one side of my face. He said they would disappear in time, but two years later, still there, so now i am hesitant to get more. So important to have a good provider, and at the time, being a doctor thought i would be in good hands. It's a great product, but the key thing must be to find a good injector.
Really enjoyed your video. 😊
@@patslade8008 Glad you enjoyed the video! Curious, did you have Radiesse as a filler or hyperdilute?
All these biostimulators are PERMANENT. Everything else is a lie by the injectors and producers. They have NO CLUE about the actual duration...patients are being misled about making a PERMANENT change to their face. It's unethical.
That's why the nodules are still there. It will never go away. Believe me...I can live with the knowledge that my face proportions are PERMANENTLY fed up cause one greedy injector pushed me into a biostimulator shit when all I wanted was to improve my scars. F hate all the cosmetic doctors. Bunch of unethical, lying people who couldn't care about your face or your mental health any less as soon as the payment is done.

You're so pretty Emily! I love your channel and it has helped me in making the right filler choices! Because I was a mess before. My face looked like this: 🥴
@@AnAdorableWombat1 Awwwh that’s so sweet thank you so much for your comment. I’m glad it’s been helpful in helping you make the right filler choices!
I love my sculptra. Had four vials about a year ago. I’m now trying Profhilo for my neck
Hi Emily, I appreciate your incredibly informative channel!
My local med-spa is telling me to add topical sculptra to my microneedling sessions to help the lines beginning to appear on my mid cheeks (not nasolabial folds). My questions are:
-Volume or Wrinkles: Is sculptra only for creating volume in the face? Or can it also help cheek wrinkles which are in the epidermis?
-Injection levels: Is sculptra only injected into the deep dermis for volume? Or can it be injected at shallower levels to help wrinkles? Or even applied topically during microneedling to sink into the upper level of skin (to help wrinkles)
-Maybe I should save up for renuva for cheek wrinkles?
Thank you for all your work providing such detailed information on your channel!
What about using sculptra or other biostimulators on breast skin?
I really love sculptra, Started at 56. I got a small amount of HA filler earlier and didn't like it, probably because I have a narrow face and it didn't look natural. I'm now 60 and get it topped up annually. I don't even bother with botox because I don't mind the crinkles around my eyes. Just wish it wasn't so expensive.
@@janenicholson4056 Thanks so much for sharing your story. Curious where they placed the filler to on your face since you said you didn’t like it? What made you turn to Sculptra?
@@NaturalInjector I got a mil of Voluma in each cheek. It actually looked too sharp and unnatural on me tbh. I talked to the nurse at the place I go to and she suggested Sculptra. I ended up getting 6 vials spaced apart and by 6 months I really loved the results. Dermis is thick and firm and yet I don't look puffy.
Have you tried PDLLA like Performa from France? It’s supposed to last longer and the particles are smaller less chances for nodules. Thoughts?
Why do some Dr’s prefer bacteriostatic water and some Saline to mix? Is there a difference?
Thanks for this information, Emily! Is it advisable to do sculptra if I want to have a surgical facelift in the future? Could it prevent it in any way or affect the outcome for the worse? Thankss❤
Hi Emily I am Asian with dark skin and prone to hyperpigmentation and also once got hurt while jogging and my upper lips got three stitches in the hospital , so my upper lips got keloids on the injured area , so after a few injections In dermatologist in healed but my question is since I had this keloid problem before can I do sculptra ??? Or not ??? Will it activate keloids again ???
Hi Emily, I’m wondering, what is your opinion on Sculptra but for treating acne scarring? I have acne scarring and I’ve done several microneddling sessions, CO2 laser twice and subincisions once. My scarring has fade like 60 or 70% and my Dermatologist suggested Sculptra based on the fact that most of my scarring is localized over my temples. I’m 33 and would like to do it but I’m not sure if it’s really gonna work for that 😩
I had sculptra for acne scarring and it did improve it quite a bit.
Hi I got hyaluronic filler on my nasolabial area I'm 54 years old and I'm thinking of getting sculptra do I have to wait until my filler go away to get sculptra? I do one sculptra for lifting effect but scared of getting lumps and bumps and sculptra is not reversible
Can it be used to shorten the philtrum?
@@maddalenazavatta1808 Sculptra? No I don’t use it around the philtrum area
@NaturalInjector ok thanks for replying. My mouth became wider with age, and my philtrum longer and i don't know what to do except for a lip lift 😓
I am in Asia and have tried PDLLA already and it was a disaster. It’s still very popular in Asia (mostly Aestafil) but I think within the industry there were already a few cases of blindness. I am terrified of that and I trust the watery texture of sculptra makes it safer in this regard (am I right in this? Less likely to cause occlusion?)
Thank you. Huge fan of sculptra here and want to get it forEVER
Can sculptra be used around the eye area?
Is sculptra good to replace bone loss in the face?
@@samanthamari3 There is talk that Sculptra may stimulate bone but I don’t think it’s been proven. I will talk more about this in an upcoming video on regenerative aesthetics so hopefully you subbed
I had my first sculptra 3 weeks ago and did my massages etc. But I’ve noticed some tiny bumps like pimples at my temples hairline - im not sure if to massage more or leave them alone - hope they go away before my next treatment
@@lanac1636 were you massaging with some sort of cream?
@ I was using a cream for 5 days x5 as directed by my NP. It all settled ok then I notice these little bumps. Im not too worried after watching your video
@ The bumps are may be from the cream you were massaging with. The cream may have caused a breakout.
Emily, I haven't heard you talking about Sculptra results on neck. Can you give us your opinion? Thank you
Do you have any video of you actually injecting a patient with your technique? I’m curious because I’ve been to 2 providers who had drastically different techniques.
Would you do sculptra under the chin to tighten a double chin after Kybella?
@@user-rf6gq8vz5v Good question. I personally would definitely consider using it, even though it’s an off label area. I actually had my submental area treated with Sculptra but I need to get more treatments.
Do you recommend doing 1 vial a Year once achieved results
What is your opinion about Radiesse and which one is bettet?
@@micejimicejk1238 Great question. I used to use Radiesse in my face years ago, as a filler. Hyperdilute Radiesse is known more as a collagen stimulator. The company doesn’t have FDA approval for hyperdilute Radiesse yet. I think Sculptra is better at stimulating collagen from what I have asked from colleagues.

@@andistar13 Thanks for sharing! How did you first hear about Sculptra?
Hi Emily, can I have Sculptra on areas where I’ve had fillers before? Such as cheeks and the nasolabial fold? Do I need to get them dissolved before having Sculptra done?
@@viviqi123 Hi. I would follow up with the provider you choose but in general yes, you can have Sculptra in areas that you have already had filler done. I space it out a few weeks before treating the same areas as filler though.
3 1/2 months ago I had 2 vials done and then 2 more 6 weeks later and my injector said she’d be surprised if I didn’t see results until 4-6 months. What are your thoughts. I feel like I can see it on one side of my face that has more dense tissue and the other side is taking longer. I may need another vial but should prob wait a couple more months.

@@NaturalInjectorit is permanent. They say it's 2 years but it's a lie. That's only how long the study was before they were able to bring it to market.

Was sculpted used in the 90s? I had something put in my under eye area and it was called nuface at the time and it left me with nodules.. So a bit worried about using Sculptra which could be the same thing but renamed
@@thinktankcritic5267 Great question! Yes! Sculptra used to be called Nuface. However 🤚, it was reconstituted with a lower amount water back in the day, and because of the lower volume/higher concentration, the problems with nodules were more prevalent. Also, it should not be used under the eyes. We now reconstitute with a lot more water than we used to and we have gained a better understanding of how the product works, including where we should avoid. That’s so interesting you had Nuface. It was called Nuface before and around the time the US got FDA approval for HIV. Did you get treated in the US?
Can I use RF device on the area that have sculptra injected?
@@nvong I would clear it with your provider but I tell my patients they can.
I’ve had 4 vials of Sculptra from 6/23 to 11/23. I started using the NEWA (mfg is EndyMed) RF home device 2/24 & haven’t seen any negative effects to my Sculptra.
Thx for the information, one thing I don't see much of is a description of how to apply sculptra. I had 2 vials and one was done just above the bone and the other was done more in the skin area and I went back for a 3rd vial 6 weeks later and she did 1/2 on the bone area and 1/2 in the skin area. Do you always do the bone part ? She said she always does cause she learned to do it that way.
Seems like my NP did mine the same but never explained it and I’ve been wondering. First treatment swelled a whole lot more and hurt a lot longer than the 2nd. Youre right though I never hear anyone talk about this. I’ll ask the lady that did mine this coming week when I see her and report back if I can remember
@@Glossyvixen Ok ya reply back if you do, thanks
@@vroomgcok so here’s the update - she said it all depends on which part of your face she’s injecting. So for temples they go to the bone, cheeks have more fat and you don’t go deep there, etc etc. so this now makes sense now based on all the other videos I’ve watched as well. Hope that helps!

What do you think of Bellafill?
@@mrsfloragoforth4130 I’m not a big ran of what it’s made of. It’s like an acrylic like substance that does not get absorbed
@@NaturalInjector I'm so glad to hear that because that's exactly what I thought! My doctor offers both and wouldn't really give me any clear answer on which would be better for me. I almost went with Bellafill because I saw it was specifically approved for treating smiles lines which is exactly what I wanted treated (mine have gotten very deep with age) but then I read that the microspheres that are suspended in the bovine collagen never dissolve and that freaked me out so I ultimately went with Scuptra and I'm very glad I did. And also the aging aspect is irrelevant...thr proportions still will never go back to normal unfortunately. I'd love you to prove me wrong.
But thr truth is that all injectors are insincere or just lack actual knowledge in this regard and if a patient is unhappy they basically messed up their face permanently. It's terrible
@@Saibu-uo4ts i don’t know of anyone personally who has ever ended up with a terrible result from their own collagen being stimulated. Feel free to give some examples if you know. The aging aspect is not irrelevant because our faces are always changing which is why the results from Sculptra would never be permanent.
