Forgotten Land was great for what it was, an incredibly transition into 3D and a great game, but Robobot was tweaked to peak Kirby perfection from beginning to end
I remember when I played triple deluxe it quickly became one of my favorite video games and made me want to play more in the series, there’s some that I really liked that came out earlier such as squeak squad and the crystal shards. I only played a bit of return to dreamland but I should probably buy the new one. I was so hyped when Planet Robobot came out and holy shit. The previous one was a solid and likely most well rounded game in the series but I think this one is almost anything I could ask for. The forgotten land was also something I was excited for and I mostly kept my hopes down based on Star allies and it’s good for what it is but I’m starting to realize not much compares to this gem.
Fun fact: in order to get the right sound for the beginning part of Studying the Power Plan, Jun Ishikawa broke his reading glasses by placing them between the strings of his guitar!
Star Dream is still to this day my favorite boss theme from this series period. It includes both of Planet Robobot's main themes, Kirby's theme (Green Greens) and Meta Knights theme! (Battleship Halberd)
Void Termina and Fecto are still amazing FB Themes. They all hypnotize me. As for normal Boss themes I still love the one from Triple Deluxe, that‘s still my fav normal Boss theme in the series.

Studying The Power Plant is a remix of a song from Kirby 64 called Studying the Factory. It had a ominous feeling and it definitely deserved a mix in Robobot.
Jun Ishikawa, one of the main composers of the Kirby franchise, is a big fan of electronic artists like Kraftwerk and Brian Eno, so I can only imagine how absolutely thrilled he was to work on a Kirby game with a distinctly electronic soundtrack
SOMEHOW NOBODY RECOMMENDED PINK BALL ACTIVATE?! THAT'S ONE OF MY FAVORITE KIRBY SONGS EVER! Ok, we NEED a Planet Robobot part 2. It deserves one anyway, this is straight up the pinnacle of 2D Kirby, at least in my opinion. I recommend: - Pink Ball Activate - Haltmann Works Elite Management - Lively Street - Flight of Azure - Neon Leboratory - and Crazy Rolling in Money.
The Halberd Motif in "Vs Star Dream" never ceases to get me hyped, one of my favorite parts for sure! Also any "Factory Inspection" remix in the Kirby series is just a guarenteed banger, hands down.
Planet Robobot is one of those games that I always suggest people play *after* having played/seen more about Kirby. Alot Kirby tends to share alot of similar vibes. (Cutesy relaxed very whimsical sounding, often referencing and remixing past songs and fan favorites) Robobot in contrast goes for a full techno/mechanical theme and in comparison really does stick out from the rest.
One info about "Bright Spinning Planet" : This music is a title theme of this game as you know, but this was originally a prototype of the final boss theme. After the composer made this, the chief manager suggested to make this theme a title.

Here is the list of it.: Residental Laboratory (2:37~ 4:31): Sky Tower from Kirby's Return to Dream Land (2011) Studying the Power Plant (9:21~ 12:09): Studying the Factory from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (2000) VS. Star Dream (12:09~ 17:42): This one has many references. But I'll just give the text from WiKirby. "It starts with a slow arpeggiated piano intro with gradually fading beeping noises, based on "Vagrant Counting Song of Retrospection". Following the intro and opening of the battle, the theme from "First Contact" takes off at a faster pace in C minor, then F, F-sharp and B minor, with a rising counterpart, until they peak at a C major chord. The power plant theme is based of another theme of an old kirby game (kirby 64). From a planet called Shiver star in wich is presumed to be an abandoned planet earth full of machinery, in constant freezing cold climate.

This is how I describe Kirby music. It makes you settle down for a moment at times, sometimes adding some suspense. And then, when not expected, the music suddenly turns into something more intense. It feels like sitting down on Kirby’s warpstar. You settle down for a moment, and then next thing you know, you’re zipping through the sky at great speed. There’s probably a better way to describe it, but this is the only way that I can. And it fits well!

The entire fight is probably my favourite boss fight I've played, the mechanics are really fun an very unique, the scope and set pieces are super cool, and all the music is just oh MAN it's so good!
I saw you recently did Fire Emblem Awakening’s OST and I HIGHLY recommend Fire Emblem Three House’s soundtrack. Apex of the World, Tearing Through Heaven, Blue Skies and a Battle, Between Heaven and Earth, God Shattering Star, and Fodlan Winds are some of my faves. The game has a pseudo sequel called Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes as well where they took the songs and rockified them and it’s amazing.
So little fun fact, the Star Dream fight is "timed" in the third phase, and that theme definitely blares a sense of urgency HOWEVER the first and second phases were just phenomenal and though they weren't supposed to be stress-inducing the music helped the fight seem more urgent than it really was.
Always love a return to kirby ost, especially arguably the best one. Cant wait for this journey to continue, especially when we get to Star allies and the best kirby song, the star conquering traveller

I hope you do touhou music in the future. The entirety of the series help caused the creation of undertale and all of its music. As a plus the creator of the series is very lax with the copyright for his characters and music which allows for anyone to create derivative works of touhou from song remixes to selling your own games. For some song suggestions they are Gensokyo the Gods Loved, Broken Moon, Maiden's Capprico, Love Colored Master Spark, Flowering Night, Hartman's Yokai Girl, and U.N. Owen Was Her.

Kirby music is amazing! My favorite Kirby soundtrack remains that of Canvas Curse, it's really unique and all over the place ^^
I moderately reccommend Don't Starve: Shipwrecked/Hamlet/Together. it's a small indie survival with quite the orchestral soundtrack. most all the songs are around 1 and a half minutes

If i could recommend one game’s soundtrack, it would either be scott pilgrim vs the world the game which i would say is one of the very few soundtracks that has no bad songs

Sonic rush which has the single most unique soundtrack of any sonic game and gives it one of the strongest identities of any sonic game

Residential Laboratory is a remix of Sky Tower from Kirby's Return to Dream Land. This game has a lot of callback tracks.
You only got 2 songs with the recurring theme in them - the first one and the last one. You should do another video on this game!
If you continue the splatoon series, highlt recommend you check put tracks from the Octo Expansion, specifically '#8 regret', Shark Bytes, Fly Octo Fly, and '#14 Crush'.
